Yah, I want it too be more golden than savannas are. I changed fog colour and skybox colour with MCP in that biome too.
If you use the fantasy tree addon the birch forest has a different sky and fog colour and also a nice teal-ish grass colour to match the redone birch trees.
I really wanted to make other biomes like the roofed forest biome more unique with grass and sky colours but I want to have this pack so that the experience with or without MCP is basically the same, you just get some extras like skyboxes and better shadows and sunlight, with MCP but the meat of the pack is still the same. Unfortunately since roofed forests share the same spot on the colourmap as normal forests and they get the overlay on them automatically there's not really much I can do if I want to keep that philosophy...
XSSheep I've replied to this forum many times and I love the pack and I want to use it in a lets play, I have just one request and that is can you make a patch that turns apples into oranges and fix the iron golems?
Iron golems are on the way, don't know if I've got the time to make a specific patch though sorry, I'm loaded up with uni so I don't even have much time to work on the iron golems currently either.
hey sheep this isnt too important but i was thinking about the Furnace smelting item animation. it seems a bit off to just see grey cracks moving over an arrow. right when i saw that i thought of an idea. here is your version and my version
your version
now my version
mine doesn't looks too great but im sure you get the idea of what im trying to imply. to take out the arrow if you can and if you are to keep the crack then maby add flames burning through the cracks. i did my best to remove the arrow in the background (but i think it might look better with the arrow still on). i used Gimp. but once again this isn't too big of a deal im fine with whatever you do.

I quite like this idea. I did notice that it was a little hard to tell whether something was nearing completion of smelting or not. Perhaps to have the cracks heat up and turn to a red-ember colour, or to make it glow as if there's a fire behind the cracks would look nice. As of now the cracks look good and all, but they don't make much sense, and it's hard to tell how far something's been smelted.

Hmmm, I'll definitely look into it. I think I agree with you guys though, I'll try some different ideas and see if I can come up with something that's a little clearer.
Maybe a container filling up with liquid metal or something? Not sure...
Hey Sheep, I dunno if you are aware of this little issue with the pumpkin/melon stems?
No I hadn't seen that, thanks for pointing it out!
I'll have a look at it. Might make a separate stalk texture for melons while I'm at it too as that's a possibility now. Still, kinda weird looking glitch, looks almost like the model for it was changed or something!
Another small glitch, the enchanting GUI isn't updated to support the addition of the lapis input slot.
Yea, this should look like cedeel's picture. I updated it a little while ago so you might be using an older version or your own custom version or something.
I'll post some pics of the things I've done while I've been a bit silent btw. I haven't done a huge amount but I have made some more progress! Been pretty busy with uni as it's approaching the end of the year and I've had lots of assignments but that's mostly done for now. Just gotta worry about exams in a few weeks!

*facepalm* sorry, I don't pay attention very well. Somehow I managed to install Pixel Perfection v2.2 nevermind then x3
Should be fixed for the next update, I did fix it a while ago but I guess I didn't upload that version yet. Anyways, for anyone wondering what I'm doing for the next update - it's a couple of mobs and also updating mod support for better foliage.
Why this theader is very unactive? This is absolutely beautiful pack!
Well the downloads are still going pretty strong so I'm going to assume it's because you guys are all busy playing and there aren't too many issues for once!
Also most of the pack is complete now, only really need to work on mobs and mod support.
Speaking of which, thanks to TimothyWiggins127 we're soon going to have a LOT of mod support with this pack! He's done a lot of work on making some textures for about 25 mods so I'll be putting up a link to that shortly. Just going through and adding a couple of missing textures.
Also done some work on the better foliage mod again so there will be some more support for that coming in a little bit too.
As for vanilla stuff, I'm halfway through the witch and the iron golem and I've also redone the pumpkins and melons textures so that they aren't as grainy looking. They fit in a lot better now. Just need to finish off the pumpkin stalk because as cedeel pointed out - there are a couple of issues with it currently for whatever reason.
Anyways, I'll probably have the mod support up very soon with a full list of the supported mods and I'll try to get the next update out which will have the iron golem and witch as well as some fixes to a couple of broken things and a few new textures to boot.

Im not surprised downloads are still going, ive had this texture pack since almost the beginning and i still use it today.

Okay so a bit of news, got the iron golem and the witch done, will post pics a bit later. Also still working on mod support (there's a looooot to get through!) for these mods:
Archimedes Ships Mod
Backpack Mod
Barrels Mod
Better Grass And Leaves
Bibliocraft
Buildcraft
COFH Core
Dynamic Earth
Growthcraft - Bamboo
Growthcraft - Rice
Iron Chests
Luppii's Ladders
Mystcraft
Nether Ores
Project Red
Railcraft
Redstone Arsenal
Secret Rooms Mod
Simply Jetpacks
Thermal Expansion
Weapon Mod
Several Modules from Xtra Blocks:
Xtra Blocks DIY Fencing
Xtra Blocks DIY Metal
Xtra Blocks DIY Powered
Xtra Blocks DIY Xtras
Yet Another Food Mod
A fair amount of it has already been done thanks to TimothyWiggins127 but there's some vanilla textures and gui and I'm checking over all the textures anyways to see I could tweak it a little to make sure it all fits together really well.
So yea, I'll have the mod support out as a separate addon pack in the future (can't exactly say when, it really is a lot of work) but the next PP update will be out really soon now. Got lots of fixes and a few new blocks and random models done alongside the iron golem and witch so it should be a nice little update.

Oh nice, gonna get all the mobs you never did? like the ghast, zombie pigman, etc? Or do you just have the Iron Golem done?
As cool as mod support is, I personally feel like it should really come only after full vanilla support, particularly if the author of the vanilla pack is the one working on them. Many packs have died in the attempt to support mods due to the feeling of the a never-ending workload. Which is a reasonable feeling.
The difference between yourself and these mods is that the mods themselves had an artist to work on the textures for each addition as they came into existence. You, on the other hand, are one artist dealing with many mods and however far along these mods have already been developed. This is quite the undertaking. If you must support them personally, I would start with smaller mods that have a very specific goal in mind. For instance, IronChests is a "complete" mod. There are no known plans for expansion or that sort of thing, and there aren't that many textures to deal with, making it ideal as mod to support fully.
Of course, this is just my opinion. I wish you luck in whatever way you feel like tackling such things. Keep up the awesome work!

I used to maintain the Minecraft Forums Mod List. However, life has stepped in the way of that. Perhaps later...

Thanks, took great care in making sure textures worked well together so it's nice to hear other people noticed too.
