Vanilla Remixed is a texture pack for people who don't like texture packs. At first glance, it is indistinguishable from the default pack, but most of the textures have been changed a bit. Most natural materials have been run through Photoshop's Pattern Maker filter, while many artificial materials have been left alone. The result is a refreshing change from the default patterns, while still keeping the look and feel intact.
I've also changed a few of the items. The items added in 1.4 have dark outlines, and most foods have their outlines once again. The nether star is now blue, to match the beacon, whose beam is now a bright white. Nether brick is now a dark concrete, to avoid completely destroying builds made prior to 1.4.6. An alternate terrain is included which has the default nether brick if you don't like concrete. Item frames are black, and so are command blocks, which are now made of black plastic instead of whatever they were before.
I like the idea of the Concrete nether brick, but feel it would look a lot better with some Connected Textures. And is that fireball in the background a nether skybox? It looks awesome.
