The lush, green, and lively Stump, it glorifies nature and displays a very optimistic and bright terrain that existed millennia before our own. The land is filled with early civilization and traces of a prehistoric society that may far exceed our own.
About RuneStump
The rich, deep, and enigmatic Stump, it depicts a flourishing civilization reminiscent of our own middle ages. The world is filled with wonders yet unknown, as the alchemists and magicians delve into the secrets of protoscience and salvage the world that was before.
About BlightStump
The dying, dry, and polluted Stump, it exemplifies a harsh fate accompanied by a slight Steampunk and Victorian-age design of a post-industrial society gone wrong. The hostile mobs are deadly and infected with new, dangerous diseased brought on by the secrets of the ancestors.
General Info
Concept:
Stylized versions of the packeted, blocky reality presented by vanilla Minecraft such as Jolicraft or Isabella have always been my favorite, although not most often used by me. The Stump series of texture packs are meant to create distinct flavours of pseudorealism that present multiple perspectives on existence and reality.
Aesthetics:
The vanilla textures are far too sharp and cubic for me;some natural imperfections in pattern makes textures much smoother and natural, which is what all the textures associated with Stump try to do. Each texture pack however, has its own style and revolves around a particar mood. Textures are always a work in progress, and perfection can be considered impossible except in the strive for perfection, so feel free to openly criticize and suggest.
Graphics:
Most People don't remember things in high resolution, so making minecraft using higher resolutions won't significantly change the feel of Stump. Custom water however, is used in this pack and requires HD Patcher. Optifine is also recommended for mipmapping and fancy sidegrass.
Donations:
This isnt for money, and donations are too much of a hassle. Adfly is only to pay for the gallons of orange juice and oatmeal I consume when playing minecraft (hopefully my venture will not be a deficit in terms of orange juice).

Please don't blatantly copy my work; try to derive inspiration from it just as I did from others. If you do decide to base some of your texture off of mine or find someone that did, it would be nice if you posted it here so I can try it out. I recieved assistance from the following people:
Duane749- A friend, critic, and mentor.
Cabby- Helped me review my work.
SuperPlatano- Gave me inspiration.
Bobsoccer- Gave me humor.
Noswad- Gave me serenity.
Eval- Gave me humanity.
Bonemouse- Isabella's artist.
Glimmar- Steampunk artist.
Joliceur- Jolicraft's artist.

Looks really good, to bad 97% of the little kids on this forum won't be able to understand a word of what you wrote. I will download this pack, my only tip would be that the zombie, creeper and even the pumpkin look a little to dark.
Please show clearer in-game shots of the pack, also avoid Comic Sans MS, as many despise said font due to its overuse.
I don't know how much clearer the shots could be, the pack itself has rather low contrast, but these shots were last minute shots so I need some more time to build up my display world.

No really, I don't care. My op for Impressions is mostly comic sans. I just had to say it before someone else did. :smile.gif: (oh, darn someone beat me to it)
Anyway. I like how this is coming along. I agree with fixer in that those textures seem to dark compared to the rest of the pack. I look forward to seeing this pack progress.

GREAT texture pack, I simply adore it (oh how fancy I sound), but there is simply on thing. The side grass (dun-dundun-DUN?), it is making me sick. If you ever make a customizer, please include an alt for the side grass.
I've considered redoing it a bit and adding less sidegrass. I'll make a separate version with no sidegrass.
You used one of the textures from my pack for the front of your bookshelf, please remove it.
I'll take that out, sorry for leaving that in there; I used an old .zip. I'll finish editing a few other textures before updating the post, so gimme a few hours. Thanks for being nice about it though.
Omg THIS IS THE BEST TEXTURE PACK IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, <33 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. This Should be the texture pack that new minecrafters start off with. Please Continue with updating it It is Amazing :biggrin.gif:

Wow! BlightStump looks even better! I'm downloading the updated version of both right now. You really did well with these packs. Maybe once you feel up to it, you could put it on here? http://minecraftcustomizer.net/browse

I'm working on it. Rather complicated though.
I finished, but it appears that armor can't be uploaded right now.

I'm looking at your Whalepack too, I love the coloring!
Thanks Sheld, I will :smile.gif:

How so? I modeled the color scheme after a nice, low contrast pack that I remember from the 1.5 days, but the cobble pattern is well... debatable.
