just letting you know, there isn't going to be a 1.9, there waiting until the real release. there just gunna keep giving us pre-releases until november
Well, I'm updating it right now and will release soon for 1.9 pre3... but jeb twitted this:
@jeb_Jens Bergensten@jefferlope@R9000DS Yes 1.9 should be out before oct 18th, ie. next week... Not that we've ever missed deadlines before, right? :wink.gif: So I bet 1.9 will be out. :biggrin.gif: Or not... lol... but I'll update it to pre3 soon. Just finishing mobs and gui.
yea, i cant afford PS, i thought most pack artists just used gimp and/or paint.net but im sure alot of people lose this template pack.
but i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a true template for the new chest.pngs' in the item folder, ive been looking all day, how do you people figure this crap out so fast!?!?! lol
It RUNS on Gimp! But without folders... try it. And the chests.png will be out soon.

At today's meeting @notch suggested that should keep doing prereleases all the way to Minecon, so my previous tweet about 1.9 is obsolete :smile.gif:
Why there isn't a normal version without the .psd at the end? cause I don't have the right program :sad.gif:
Because I'm not allowed to post these! The normal .png of minecraft can be found inside minecraft.jar, just extract everything from it and delete all the .class and every folder/file that doesn't contain .png or isn't a .png!
Update! terrain and items are now ready for 1.9 pre-release 4! Also added the .png files!
If any link is broken or isn't updated, tell me! Hope you guys enjoy it!
Also, if anyone make a texture pack using this, please give me some credit and show me your texture pack so I can download it and see what you guys are doing with my templates! :tongue.gif:
Hey, thought I'd let you know I'm using your templates to make my first texture pack! Click here to check it out! Feedback is highly appreciated. C: to you for making these!
I love this idea, and will gratefully use it to make a custom texture-pack for both personal use and for a yet-to-be-completed custom adventure map!
I was wondering, however, if it would be possible to make it compatible with Photoshop Elements, and not just the CS series of PS, if that's the only one it's compatible with. I realize I could just use Gimp or Paint.net, but I'm much more comfortable with PSE, so if this could happen I'd be so much more grateful. (Plus I don't really know how to use those XD)
The reason I request this, is that the layer groups when opened in PSE don't change over well. There is an X-ed out pencil beside the group name, and before anything can be edited, PSE requests that all the layers in the group be simplified into one single layer to work on. It is unfortunate, as I am pretty sure that there are individual layers in the groups, like in the terrain.png or particles.png, as I believe they're called.
Sorry for such a long post, but if you could help, or direct me to a similar template for PSE users, I would be eternally grateful!

i guess we will find out when it gets released ;D
You'll usually find me in the General Off Topic section. Also quote when you reply so I can see!

Not yet... :sad.gif:
You can easily make them invisible on Gimp or Photoshop!
Also, I'm not updating anything until Notch freezes code on minecraft! I can't be so fast, lol! Sorry guys... it'll take a while until I update this.
Then use Paint.Net
why dont you just get the free trial of photoshop?
Yes, you're right... I'm just updating the items.png and terrain.png to pre-release 4 and I'll upload them and add the resized ones to the post.
You may need the PSD plugin for Paint.NET.
Not sure how to skin a mob? Check my mob skin thread.

Yes! I'm creating them as fast as I can, but I want to release it when I finish everything.
