Woohoo! Ok, before, I just deleted the bin folder, but today I had major issues with MC Forge, so I decided to just dump my .mincraft folder completely, and start from scratch.
So:
Already had Save folder backed up from before
deleted .minecraft folder
Ran original MC Launcher to re-install game
exited launcher and ran MC Patcher
Exited MC Patcher and launched MC
Reinstalled texture packs
Opened my World
JOY!!!!!
I have pretty glass and gorgeous skies, and also blue water

Congratulations. In the future though, you don't need to delete the whole .minecraft folder. The bin and mods folders are the only two things that could cause problems, I think.
When I downloaded the MC Forge Universal file I ended up with a ----ton of spyware from the installer. I wasn't sure what had been put in there. There were 3 seperate DLs for the thing and all of them have different amounts of files. The instructions on the site did not match what was in the initial DL, so I just decided better safe than sorry. I still don't know what to install, but I won't be touching that .exe again.
Manual installs are so much easier than you think, but yeah.. I've not got a clue why your glass is messed up but I've had other problems with 1.5.2 Optifine so I think it's that. I won't bother downgrading to find out, I'll just cope or wait until Optifine is updated. The glass thing isn't so bad, I was just wondering if you knew why it was doing that.
And I manually installed Optifine, it was reinstalled plenty of times (no problems anywhere else, just glass in your pack).
I dont know why this pack is so much more popular on PMC than it is here?
Brilliant pack btw!
Because PMC advertises my pack in a way. It's featured on the first page of texture packs when one searches 'popular' packs. So people come across it often. The more views and downloads something has on PMC, the more likely it is to be seen. But here on the forums things are found only by those who are looking for them. The popularity of it here is a better measure of how prolific it is in the MC community as a whole.
Hey Tobi, some of my viewers requested your pack, so I did a video on your work. I posted a message on PMC but haven't heard from you. I want you to check it out.
Hey, really like the pack, just installed it again after some time with the default.
Love the wood <3
Only one issue. The biome borders of the grass (i mean the color difference) isnt smoothed out. It looks like the biome abruptly changes.
Thanks, glad you like it.
That abrupt change at biome borders is a compromise I chose. Usually grass, leaves, and other vegetation are just greyscale images in texture packs and are colored in-game by a color map - the game reads this other file, and through that determines what color the grass block will be.
But I chose to do the opposite: I made the color map greyscale and colored the grass texture myself. Now the grass isn't being colored by the game. This has two effects: the downside is that biome borders are more obvious because the color map isn't doing it's usual blending effect, and the upside is that I can make the grass many different colors if I want to.
For example, I could add brown mud puddles here and there in the swamp biome, or a maybe a few yellow flowers in the grass in the plains biome, or maybe some scattered rocks in the grass in the mountain biome. Normally, these little extra details would all have a greenish tinge because the color map would be interfering with their color.
Of course, I haven't gotten around to adding these little features yet. They will be part of the rolling biomes revamp I'm going to do for the next few updates, a couple biomes per update.

Are you gonna add extra random textures to it? <3 all the random textures on your pack.
Btw, i saw on one of your streams that you have a big texture sheet of all the stone textures you made, is it possible that i could maybe get an image of that? I won't use the textures for other purposes than private use.
I can understand if you don't want to give out the image publicly
Yeah I plan on doing more random textures. Here's ALL of my texture resources. I hope you can open .psd files. In the first folder is where most of my backup sheets are, like Textures 32x32, Stones, Flora, etc. The '0ld Method' folder is the previous pack format from before 1.5, and the other folders are all duplicate stuff from my actual pack. I edit from these folders and then toss the final saved .pngs into the pack zip. But I included them as well because many of them contain .psd files which have layers of textures that may or may not be in the other texture sheets.
So there ya go. Good luck sorting through that texture dump. Hell, even I can't find what I'm looking for in it sometimes.
this texture pack is by far the best: realistic enough for full immersion similar enough to the default that the custom blocks from my other mods don't look like complete and total excrement thank you.
I have a question though: I know you said you're working on this but I was wondering if there was a quick fix I could run to make glass visible with optifine (I'm running enough mods that I have no choice)
thank you
edit: I wanted to add that water turns up grey on rei's minimap (not a big deal but just unnerving enough)
that I think I should pass it on
I love this texture pack, I've taken some amazing screenshots of the sunsets and I'm planning on doing a time-lapse. The skies are just... wow. Thank you for this, truly inspirational. Big ups on the video too, great quality.
Any information on when it's going to be finished? I love this pack so much.
EDIT: Doing some feature builds with it, and I noticed you already had a sunset, so I created a 'flowing garden' for my server, thought you could use the picture?

I take it this still requires mcpatcher or whatever or optifine to work? Or was that fixed?
It's not broken. Vanilla Minecraft may support higher resolutions, but it doesn't have support for skyboxes, connected textures, and much more.
I must say, I am liking the most recent update from what I've seen, but some textures lack depth in comparison to others, and the ores don't particularly stand out.

so here take this
I'll try to do that next update(v31), along with a full nether revamp - netherrack, netherbrick, soulsand, and glowstone.
v30 is coming today, just finalizing it, making sure I didn't miss anything.
Thanks for your patience.

Yep.
Pas de probleme. I hope I can make the coming extra grass details worth the unsightly biome borders.
