With that in mind, I set about to redesigning all the graphics in the same theme as he originally used without actually using any of his graphics. After a day of graphics work in GIMP I had managed to recreate something similar in the same general style (although changing the style of some items I didn't personally care for, like wool)
With that being said this is release 0.10 and it contains a fair number of blocks but no items and such, but it does have the majority of the heavily used common blocks complete. I've not yet started on items and gui and such.

Special Thanks
Dr Higgle Tiggle - Awesome original idea and design, and if you happen to read this permission to use your textures would be wonderful and save me an crapload of time and likely make the pack look better.
TLively - If I hadn't found his post when he attempted to update the pack and found out that you can't reuse someones graphics if they abandon a pack, I'd have just updated the existing pack to work with the current release and then would have lost the time put into it. If you're interested in helping with a new version of the pack drop me a line!
TheMirror - For setting me straight when I was pounding my head into the floor because my grass was screwed up and I was overlooking the fancy grass texture (we won't discuss how long I looked for that and kept overlooking it), check out their Awesome Soul Eater texture pack!
Updated a bit with more blocks and items. Not thrilled with some others look pretty good. Will update screens a bit later and filter in my next set of updates as well, likely the 1.8 changes too.
Thanks so much for making this! Now I can use this awesome texture again.
Also, how do you install on a Mac? I dragged folder to /Library/Application Support/Minecraft/texturepacks but when I click the Mods and Texture Packs button in MC it doesn't appear.

Nevermind, figured it out. You need to use the zip file, not the folder (on a mac).
I love all of it except the bricks are too red for me and I don't really like the glass. Other than that, superb job!
The original Cube Craft by Dr Higgle Tiggle was a fun and pretty fair looking texture pack. Unfortunately the Dr disappeared from the Minecraft world never to be seen or to authorize someone else to use his graphics to continue the pack.

Thanks! I just released 0.3 and added the default versions of the 1.8.1 textures so that it wouldn't look like horrible untextured tinted flat blocks all over the place. I'm hoping to get some time sunday night to update a few dozen textures, the vines I gotta think about a little bit, could be trixie.
... and v0.5 out. Added some of the 1.8.1 graphics in the style of skin and fixed a bug with v0.4 where I screwed up birch tree graphic with a bit of the wood graphic i was moving around for the bed. Whoops.
This is awesome man, I'm glad someone is finally rebooting it. I used CubeCraft in it's very first stages, and I even helped implement some of the brick and sandstone textures into the final versions. I'll definitely be using this, as I really miss the old pack and Dr. Higgle. (Who was actually only like a 13 year old or something from what I remember)
I'll also try and support the pack on the way and maybe help with additions or changes to see if you like them.
This is awesome! I love how you kept the pack going. This is my favorite pack ever. But are you ever going to get to texturing all the items? In the picture it looks like you didn't texture the signs, dispensers, repeaters and stuff. Other than that, it's great. :]

I've been really busy (like 10-16h days at work busy) and just haven't had a lot of time to spend putting time into getting this up to speed, but this does include all the new graphics so it works with minecraft 1.0 now. I do have some time off this weekend coming up (maybe... being on-call sucks), so I'm hoping to get time to skin a few of the new items and touch on items like signs as well.

Derpy Hooves is amazing in every way <3
Your forum name is hilarious and disturbing.
on topic: This pack is decent.
