That's great to hear! I've loved it myself for a long time as well... Metallurgy's ores and such keep me really bogged down without Backpacks. And speaking of Metallurgy, I was thinking of doing some textures myself (I already made my own Metal Block textures); When I finish, would it be a possibility for mine to be posted as an alternative file?
EDIT: And on another note (Sorry), I was also thinking of creating textures for Balkon's Weapons; Namely, Upping the textures for the Spear, Halberd, and Boomerang (which does not exist) as well as their according "long_weapons" textures. Is this okay with you? I wouldn't want to intrude on work you've already made/are already possibly making.
Never-the-less, thank you so much-- for everything, really. This texture pack wouldn't be the same without you.
Aw, thanks.
And no, I don't mind people making alternatives! The more the merrier. I end up with a severe lack of time every so often and that's why suddenly I'll have ten packs of mod support finished and then months of not being able to finish! I've really got to get the stuff that people have submitted in this thread added to the OP. o.O
Hi, Cuddle.
Is this texture pack coyright-free?
Because I made Buildcraft-addon's texture by your texture and now I use it by only myself.
If your texture is coyright-free, I want to expose here.
could you do a better than wolves support please ?
Its on his to-do list, a partial mod-support download was released but not everything.
There is a download link on page 2, I believe; for the BTW support that is available.
Sorry for the dumb question, but how exactly do I install these mod textures? I'm using Metallurgy, Twilight Forest, and ExtraBiomesXL, and I'd like to use the summerfields textures for those mods.
Also, my tool icons/models are the default ones, and the glass texture (as well as glass panes in wooden doors) seems to be missing. I use OptiFine and have all settings geared towards optimal performance (No animations, etc). Not sure if this could be the cause.
So I finished editing the weapons.png (The Icons) for Balkon's Weapon Mod! Here is the link to the file (Just right click and save); http://i.imgur.com/F1cBv0R.png
My changes include: Correct orientation and placement of icons, New Spears, New Halberds, New Fire Rod, New Flails, Musket w/ Bayonet, Loaded Crossbow, and Blunderbuss edits, Original Boomerangs, Minor Tweaks.
I'll have the rest (long_weapons.png (Textures for equipped spears, javelins and halberds), cannon.png, and boomerang.png) done sometime.
I have a question about setting up the additional textures.
For the Painters Flowerpot mod It was simply dragging the Folder from the .zip into the Summerfields folder.
Unfortunally for Xies Mod that didnt quite work out as there was no Complete Folder and simply dragging all the stuff into Summerfilds.zip didnt work.
Im using a 1.4.7 Minecraft ( well obviously xD ) and would like if somebody here could hint me to a solution.
You should just be able to drag and drop. If it's denying access, check your permissions on the .zip file and make sure it's not in read-only mode. If all else fails, unzip the entire texture pack into the texturepacks folder of Minecraft. It will still read the pack that way and you can more easily drag and drop the textures you want.
Some of the older support has had files be moved in the mod since I made the textures. The best advice I can think of at the moment for those is to open the mod .zip and look at the file structure in it. So if the old folders were called "BestModEvar/Textures" and the new ones are "BestModEvar/Textures/Blocks" you'll have to make new folders and put the textures in the right place. D:
As for Pam's Harvestcraft: It's been in the works for a long time. It's a huge mod and I want to have complete support. So what will be happening is that I take each component, like the Apple Trees, and finish them up one at a time including all of the food that they add. I actually have the brunt of the work done, it's just changing it all over into the new format.
Thaumcraft is another one that has been sitting on my To-Do list for too long now. It was on there way back when vis could be pumped through tubes and you could duplicate any 'simple' item. That's how far behind I'm running!
hey dude i love this texturpack i have been watching it from the beginning and its really good but i have a issue balkons weapon mod has updated to 1.5.1 and he has split it so now there not on one sheet any more they all have there own files i would love you to address this thanks
I really appreciate the work you put into the Backpacks Mod support; but I have to say, I'm not exactly... thrilled.
The only reason I speak my mind about this is because you've stated before that you're open to constructive criticism:
...and also means that I am quite open to constructive criticism. If you don't like something, tell me why and maybe suggest how it can be changed.
Let me start off by saying I really like the designs for the backpack icons themselves. They're original, they stick with the feel of Summerfields, and they don't stray too far from the original icons. However, the colors are really what get me. Some of them are too dark, and some are way too light. They don't seem to really blend in to their material; the backpacks are made of leather, after all. The shading could use a bit of work; I'm no great artist, so while I can't give exact critique, I can tell something's off.
Overall, I think they need to be revisited; but they show promise. And please, don't let me leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth-- that's not my intention. I want to not only improve the textures, but improve your skills as a pixel artist as well so that you can go on to create even better and more wonderful textures.
And speaking of textures, I also created new recolors for the original Summerfields wood texture (Jungle, Spruce, and Pine), making them usable in newer version of Minecraft. I'll PM with the files if you're interested.

He finally updated? Phew, thank goodness for that. Now I can finally play 1.5.1. Thanks for reminding me!
But more on topic, I'm on it. I have files for the "upgraded" version of the current Balkon support, so it seems only fitting for me to do it. I'll post a link when I have it done.

By that I mean I had no idea where to put them, it was just a folder of random stuff, some where icons, some where mobs, some where armor. I think it should be better organised and instructions on to download them would be nice.
The Twilight Forest support is way out of date if I recall correctly. Even if you manage to stick it in the right place, you won't get too far.
I started playing whit Wildcaves 3 mod. i am really liking it makes caving a hole lot more fun but now i dont have this Great TP to go whit it. can you plz support it ? would relly like that
keep uo the good work !
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
You Gotta try Summerfields, Norsecraft and Better Breeding !
It is my understanding that the way the textures are organised have changed and that this has made the Twilight Forest texture pack unusable. I'm sure you've got plenty of things to take care of, but please do let us know when/if this is fixed on your end, as I'd really like to try out this mod but haven't really felt inclined to... as it is quite ugly without your amazing texture pack
Aw, thanks.

That's fine. I missed these crazy guys!
I actually put them into the AltPack with credit. Basically if it could be used in vanilla Minecraft, it went into the AltPack.
I've also finished the halberds and the crossbow, but those aren't too exciting.

May I aslo add the Request of two mods being:

Okay, so I updated the Balkon's Weapon Mod support for 1.5.1! Here is a link for download: http://www.mediafire.com/?rv8iiaanqd6zlec
This is only the items/icons portion of the textures, though. I'll do the rest some other time. If anyone needs help installing, feel free to reply!
