I thought I might clue you guys into where I've been for the last few months. I've temporarily put SixtyGig on hold while my time has been spent working on my first retail PC/Mac/Linux video game, Retro-Pixel Castles. Don't fear! SixtyGig IS NOT CANCELED. I just don't have time to work on both projects side-by-side. I will be returning once development on RPC has been completed or has slowed down enough to give me time for both!
This pack is truly a one-of-a-kind... my favorite of all, I haven't found one that I like more... I'll miss using it... and since none of the 1.8 blocks are added, well, I guess it's pretty much a goodbye for a long while eh

Just so you know, you really don't need MCPatcher to use HD texture packs. Forge/ForgeModLoader takes care of hd texture packs, and also optimizes them quite a bit, as it (in a nutshell) makes Minecraft use your graphics card for loading textures. (Forge/ForgeModLoader is also not compatible with MCPatcher, so if you have used MCPatcher, you wont be able to install many mods)
You *do* need MCPatcher to take advantage of the more advanced features such as Connected Textures and Individual Item Textures. And MCPatcher *is* compatible with Forge, I'm running both alongside several Forge mods.
Ray, I'm glad your pursuing your own game, I can't wait to play it, and I hope all is going well.
I have a question for the community, however; which resource packs do you use to layer over SixtyGig to fill in the unsupported and new textures while Ray is on hiatus? I can't stop using this resource pack, and I don't really want to see default textures either. [:
HayateEpitaph, I just say your post, and if I understand correctly, you can just apply another texture pack on top of SixtyGig and it will use that texture pack to fill in the blanks. I could be wrong, however.
In theory, if you have this and another pack loaded up together, it will load up which ever one is on top, then pull missing textures from the one below it. I've had trouble getting this to work most times, but that's what the new resource pack system SHOULD do. Using this, and pulling what's missing from the right resolution of Sphax BD would look nice. Or better yet, just use Sphax. It's always 100% percent complete...

So, we can use Optifine instead of MCPatcher but we have to turn on some settings for it?
Because I have been using the pack without the advanced features for a long time because I didn't really want MCPatcher. Now I realize this and I'm on 1.8. And I have to use another resource pack when I have been depending on this the whole time. Sphax doesn't have the speciality this one has.
This is 1.7.2 (sorry, latest version I could get to work with everything)

Used Forge, MC Patchers, and GLSL Shaders Mod (linked in above post on SEUS).

No, you haven't. The last time it updated was, at the earliest, this June (that's when 1.7.10 came out).
Keep up the good work, Rayvolution!
10 points if you know who ⬇️ is.
Please update this pack, It would be greatly appreciated!
Any chance of an update? Will there be any more progress?
This looks really nice!
