Thanks for the update, Jman. Just swung by myself to see what the status was, finally got around to downloading 1.7 and getting it up and running with texture packs and such.
No problem, I spent a bit of time getting some of the textures done, more on that in just a moment :3
my god sir i am beyond words all i can say is you are awsome i thought this was forgoten i dident even relise he had a place at mojang p.s. i dont use twiter or tumbler or facebook they are to fancy and by fancy i mean im an idote and dont understand them and cant be botherd trying
Glad to hear you enjoy it, can't take all the credit though, I'm more or less just the one who organizes the whole thing and makes most place holder textures until the more talented people can come in and do it, so I have to thank them more than anything
Oh yes, and on that note, I've spent a bit of time working on some of the 1.7 textures, or at least the ones that I feel confident enough to do myself. Still gonna be working on it more, but for right now, I have the stained glass, Acacia and Dark/Roofed/Aged/Old Oak wood stuffs, Red Sand, and Packed Ice completed. I wanted to do Podzol, but unfortunately, that didn't go so well, as you will be able to see in my latest video that should come out tomorrow, if my internet connection holds up. I'll post a link to it in the comments here once it goes up, and I'll be putting up the 1.7 download very shortly!
Video link (Note that this was before doing the stained glass textures, so that's why they aren't included):
this pack is my top to play minecraft with please dont stop
can't wait for the next update to see were it goes
was sad when the origional stoped but made my day when i found this
please keep on going you are doing a grand job continuing the eldpack
Glad to hear, I guess all I had to do was comment and a couple people have come back, so I presume that progress on the pack will hopefully resume soon!
I'm still around. Though i've never contributed with any actual work, just critique. Still very glad you're keeping it updated nontheless.
Speaking of which, glad to see you're still around! Sdsquid has contacted me about working on textures, and with the latest snapshot and all the 1.7 stuff that still needs to be done, we've got a lot on our hands, so it's good to have someone to look it over :3
EDIT: I went ahead and attempted to texture all the stuff added in the latest snapshot, and actually I think they turned out pretty well, so please tell me what you think! I do think that, particularly with Granite, the brick texture is a little too obvious, but I'm not sure!
Looks good so far, but I think there needs more contrast in the colors. As you'll notice throughout the pack, particularly in the plants that Eld himself textured, there are a lot of different shades of the colors that he uses, like in the rose or dandelion stems. Try to emulate that the best you can while you do these. Still a good start though, keep up the good work!
1, still waiting for wither boss and enderdragon textures.
2, on the pig, can you put a nose texture under the physical nose? I'm playing on beta 1.7.3, and the pig looks weird without a nose

Yeah, there are a lot of things that still need to be done, those in particular because they're complicated textures, and most of us aren't so good at texturing mobs
Also, I'll be sure to add the nose next chance I get!

mobs especially bosses are an insanely hard task to undergo resulting in us not doing them yet i will try to do them in the near future.

Glad to hear, hopefully the most recent version will hold you over until someone is able to texture all the new flowers and such!
Sure thing, you mean the dark oak planks, right? Might take a little while, since I haven't worked on the pack in a while, but I'll see what I can do!
On another note, is anyone still around much? No one has posted in quite a while, and I was curious if there was still much interest for the pack.
