Hey, Just wanted to say This is the best texture pack I have ever found =) I really just LOVE the design, and the super high quality. I have been using it for a while, but I just now decided to join the forums so I could say how much I really enjoy it. It just fits so well with Minecraft's atmosphere. And the pentagon motif gives it a really nice, unified feel.
There was also one random little thing on the first post that I wanted to mention -- "Features of Last Version" makes it seem like you're talking about the *previous* version, like, the one before the most current version. If that's not what you mean (which I would assume), I think you should change it to "Features of Current Version" or something of the like. It's not a big problem, just thought I'd let you know, as it confused me for a while =)
Thank you! English is not my mother tongue so I like that someone correct my english. :wink.gif:
It's your computer that lag, not the texture pack, lower your render distance and change your graphics to fast, and switch to 32x32, or 16x16, don't complain about how slow your computer or internet is.
I had trouble differentiating between stone and gravel. The color is not too different, especially in a dark place. The shapes are more jaggy in gravel, but it's similar enough to fool me most of the time. I halved the dimensions of the texture. Now there are four copies of the original image per square meter. Here is the result: http://imgur.com/a/FiCx7 . This is using the 64x64 pack.
i applied the 512x version with the aether again and get only 1fps, without aether i get 100fps with the 512x pack. even when givin java 4gb. is there a reason for this? how did you run it in 512x with aether? i'm downloading the 256x version to try that. i dont get this problem at all when using 128x version. please help with any ideas.
edit : i get same problem with 256x pack. like i said i can run the 512x version at 100fps without aether, add aether and it goes to 1fps.
Iron ore isn't grey in real life.. It's copper colored because it's oxidized while in the ground. It's only after being processed that it becomes grey. Actually, iron isn't even an ore, in real life. Iron is inside of other things, and has to be processed to separate the iron from the rest of the elements. Only pure iron is grey, and so it wouldn't be grey before being smelted.
I'd like to request support for the Apothecarium mod. :smile.gif: Although I can probably piece together some textures myself, from textures already existing in your pack. Some, though. Not all. XD
Sorry it's the same shot! It's where I was at at the time and was trying something real quick while I had the chance.
Was trying to get a sunset/moonrise in the same shot; but the changing colors of the sky messes up the photomerge in photoshop. So here is just a sunset picture to go with the previous shot. :tongue.gif: Kinda over contrasted but it'll do.
this is the most cartoonyist texture pack ive seen
There's many, many ways to make it. Anything that can make a .png image and supports transparency. That said, I believe Sphax uses Adobe Photoshop? Or Illustrator, it's vector based. A good free alternative for vector graphics is Inkscape.. You will still need GIMP or another image editor to group the images together in terrain.png, etc.
The only thing that will suck will be not using this pack once 1.8 comes out
Hopefully it will be updated fast!
I hope, I'll be able to release a version for MC1.8 in the same week of the release (like what I did for MC1.7 - I've released my pack the day after the release). :wink.gif:

Your picture shows dirt and sand... not gravel...

I'm downloading the 128x version as we speak. Which link were you using?
