Those are great!
I never thought of it before, but if the pack had sounds to go with it, they should probably be inspired by similar things as the textures were. So dark medieval sounds, i.e. Dark Souls, Skyrim, The Witcher; realistic and moody.
That's some server side magic the Mythros guys are doing. It's a 64x64 texture, but displays at the same resolution as the 32x32 ones, so they appear twice as large. We're also going to have 48x48 weapons, so there will be small, medium, and large weapons. For example: Daggers = Small, Swords = Medium, Greatswords = Large.
I'll see if I'm aloud to post a few spoiler images of weapons later.
What's the status in terms of completion/ what needs to be done still, XSSheep?. (For 1.6, and is there any thought of a 1.7 update?)
As the last snapshot modified the witches as a halloween feature, I think the 1.7 is around the corner, with no release date announced to prevent rants if it's delayed. Assuming that, I don't think the 1.6 will make it before the next update.
And about a 1.7 version, by the time it takes right now, and the new textures added (Colored glass, flowers, fishes...), we won't see it before monthes !
That being said, I'm a huge fan of the pack, and I'm thankful to everyone contributing to it, and Levaunt finding time to overlook everything, but I had to learn how to play without it, while still keeping a hoping eye on this thread...

Still need to do EVERYTHING for 1.7... I have a charcoal texture as well as a half finished new stained clay texture somewhere that needs finishing off too although it looks waaaaay better than my previous attempt so far. Apart from the charcoal texture and horse stuff, everything for 1.6 is already done (albeit with a dodgy stained clay texture till I finish the new one).
I've just been super busy with uni recently so I've barely even had time to work on my own pack. Still gotta finish a few double tall plant textures as well as sand, new glass and podzol for my pack, then there are all the 1.7 textures for this pack too so I have no idea when I'll be able to get around to doing them.
Thank you to everyone who is keeping this magnificent resourcepack working.
I have been using it as my texture pack since 1.4.7
I did prefer the 1.4.7 glass, I think perhaps because I prefer "more glass" and less "framing".
I have made a very simple wood/iron frame glass texture with ctm.
The colours used are taken directly from Levaunts double chest png.
It is complete and I am fairly happy with how it fits although I think maybe I would reduce the size of the iron connections between the non-corner pieces if I was motivated to change it.
At least it could act as a decent placeholder for those who prefer more "open" glasswork perhaps.
Here are some 32x examples
Glass Pane
Glass Block
Glass End Piece
Glass Corner
Here are a couple of screenshots from inside my underwater farm glass dome:

Sorry if screencap sizes and/or FOV annoy you, I have a dual 5:4 ratio screen setup and I'm comfortable with the settings seen here.
Mipmapping was switched on but not anti-aliasing.
I am not sure of the best way to get all the textures to you if you feel they could be a useful addition.
Also it would be very easy to replace the wooden "studs" seen in the middle of blocks here, with small simple red / green / blue gems or such.
Okay I gave the sunflower a shot, looks pretty good ingame too
I love it. The only problem is that its exactly the same shape as the one dokucraft uses. In fact it is the one dokucraft uses, just edited and pixel-itized (is there a word for this?)
I've been working to cleanup my glass and add more intricate wrought-ironwork to bring it towards more of a compromise between the old glass and the new glass.
Glass Block
Glass End Piece
Glass Middle Piece
Glass Corner
I've been reworking the iron corners to appear more detailed, have tried to make the "lighting" of the wood more effective and am reducing the amount of iron between non-true-corner joins.

Hopefully this is a better compromise between the old and new glass, and is starting to approach a standard that you could use
I will probably complete this "new-style" glass for my own use and would be happy to keep you updated if you feel it might be a worthwhile addition.
I've been through and given each image a once-over after a sleep, changed a few ironwork pixels here and there, checked again and edited a few images, checked again and changed 50.png 3 or 4 times, heh.
I don't think there are any pixels left that jump out and shout "I'm a little bit wrong" so I'm calling this glass as final now.
No point in any more pics, they were very minor pixel changes.
I really love Derivation and from the first time I used it, it was clear, I'm never gonna use another pack. But now, it kinda looks like I have to with all the minecraft updates and the slow progression of the community help. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming you guys, it's great you're supporting our beloved Derivation pack and I will check this thread and hoping to see you catching up one day
Anyway, what I really love about Derivation are the variations in the block textures, you know, the seemless textures which making the look less repetetive (not sure how you call this kinda textures). Do you guys know any other Resource Packs which also have these continous textures?

Yes please!
Anything from 1.7 is most important right now unless you feel like digging into the horses...

Yeah... maybe not on the horses.
But I'll see about the other 1.7 stuff.
Felt inspired. Drank a lot of coffee and did an all-nighter.
Some random samples:
This glass is now at the stage where I can't do much else to it.

Thanks again for the beautiful resource pack, just let me know if there is interest in this glass, and how best to get it to you.
Cheers
