@dadetroyer
try to reinstall mcpatcher make sure to hit the hdfonts button and maybe takke a look at the tp files and swittch the current font with the alternate one
Im curious. Because I never used the JS texturepack, I don't know just how much of the current textures is yours, and how much of it is that TP. What is left over (because all I see is a full texture pack, and all the textures are only associated to your pack by me as a result) that needs doing?
Oh yea, also, I wonder... did you ever play Thaumcraft in one of its forms? For some of your textures remind me of it (Thaumcraft 3 just came out like 2 days ago, been having fun with it in all it's glitchy glory).
Also, your texturepack often feels... arcane and as if there is light and dark magic all around, for some reason. So it REALLY fits in with Thaumcraft. Would make it a very good mod to do texturepack support over, and would definatally get your pack noticed (It hit over 400 replies... within 24 hours of release... lol. That is popular), as everyone likes it when their mods actually mesh well with the textures they are using.
But yea, a lot of your textures always seem to remind me of something from TC, from the design you have in the heart particles and on the gold ingots, as well as the cauldrons and sandstone/stone bricks (you know that face thingy), a lot of them seem similar to texture designs used normally in TC.
One LAST thing. Did you hear about the way texturepacks are being changed in 1.5? They are making it so that all that hard work you have been doing will be easier, as you will be able to instead just use gifs for the sake of animated images, and vanilla minecraft will support HD textures (Not sure on random textures and connected textures though).
I have a build I am doing with your pack right now, and ill show it off once it is finished (I only play survival most of the time, and this thing has already burned though about 2 double chest of supplies). Your pack naturally works well with Thaum, so parts of that will be evident in the build, like the Aura nodes that I will have supporting the two centeral structures. If you are looking for a fun mod to play with Minecraft that really refreshes the feeling of the game, check it out though. You will see what I mean when you build various parts of the mod's structures on why I say it seems like your pack has some basis in it. Enjoy if you wish.
Also, if you ever want to bounce texture ideas off me, feel free, I usually check this thread 2-3 times a day to see if you released some new textures to play with XD.
EDIT: You seem somewhat inactive lately. Any reason? Stuck on a few textures and can't figure out what to do with them? RL things holding you up? Finals?
don't worry to much, Thaumcraft is a big mod. But you have time. Just can't wait to see what you do with the fireworks, lol.
Just saying it would be nice if you found a mod or two you decided to support and build a texturepack for, as your style is one of the few I like. Usually I just look around and piece the parts of a few texturepacks mod support together, but Thaum is so new that no texturepacks have managed to set one up yet, and while it's default style is ok, it still looks out of place with your mod, considering it uses the normal Netherbrick texture on the Infernal Furnace instead of your texture for Netherbrick, and a few other small differences.
@steelflame hm well see how it goes =3 only thing is i dont play thaumcraft so its kind of hard for me to get into it (connection of blocks to each other is not clear to me) from that point of view it would be better to have someon do the basic stuff for me on which i can work on.(refine the texture)
Alright. I will compile the textures for ya, and try and make markers on them so that you can tell where they are relative to eachother in a world.
monsterfisher, I found that the John smith mod support pack has a TC3 section. Ill send it to you in a bit to see what you can do with it. Unless you just want to grab it yourself (to be kind to the people who actually made it by using their adfly link).
some textures are really noisy but as you probably noticed im still working on basically everything althrough i must say that i wont make the pack less noisy than john smith since i personally like it when textures come alive and dont look too "clean" its just personal taste i guess
Hi there.
Just wanted to say a couple of things:
I really like what you've done with your pack so far. I love the John Smith pack, and it's way cool that you're doing something in his style. I personally love the 32x, "noisy", "pixelly", textures of JS and think that smoother textures don't look quite right for Minecraft. So what I'm saying is, keep doing what you're doing, because it looks cool.
One piece of feedback/constructive criticism: your GUIs. I am not digging the "pointy finger" on some of the crafting GUIs, it just doesn't do it for me. But the backgrounds are really cool--I dig the trading GUI in particular.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest of the textures.
Hey, monsterfish, did you change the texture of Netherwarts growing recently? The texture changed on me, and I don't quite think it is because of you, but probably the few mod texturepacks that I am using. Odd though that it would change a vanilla item though.
Also... they changed the link. Doesn't work anymore, so I'll have to send them to you. Oh well. I hope you can do some impressive things with them. http://www.mediafire.com/?so585i13uc1c5xs.
No problem, it can just be a running project for you to work on over time. Azanor isn't upgrading the mod overly fast, so you don't have to worry too much about being outpaced as he would add more and more. And thanks. I am used to holding a large netherwart farm, so the change in them quickly caught my eye.
I do think you need to tune down the red in the growth stage though, it is much too vibrant compared to the harvest stage of Netherwart.
Also, I like your noisier textures. Makes things feel more realistic, personally.
@steelflame oh so you are a potionguy
I will have to check the colors of more textures either way since im not really statisfied myself. I will take care of that tomorrow (basically will fix a lt of stuff that bothers me in the new textures).
Noise also makes the textures more alive and doenst look like the it was made in a friqqin laboratory where the have protective gear to not mae the texture dirty ;D
On servers with my friends I tend to make potions, but it is more because several mods I use have use for Netherwarts (Which you spelled wrong, lol). Thaumcraft 3 goes though at least a stack or two, minimum, to get all the researches from it currently. And what is wrong with that 8 minute Fire Resistance potion... nothing is wrong with me abusing those to find diamonds hidden inside the lava lakes/tunnels deep underground, is there...
I don't like de door and the iron door crack.. then iron door need a small window on it, the wooden door is like someone punch the window or something, if you know what i mean. =)
I can't download the latest update. ='( Help =,0
(Sorry for my bad english, can't spell it well)
I do think your Blaze powder needs some work though. It doesn't really feel.... as though it came from a blaze rod being ground up. Needs to be a deep orange color.
EDIT: your last two updates have not changed the download. Might want to look into that. I want them vines!
@Monsterfisher, thanks for the reworked of the woodendoor but the irondoor isn't working for me. Like, i hate the window, i want more like the "Head/face" window thingy =)
(english is not my first language, sorry for the bad english. I hope you get what i'm saying)
Agree on @Stellflame: your last two updates have not changed the download. Might want to look into that. I want them vines! (I want the new woodendoor and the new note block/juke box!)
thanks it works now

EDIT: Ehh... still no update on the pack. Something says your hosting site is broken.
Yep, worked for me, too.
Really liking this pack, the more I see of it. Very good work, sir!
