Remember that glass is either transparent or opaque, there is no partial transparency.
Oops, made me realize that I used the wrong word, and yea, I didn't think you could do that...either way, I stand by my statement of saying it would look funny...if you could... : D
The sand still looks off to me compared to other textures. I suppose it could use more...variation...in the color. (not really sure how to say what I'm thinking) Other than that, amazing texture pack. Very impressive, I'll be sure to download it regardless.
This is honestly probably just my OCD going nuts over non-existent things.
Just finishes re-texturing cobblestone and mossy cobblestone, what do you all think?
Hmm, well your problem is that large cobble block. It stands out from the others so it makes the texture loose some of its seamless-ness, try making them all the same size?

I'm a Java programmer, and I'm a terrible artist. Anything else, just ask me.

I noticed that as well during the process of making it, at first I was going crazy trying to fix it and only ended up making it worse, I then decided it wasn't THAT bad a fault in my elimination of the grid so I left it...if more people begin to notice and make comments about it...I probably will try to make something work. :smile.gif:
Jivix I'm not sure but I dont think it's possible for any textures to be semi-transparent atm
EDIT: ignore the above as i didn't see the page 2. Anyway the new wood and doors look amazing, and the sand/grass looks fine to me
That's odd, I could swear I was using partially transparent textures in my pack. Everything is .png is it not? How do mods like the Aether mod make partially transparent cloud blocks then? They must be using some other rendering technique or something... *mind blown*
I love the way how the dirt is so smooth. Although the top grass is pretty noisy to match the smooth side grass. The stone, ores, and gravel look good! The glass should be lessened up in my opinion. The best glass is one with a border or one with a diamond pattern such as John Smith. That is seeing it through my eyes, though. Like said before, the mossy cobblestone needs more definition. I think this pack can go somewhere and I will bookmark it to come back later!

I could very well be wrong, but I thought I heard a texture pack maker say before that they couldn't do that. Perhaps it was just the software they were using, however I dont think any default textures can be semi-transparent. I did hear that some of the aether blocks and armor were just color overlays (to save sprites or something) and perhaps you can do clouds in that way. Completely speculative though
Okay, I'm going to finish up wool, which took a lot longer than I thought it would...hardest texture so far! After that is done I will release a download...sound fair to everyone? :3
Sounds good to me Pokuh. One of my problems with vanilla minecraft + most other texture packs is that the grass on the sides of blocks don't smoothly transition into the dirt. Painterly tried to get around this by letting you choose the length of grass on the blocks' side, but it made the grass look sort of odd.
I think it's nice that on your texture the grass just sort of disappears into the soft dirt texture. Looking forward to trying this guy out for a fresh view on 'craft.
Completely retexturing everything! I wasn't happy with the way everything blended together...some things will stay the same, like the grass, stone and sand. Everything else will probably change.

Darker sand next to dirt/grass for comparison.
I retextured wood for the millionth time, and finally finished doors...feedback?

Finished ladders...unsure about these...
