With Optifine or MCPatcher, it is possible animates everything in game.
However, animation on mobs has another problem, if the animation effect just with slightly change, like put my waving-leaves effect on a creeper, it's hard to recognizes the effect on it with a moving mob. The other problem is it maybe looks weird indoor. Or something like the blinking eyes, it's also weird with all the cows blinks their eyes together at the same times.
About the glowing eyes effect, too bad even made the eyes with the brightest colour, it doesn't means it can glow in the dark like the spider or enderman. If really want this kind of effect, better ask a modder to do that.
But yes, it is a good step for started thinking about the ideas of mobs with animated texture. With good idea, even with simple technic can creates some amazing stuffs.
i meant it would LOOK like it glows... like it gets brighter then darker then brighter then darker, also maybe you could make a version with it? for people who are willing to have all cows blinking at once and stuff? also can you make waving leaves for transparent leaves?

Oh I understand now. Personally I like the creepers with hollow eye slots, but after the Optifine has a new version I can try the flashing eyes version.
Too bad or my cow's textures it's not possible make it blink because it's just a single dot. The blinking eyes should make it with eyes at least 2x2 pixels. Also, coder/modder is possible makes them blink randomly and not together.
Ah the transparent leaves waving textures... this is the main reason I still called this texture pack WIP, I still not yet found out a good way to make good animation effect with 16x transparent leaves & tall-grass. I still working hard with it.
why dont you keep the same animation for transparent leaves ? i mean, the dark part between the leaves, you can jsut take it out image per image, right ?
Actually I tried this way already. The problem is the 256-step transparent not works, neither Optifine nor the 1.5 Vanilla, the colours of each pixels only can be 100% solid colour or 0% pure transparent. It means I can't simply turn the solid version of leaves animation to be transparent leaves' textures.
I'm glad I normally use fast leaves, not because of framerate, but because sometimes it makes buildings look wierd(that also is weird) if they have leaf parts.

Actually for the items, personally I treat them as a symbol-form objects in the game, not the objects with the exactly visual image. Some kind of the animation will makes them too real, then they will also lose their symbol-form and look odd in game.
And, also personally, why a sticky slimeball dripping?

Before I tried several different way of animation for the Netherrack and actually it is the version 5 of my works, I picked it because it's the least tiled problem one of the five even it isn't the best. Thanks for the advice but I tried pulsing separately before, it with the heavy tiled problem because I can't make every block with random timing animation.
I hope I can make a better version later.

That actually looks utterly, positively, absolutely amazing. You have great skill with sprites, I must say. Utter shame about the tilage problems, though. Perhaps Mojang will implement the possibility for a random frame selection for each texture or something in the future? Great work either way.
I hate texture packs but this one. +1 I'm def using this.
edit: It's not possible to use 0.9 in 1.4.7? I changed from 0.6 to 0.9 ingame via OptiFine and the textures didn't show. I really want the shiny Netherwart.
edit: Too bad the Pigmen Zombies lost their Zombieness and i think the animated Netherrack is a bit too much. And i agree with the above, that other Netherrack texture looks amazing.

The reason v0.9 not suitable to 1.4.7 because that version made for the new Minecraft 1.5 texture format.
Actually I made the animated Netherwart long ago before v0.3 of this texture pack, too bad it has some graphic glitch so finally I removed them. The 1.5 texture format works fine with it so I put them back in v0.9. If you really wanna try it in 1.4.7, I can make a patch for you.
If you love the original Zombie Pigman you can simply remove the pigzombie textures from the pack, they will change back to the old look.

I tried this way and also tried with your pic, it's not waving but weird twinkling effect.
