I suggest making it more detailed.
Cause it looks like you just put 1 flat brown color for the dirt.
also one thing i forgot to aqdd, due to 1.8 being released soon, i didnt finish all of it because i know i will end up doing alot more developing after it comes out.
I think it looks really cool. Only thing I might add is that you change flowers so that they aren't see through. Same with sugar cane if you have that added.
Nice! i wish i knew how to make a texture pack because i am a good with making skins and computer art.
to make a texture pack just download paint.net then go into the minecraft.jar
edit all the pictures for example terrain.png
also all the folders at the top, open them then edit the .png files
thats how u make a texture pack

Very simple, isn't it? How long it took you to make this pack? Cause I putted 6 hours and I didn't even finish the first line of the terrain..

it isnt finished yet so it didnt take to long but it took about 15 hours all together :tongue.gif:
(don't even comment about it)

You put no effort into this at all, really. You just made everything one or two colors.
Don't use it's your first as an excuse. See the one in my signature? It's MY first. 20,000+ views and over 500+ downloads on v15.
Next time, TRY. We have too many smooth packs like this.

as i said before, 1.8 is coming soon so i didn't finish adding all the texture just in case i have to make any really big changes.
I'll admit yes your texture pack is better with more effort, but honestly if your texture pack is that good, people will comment and bring it back up
Sadly, they often don't. Many folk only view the first several pages of a forum. Super popular texture packs that have been around a while are bumped because people know how to find them if they fall off the first few pages. But packs that haven't been around long enough to build up a following often fall into obscurity before people even see them. At that point, the artist either has to bump his own thread (frowned upon) or needs to advertise his pack in other ways.
So many potentially awesome packs are discontinued because "Simple Pack reiteration #732" or "Doku Remix #1034" bump them off the first page and into obscurity. The artist loses heart when he mistakenly believes his work isn't good enough for people to be interested in.
I just don't see the point to repeating the same basic design over and over and over again. There are tons of "simple" packs, most of which are rehashes of the same basic theme (the default texture pack reduced to flat areas of color).
Simple packs such as yours aren't bad, but they ARE redundant.
You can make a simple pack that is not boring as hell due to repetition; people have done it and continue to do it. But if you don't provide anything new, your pack will be forgotten and worse... it will likely take a unique pack down with it.
Don't you want people to see your pack in a screenshot and think to themselves "Hey, that's Gregorius' pack; I'd recognize his style anywhere."? Or would you rather people see your work in a screenshot and not even notice, because 50 million people have already done the same thing?

But it's good for a first pack, I love the armour icons btw. I'm more of a fan of realistic packs though, so i won't be using this :tongue.gif:
