For everyone's sake, slow down! Humanity wasn't ready for this!
I love the colours you used, you can get perfect colours for everything with a 59 colour palette and I can't find colours to make my textures look good with a 16 million colour palette! I specifically love the use of swirls in the netherbrick, and your stonebrick textures never cease to stun me!
Terrific once again! I can't wait to see the items and tools!
Edit: Almost five pages and a month later, I still love this pack. It is still looking great, and it's unbelievable it isn't getting as much popularity as some of your packs get.
You've outdone yourself Steel! I really love the color palette, the swirls, and the overall design! This is really quite a cute, fun, and beautiful texture pack
As always, very awesome! Usually, I find that simple packs are on the more cheery and bright side (not that I mind) but you do the "warm" look very well.
'Aight, I took it for a test run.

As I discovered while making this pack, it's actually easier to make things look good when you're forced to use a palette (so long as it's a good palette, however). Everything has so much more cohesion. You should try making a palette with colors you like and seeing if that helps you. Just make sure to throw in several ramps of gray/brown/white on top of the standard ROYGBIV. Especially brown.
Okay, back on topic. I'm not sure if I am going to make items and tools for this pack. Or at least, I'm not going to promise to make them. I have several other texture packs on my plate at the moment, and I don't want people to think that I'm hoping from pack to pack. (I just can't seem to stop myself from making new textures. I'm like a crack addict for art.) If any items/tools do get made, it will happen spontaneously, without warning, and I'll be able to hurl them at you guys and flee the scene without anyone suspecting that I'm making a serious, dragon-dance-displacing commitment to this pack. (Not that it would happen, but people would THINK that)
PS: I had to go back and count the colors on that palette after your comment. I had no idea there were 59.
Thanks for the idea, I'll have to see if I can get a good colour palette like that and see what happens.
As for the items, I always like your item textures, but I completely understand the commitment you've made to the other packs, and I know what you mean about making new packs. If you need to focus on the others, and have to put the items on the side, feel free, the blocks alone in your packs could keep me busy for a long time!
PS: I had to check the number of colours were in your terrain.png after testing it, because I thought you only posted half the palette or something. I could swear there are 100 or so colours.
I absolutely love it. But don't you skip out on any of your other packs!
I would have to suggest more detail on larger, flat areas.(Crafting Bench GUI)
And I wouldn't mind seeing a Mycelium texture with more shine. I like the squishy, slimy look, but, hey, preference there.

Blegh. I can't stand slimy mycelium. A nice moss is more my thing.

Nah, don't need 100 colors, but I could use 60....I just need one good orange for that pumpkin. It's the only texture I'm not happy with on the color.
This looks really great. It looks so happy! I'm not a fan of the breaking animations that don't look like it's breaking though. But I think I found a texture pack to use for quite a while and I'm sure I'll get used to it

It doesn't look like breaking but at least it's easy to know how broken it is.
Do a livestream or video of you texturing. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS.
It's amazing <3
You guys really don't want to see me live stream. I'd be the worst live-streamer ever. I do a lot of dithering about and starting over, and only sometimes do I take a texture from start to finish in less than 30 minutes. Unless it's simple, of course, and then it's not a problem. So I guess I could live-stream this pack, but I doubt that most people would want to watch me make simple textures, haha.
*cutegasm*. This blows me away. I didn't know it was possible to make things look so good with such a small texture size...
There's a lot of good 16x packs, you should take a look around. XSSheep makes some good stuff, and so does wayuki. Although neither of those are simple, so if you like simple packs pull up a chair and stay for a while.
Dandelion is a simple pack with style. And more cuteness than a basket of bunnies.
This pack was created for the Simple Pack Showdown, using only the following colors*.
*A few additional colors added to make my life easier.
Added:
-Chicken
-Squid
-Zombie
-Skeleton
-Wither skeleton
-Ender crystal
-Ender chest
-2 new paintings

I'll hold you to it! I expect to see a review here the minute you walk out of your last exam!! (joking, take your time)
Also, you definitely need to post those textures you made for the challenge sometime, sheep.

60 is the same as NES right?

I agree.
STEEL PLEASE DO A LIVESTREAM
This one is coming after the dragon dance on my list!

I have no idea. Ask someone who played/modded NES. (Which doesn't include me :P)
Lava was the hardest to make look right, so I'm glad you like it.
Neoncube made the palette-- I'm just coasting on it's awesomeness. ^^
As a reward here are some screenshots of the town I'm working on (Regular Size):
