I don't know yet. I want to avoid having it look too tribal, though, and an overdose of bones will have it leaning in that direction. We'll see.
Im pretty sure it wouldn't come off looking tribal if you perhaps added wires, or screws on the bones, rather than using rope or something like that. but if you stick with spines and skulls, that wouldn't seem tribal at all, but perhaps a bit more horror-ish or modern than you're going for. maybe. its hard to tell at this point, but my assessment of the theme so far is... modernish fantasy? it certainly doesn't come off as medieval or victorian as some of your other packs do.
I love the rails! Does random textures work on rails? Because it would be really nice if you could add some random cracks on the rail planks. That one crack could get a tad repetitive.

Maybe that's because it's bright and happy instead of dark and disheveled.
But in all seriousness, I do seem to be having some theme confusion here, much to my vexation. Let's see...
Medieval:
-Doors
-Torch
-fancy ores
-furnace
-carved stone ram
Modernish (or at least less medieval):
-Rails (sorta)
-workbench
-piston
My inspiration was the pokemon games (yeah yeah, laugh it up), and I think of the scenery as being a combination of old-world buildings/lifestyle and modern tech. I don't know if I'm quite pulling it off here, though...we'll see.

Yup, it does. I'm already planning on doing rando textures for the mossy stone brick, since those leaves get repetitive.
Now to actually figure out how to make it work....
I JUST HAD A GREAT IDEA
Make the redstone...
Wait for it...
BONEMEAL.
*like a boss*
That would make it soo awesome!
Redstone Dust: Crushed up redstone, so if your redstone is bones, why not bonemeal?
It's not tribal, and it's not modern. It's fantasy. Just the way we like it.
But then wouldn't people get the redstone bonemeal confused with regular bonemeal? :0
Oops. Well, I replied in my head. And my mental reply was 'the one on the right looks a tad silly to me.' (I was also distracted with posting my finished swords. :P) You're welcome to use your edits if you want to, but I really don't care about the fact that the swords clip steve's hand-- after all, his head clips his shoulders, his arms clip into his body, and if he tilts his head all the way back it looks like he's been guillotined.
Well, how about you make the redstone bonemeal brownish because the bones are soo old? And also have little bones sticking out to show it's not perfect dust.

For redstone I was thinking of having bones amidst a pile of red dust (scraped from the rock while excavating). But thanks for the suggestion. ^^

Drfrozenfire's magical thread may help. If it got me to understand CTM, you can surely use it.
I really adore this texture pack. I found it hiding out in my texture packs yesterday when I downloaded it a long time ago. Since I just finished my last map, I decided to finally make a jungle map exclusively with this pack but... my jungle trees are a bit sad. Is it my bad or is there no texture for the jungle trees yet?

Nope, no jungle log texture yet. Haven't gotten to that one, but it's on my list.

I use white wool for a lot of building things, like that

But-but-- stark white wool hurts my eyes!

On a completely unrelated topic: How did you get 2 images in your signature? Is it a sectional moderator thing or a post count thing?
Probably just some kid. Who cares?
I've already made regular ores. When I finish transferring files to PMC later tonight (or tomorrow) I'll have an alt download with them.
It is indeed a moderator thing. I don't get paid, but I DO get to have as many things in my sig as I want.
Ah, the good life.
*kicks back with pina colada*
Ah, wonderful! Just what I needed.

But that wont happen any time soon.
Also, when can we expect a finished terrain.png? Next month? This month?
I turned down the yellowness a bit. It's not silvery, because I like it being off-white, but it should hopefully look less yellow to you.
In the wise words of my uncle: it'll be done when it gets done. Probably sooner rather than later, though.
