I'm confused. I assumed that "the end is extremely vanilla" would be a version modified to native resolution. However, it was also 32X32. Can someone please explain?
It's vanilla because it's closer to the items that are in the game. The original of this texture pack is very different when it comes to items.
It might just be me being a noob, but I'm having problems. Some of the textures don't seem to be loading correctly and some are just plain old vanilla textures. Such as nether blocks looking like vanilla water, pigmen having solid yellow heads, and zombies with invisible arms and solid pink heads.
When I downloaded the texture pack (The End is Extremely Vanilla v2.00 [1.4.x]) I didn't unpack the rar and just stuck it in my .minecraft texture pack folder, which showed up on my minecrafte title screen, so it seemed I did that part right. Should I have unpacked it and put the contents inside my minecraft .jar?
Please help, this pack is friggin awesome.
Did you use MCPatcher or Optifine? They're essential if you're planning on using a pack of some other resolution than 16x (and even with 16x if you want custom water etc.) so give them a try.
No, I didn't. I'll go dl that and come back if there are any problems, thank you.
I'm not 100% happy with the color of the girders yet... but we'll see how things go. I think they look pretty good against brick and cobblestone, so that's half the battle, really heh...
Might clash with the other metals in the pack, though, and that's a concern.
They are amazing, don't doubt 'em yet. I have such great plans already, so if you update it, it better be 20x better, that is of course, giving the assumption you could do work that doesn't amaze.
Feel like showing me some financial appreciation? Well heck, that's mighty kind of you! I'd accept a simple "Thanks!" and a smile after all ! However, if you wanna drop me some beer money from time to time, please, feel free to do so on this handy-dandy site!
I've received several PMs asking about donating to my little hobby, and well, I never ever planned on that happening, and I'm humbled! Thank you for all your appreciation, folks. It's your love of this artwork that keeps me going from time to time! I never wanna let you down! Thanks so much :D!!
Yeah, looks like I'm gonna hafta put out an iteration version before 1.5 ever sees the light of day. I'll see what I can cobble together here ASAP, folks! The zombie fix is a must!
I absolutely love the concept of this texture pack, but there are mobs and items that have been ignored for several updates. I beg of you Santiago, finish the textures of older things before doing the textures of newer things!
Mobs take a long time to complete, especially the animal mobs. I'll tackle them in time, but aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgh are they a time sink and get boring and tedious to work on after a time.
I should have some time soon to continue work on the pack. Out of town this weekend, but things are coming along nicely otherwise!

Love your pack, it's on my short list of favorites!

Yeah, for whatever reason it got all sorts of garbled on the upload. No idea why. Oh well, I'll re-upload it later at higher quality ;)!
Haha Just Kidding I don't have a 404 Error .
