Hey guys! I love Ovo's, I've been using it forever, but I just ran into a problem and I can't figure out whats wrong.
I was doing my usual texture updating- using Photoshop to edit terrain.png and adding mobs, then I started up Minecraft and got this:
The textures sort of shift- if I move a bit the glass with bookshelf-tall-grass changes to green with black dots. I'm not using any mods, and I tried running to latest mcpatcher, but it didn't do anything.
I've never seen this before, anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
Could you maybe upload an alternate of the cave spider without the red skull on it? Other than that I think they're great I'd just like to remind everyone that the spiders will require you to make a black 256X128 .png image in the mobs folder and name it spider_eyes, otherwise they will have bright red square eyes :L EDIT: Derp I typo'd. I meant 'blank' :L
The blinking animations are just animations with optional files to control them. Since MC Patcher allows animations for all textures then yes, Mooshrooms can have eye blinks too. Nice spiders but You're going to have some trouble here if you want glowy eyes. Both spiders use the same eye glow texture so either you rearrange the eyes of one of them or you make an invisible eye glow texture. and while we're talking about your mob textures, I think Mooshrooms should be more than just a cow recolour. Recolours are what Mojang does.
I hope you realise how much you personally are helping out this pack The sheep look amazing! Thanks for removing the red skull of the spider: my preference is without the skull, but if others prefer it that means we have alternates. I havent tested the mooshroom in-game, but i like how its skin looks like a combination of both giant mushrooms (also nice to see eyes reminiscent of the spaced-out default mooshrooms)
I look forward to seeing whatever you make next
big thanks, im trying to finish that pack with you guys, because it's perfect pack!
Thats dependant on the textures. for example: the normal ctm.png supports glass, sandstone and bookcases. You place that in the root of your texture pack along with the terrain.png ECT. for random grass as posted a few pages back, you create a folder called CTM and place it in the root of the texture pack. you then put ovosrandom and all the terrain.properties files into the CTM folder.
Hope this helps.
Where's the terrain.properties files? Also, I have a texture pack I want to make random textures for. How do I do that? I can't find this anywhere else in the internet.

Umm....wtf, mate? *Cue kangaroo with a raised brow*
How about you post up your terrain.png and let us see what happened to it? Can't really tell you what's wrong if we can't see that, there might be something bugged.
Speaking of 'requests' i sort of had one. when you haven't got anything else to do could you touch up the wolf with your art-style? i just feel that the wolf looks great but a little different from the other animals :L
Just a thought- I like the Pigman texture, but right now the Blazes are sort of steampunk style, with wood and metal and lava and stuff. It might be cool to do all the Nether creatures like that. I forget who did that style Blaze, but I really like it.
Also I fixed my problem- I don't know for sure what was wrong, but I found and replaced some corrupted files and had to re-download mcpatcher. It looks great now. Thanks for replies

I would love to see a giant metal and wood, fire spitting ghast
@Apachey: thanks for the wolf, don't like the ghast that much, why is the pigzombie yellow and its skull dark grey? (i havent tried them in-game, so i might be speaking too soon)
@Mutination: could you relink the villager.properties, the link failed for me :S
yeah, you speaking too soon, pink pigzombie isn't that scary, and yellow looks aggressive, i'm ain't gonna change texture of pigzombie, and i'm not gonna be the slave of everybody by listening whim of everybody. I'm listening to things that really matters, and i understand it.

There are plenty that more than appreciate your hard work on the mobs. I feel if people don't like certain mobs you have designed or that others have designed they should just not use them. I personally don't think the ghasts are the right fit for this pack as seeing them in game, But man would they look great in it's own pack. You do really have some talent in your designs and deserve to have that acknowledged. I am more than thankful for your contributions as of late as the mobs were one of the things that needed to be implemented.
I also don't really care for the blaze ("steampunk version") as it is now. Though a great design, It doesn't really tie in well with the landscape of the Nether As you previously stated. I would love to see one of your renditions of the blaze. Keep up the great work.

okay, my ghast is bad and im should feel bad, yeah?
i don't think that nether have to be steampunk, or we have to change textures too? Decide.
