Hey! Remember that problem with cobblestone in the extreme hills biome I was talking so much? Considering the fact that it is me who was breaking the silence about this issue, so it it me who must solemnly declare that this problem is finally fixed in last version of the pack. Just in case checked it in few maps of different extent of "freshness". Good job!
Hey guys, I have a problem running the Conquest pack and shaders together.
When I use the Conquest resource pack and run shaders, I get really low fps, like 15-25. When I use any other resource pack, even ones that have a higher resolution, I get 35-55 fps with the same shader pack.
Does someone have any idea why that is?
Edit: I'm playing on 1.8 and using the 1.8 pack
What are your PC specs? Most importantly RAM, memory allocated for java. Also compare your memory usage conquest vs other packs with and without shaders, because my only guess would be that conqest needs more memory. So you have less memory for your shaders and thus get less fps.
You could also try the Conquest of the Sun Shader, maybe that one runs better.
Is there a way to make granite texture actually look like the icon? Personally can't stand the current granite texture as it the actual in game texture isn't the same as the icon. Anyone know how to change this, I don't even see where the current texture is even coming from.
Hey, Monster, I have a little suggestion for a new cobweb metadata. Take a look at the screenshot. These flowers in a basket are really good for interior/outside decoration.
Jamessss, yes, snow layer (block 78) does look like dirt in certain biomes - Plains, SunflowerPlains, Forest, ForestHills. Also, snow looks like sand in the Desert.
What you can do:
- Change your biomes manually with WorldEdit (or even MC Edit... maybe).
or
- You can delete this file: Conquest_\assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\ctm\organic_and_soft_material\dirt\block78.properties
After doing this, snow won't look like dirt in any biome.
or
- You can edit that file (block78.properties) and change biomes in it (if you know how to do it).
The easiest way is the way number 2. The smartest way is the way number 1.
Any fix for the carpets yet in 1.9? I also want to thank you for your amazing work on this pack. The best medieval/fantasy pack by far. John smith ain't got **** on conquest.
Gaeniel, the old stonebrick is still in the pack as a metadata for Silverfish Block. Check out 97:2 and 97:3 and take a look at the screenshot.
Monster has noted that in the 10.3 changelog.
Unterwasser, you're probably talking about the metacycler plugin that allows you to change metadata with the stick. You need to run a bukkit server with that metacycler plugin to do so. By default, WorldEdit can not do that.
Monster, I've seen this new cobble street pattern thing (4:9) in other pack before, and I wanted to suggest you to add that thing into Conquest (since it looks good for medieval streets). But in that pack, they did it with repeat 8x8 method, so they have 64 tiles. You've done it with only 4 (!) tiles, which impresses me. Good job and thanks for your brilliant work!
Quote from monsterfisher
i could make it a biomevariant of the hangingthings however (meat/sacks/herbs)
That would be absolutely good enought, but if you're not sure, then nevermind
Monster, yeah, it's Halcyon Days As you already know, I took the flowerbaskets from that pack. They also have some crazy ideas, like a mix of bricks and stonebricks (it's like keystone).
One more question. I might by terrible wrong, but I think you still have lots of free metadatas for block 125: From 125:6 to 125:15. Am I right? That means you have plenty of space to add 10 more wooden textures in future. Maybe sort of brand new planks or something
Unterwasser, select the support block and remove it with //set 0. I'm usually building the support with red wool, and then just doing //removenear 10 35:14.
Bear in mind that after doing this little trick, you can't update the blocks near the trapdoor or else it will be destroyed. Like, you can't place blocks near the trapdoor by hand.
The guys on fancy servers usually have a special plugin, so they do not have such problems.

use //fast and then replace the block.
//fast prevents block updates caused from commands
afterwards do //fast again to deactivate it again else you might get visual bugs from blocks not updating when you change them
Monster, where do I go to download the updated versions? The link in your first post hasn't changed.
Copy that, thanks, brotherman Happy Holidays!
Thanks for the update and reply. Happy Holidays!
Hey, monster, I thought you'd like to see what I've been building in your texture pack.

About BetterFoliage. I see thatConquest has some textures in it but they dont seem to be correct. Names of files are messed up
And this in the pack from the OP-post
which do i delete leave_spruce or spruce_leave to get rid of the 3D model?
