Supposedly in future versions of Minecraft there will be an option to select multiple resource packs. One for textures, one for sounds, etc. Hopefully they'll get on that sooner rather than later (and break everything all over again) so that you won't have to re-add your music every time.

If and when I split it up there will be a basic version, and one with all of the MCPatcher/mod stuff. This way people who want the lightweight version can get it, and those that want the extra features can get the add-on and run both.

What it will mean is that you'll be able to make your own Sound Pack, and then run it along side Sanity without having to add anything from one to the other. Just get the current version of Sanity, replace the existing version, and you'll be good to go since your sounds remain untouched.

The more I see of the influx of sound packs clogging the forum, the more intent I am on not including any sounds in Sanity. I'm not going to do a full-conversion of the sounds, so I think I'm going to keep this pack a pure Texture Pack.

I'm... kind of offended that my pack would be used along side any sort of rap music. On the other hand... well... at least it's Korean rap so... I guess I'm OK with it.

Sorry for not posting on this thread much. I've been busy traveling. Today I was in a deep jungle. Here's a picture of me and some friendly locals:



The people of the jungle, despite having resources to spare, wear crude furs as clothing. I tried to teach them some civilized methods by making some leather armor... but they didn't seem to care much. I even dyed my boots lime, but this too utterly failed to impress them.

Interestingly, when I enchanted my armor with the Unbreaking books I had brought with me the normal purple glittering turned a deep black! Could it be I've unlocked some new kind of arcana that makes my armor look awesome when enchanted? Only time will tell.

It will be amazing! And only Unbreaking will be black. Every enchantment has its own look.

Also, glad you like the villager skins. I'll try to post more when I can. Next will be snow-biome villagers. Problem is that it's hot at my place, and the last thing I want to do is draw winter coats.

Psy is listed as a rap artist on Wikipedia and several other sources. I have to agree with that.

The music of Gangnam Style has more in common with Pop while the vocals are very clearly rap. Again, being Korean, it seems to pull it off without being offensive to either genre. That's why I can tolerate it: It's literally the best of both worlds without the faults of either.


I really need some opinions on this. I've been thinking for a while about making the golden items a more realistic gold hue rather than the bright yellow with orange accents I've been going with. I want to know everyone's opinion on this change before I go forward with it, as it will require a fair deal of work on my part to pull off.

Please vote whether to keep the yellow gold, or to go with a more realistic hue for the gold! Thank you!

One thing that most people don't get about the animals in my pack is that they all have eyes on the sides of their heads. Yes, all of them. What you think are eyes on that sheep are nostrils. I don't know why this is so hard for people to understand, but that's the reason the 'face' of the animal look weird: You're staring it in the nose.

As for the villagers... it's because they're villagers. They're creepy dudes. Doesn't matter what texture pack is being used, they're always creepy. My pack cannot change this. Villagers Are Creepy!

Thanks everyone for voting. I just needed to hear from my biggest fans to know I'm not making a huge mistake. I'll leave the poll up for a few more days, but unless I get a massive influx of people demanding the yellow gold I'll definitely be going with the more realistic tone in the next version. Thank you all very much for your opinions.

Well it was working...

I don't know why it broke, but I've managed to fix it. Give me a few minutes and I'll get a fixed version up on all of the download locations.

No replies for a few days? You must all need some new textures to keep interest high. Fortunately, I have just the pic!



"White traveling through the frozen forest I came across this group of travelers. They were dressed in thick coats appropriate to the cold climates, unlike myself who was clad primarily in enchanted armor. Despite their apparent preparedness for the winter weather of the region, they seemed astonishingly unprepared for the winter nights. Fortunately, I came equipped with an axe to cut down some trees, and a flint & steel to light a bonny campfire.

Upon my lighting the kindling, one of their number immediately jumped into the blaze and then ran into the forest screaming! The rest of the group was utterly nonplussed by this, so I can only conclude that it was a cultural ritual. (That or they didn't care much for the unfortunate fellow) The rest of the group seemed to have a far healthier sense of self-preservation and simply enjoyed the warmth of the fire throughout the night."
