I hope the texture update doesn't totally bog you down, I already made mine compatible and that's as far as I've gotten.. but I'm not sure how to texture the new items being added as.. I'm bad at art. =u=
you can download a tool Dinnerbone released to convert texture packs, not sure how effective it is though. Its near the bottom of this page http://www.minecraft...i/Texture_Packs
Its pretty effective at getting you started, but she will have to add the missing textures since its just for breaking apart the current image, but since she has a bunch of flavors thats where I see annoying shenanigans. OAO

I mean I guess that's still better then nothing. It saves a little bit of time!
It is MUCH better than nothing, but it's still going to be a lot of work. Still, a lot less than it would have been, thank goodness. I got Wolfhound default broken out... I'll need to do the rest and get these staged and ready to go when the update is released for real. Maybe I can work on that Sunday. Tomorrow I'm going out with friends, then on Saturday I'm going to spend working on a painting I need to have done by the end of February, as well as get new glasses. I'm really starting to have trouble - squinting at everything, it feels.
Speaking of awesome downloads... you guys seen this yet Photoshop CS2 - free, legality in question. I use Photoshop to make all my textures, it's a great program.

I have spent all evening writing. *is a bad texture artist* Plus, I'm a bit wary of converting all my textures just yet, kind of want to see the final released version of the incoming patch before I start ripping my texturepacks apart.
I've added this texture pack to the Minecraft Wiki's texture pack list, with a modified version of the defauilt banner. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Texture_Packs/High
I'm not sure if anyone actually uses it though. Just thought I'd tell ya.

Oh sweet, thank you!
Just so you guys know, this is what's been keeping me busy lately. Or, this is part of what's keeping me busy. I don't have photos of the other project, which is a shield.
An entire shield I'm painting fifteen saints on.
But no photos of that yet. I do have this one though. It needs to be done by the end of February. I didn't draw it, I'm just painting it. Painting and gold leaf. To get an idea of scale, I had to stand on a chair to get the entire thing to fit in the photo.
I absolutely adore this texture pack.
It is by far my absolute favorite.
Just a note though; i downloaded it a few times and never got the wither boss's texture so you may have forgotten to include it in the download.
I haven't done the wither yet, because I'm lazy and because I haaaaate texturing mobs. I keep opening the wither's template and then thinking of something else entirely to do instead.
I saw that too, it could turn out to be a good thing if you put your pack on there
How much will the change to textures in the recent snapshot effect your (or any other) texture pack?
I just downloaded it, so we'll see. It's a game-changer though. Going to be a lot of work on my part.

Yes it is waaay better than nothing!
That's great. I'm glad texture pack makers will catch some of a break! I wouldn't really know I don't make textures

Thankies
So I'd have more time to work on Wolfhound, which I enjoy making faaaar more.
Though I haven't had time to work on it recently... it's been really busy lately for me.

I'm a bad person, I know.
