Hopefully someone else can take over or add the missing textures. I really like this pack.
I was planning on it for quite a while, I'm positive I could get it working for 1.8 textures. I have been modding a bit of textures for 512x512 resolution as well, I have all of the tools done. I really hope he won't mind, because this project is dying for maintenance. =/ He said he doesn't really have the time to do it anymore, so I figured I could take it over. I won't take profit or anything, I just want this to be 1.8. So far it is coming out great.

Probably till middle january 1.9 will be out and if you want to make it ready for 1.8 , i think you should make it ready 1.9 =))

If you only make the missing textures as a separate pack, there should be no problems as all the textures are yours.
If you add them to the original pack, however, then it's copying.

I'm skeptical if he's even going to resume this project or even view this thread again. The textures that I've elevated to 512x512 are also significantly different from the originals. A lot of items I've nearly completely redone, other textures didn't even exist yet, and others have been harshly revamped, so in a sense they're borderline custom.
I've also been adding a bit of a light cell shading to give it more of a vibrant look. I'm not trying to pirate this pack, I just want to bring it back to life and revamp it, not just re-post this guy's pack. He did a phenomenal job with the textures, but he just clearly doesn't have the time to maintain it. That's why I wanted to revamp it and keep it going.

lol no im not a troll ! hahaha im just saying that when i tried to apply the texture it says its not compatible with 1.9 and that is i want to continue, so if you say yes it will work of course but before @robotkoer mention that i should just allow it when it asks for confirmation i was thinking that it would NOT work at all since it is not compatible but it never occur to me to just say YES XD lol

What about the missing textures? There are tons of new mobs, textures etc? So shortly, can you make it work %100 in 1.9 version?
Multiple people have offered to take over the project. Can someone just do it? I really don't want any other texture pack than this and the base textures are terrible.
This texture pack has become the Half Life 3 of Minecraft texture packs. It's easily the best looking ever created, stays true to the vanilla experience while drastically improving the look and feel of Minecraft.......and it's missing everything since 1.8
I still use it. The way Minecraft loads texture packs, I have a couple of packs that load after to compensate for the missing textures. It looks semi goofy, but not terrible.
Hey guys i think i've got a semi solution to our little problem. Download the 256x version of Minecraft Enhanced, then download the 256x version of a pack called Simply Sharp. Simply sharp has the same style, and will fill in everything that Minecraft Enhanced doesnt have. Enjoy
I honestly haven't played Minecraft since this texture pack became obsolete and the solutions provided stopped working with all the new updates. I wish this texture pack could be picked up by someone else and continued. It's so amazing.

It appears to be your pack, but it seems all the download links lead to probable malware.
how to make this work with the actual minecraft 1.9 ? or is there an alternative ? Like this texture a lot but doesnt work the one i have thank you

I still use it, but I have to combine it with other packs that aren't nearly as good for some things.
