Okay, I switched packs, deleted all the Derivation files, reloaded minecraft to make sure I was on default and installed again.Same thing, so I unzipped it into a folder instead and it all works fine now. I knew it was nothing wrong with the pack, just something I was doing wrong, and it seems like that was the issue.
I really like it so far. However the one thing I don't like is how the spruce planks are vertical. They look quite funny on a house. I think they'd look better horizontal but it's not my call. Thanks for all the hard work!
Could please change the Spruce Textures back? ^^ They look awfull! Every building that contains them just looks *** now ! But the other blocks are awesome, good work ^^
They'll be changing to horizontal and the metal bands will only be at the ends. You guys could give it a go if you want (just find a guide on CTM, the textures are already there). If not, you're going to have to wait for a little bit because I've currently just started the next semester of uni again so I'll be a little busy until I get used to the new schedule and classes.
Oh yea, levaunt, could you add me to the doc? I'll use [email protected] for the email. (don't ask, it's old... )
Thanks, I put myself down for the spruce planks CTM and charcoal item. Will get to them when I get back into the flow of uni (although I do get most of thursdays+all friday and weekends off so I'll have some time then hopefully)
Also, just checked jeb's twitter, looks like we have at least one new block incoming. It's called 'podzol' and looks like a sort of tundra/boreal forest grass texture type thing. Sort of like the clumpy, mossy yellowish grass near whiterun in skyrim for whoever has played it.
Silence for almost 2 weeks now.. its so sad to see however good news(ish) is that my current job will be coming to an end soon so beyond school and streaming I'll have some time to texture again (HOOZAH) What plans do I have for my texturing return? I plan on texturing a large amount of the Ultra Hard Survival modpack mods Starting with finishing up Biome's o' Plenty support!

Well the update for my pack that I've been spending most of my non-uni time is hopefully going up tomorrow so I'll have some time to concentrate on this as well. Will get the ctm stuff and a charcoal texture sorted as soon as I can!

Nice, the update looks nice, good job.
Hey Levaunt, think you could make a Scythe tool? Something I could work with to make the various scythes in biome's o' plenty would help a lot.
Had some fun with the Mixer Brush in Photoshop today, thought I'd share the results. The tiles are 512x.
Some close-ups for details.
I love all of it, but the grass. Grass is the only thing that doesnt feel right. Everything else is spot on! DId you go over it or are these 100% original?
Started with the smudge version of the Mixer Brush, then I went over and added more detail/strokes with the Mixer Brush Bristle. Kinda like the harsh stokes you get from the Bristle brush, you can see them if you click on the images and go full screen.
Hey, all. I just wanted to thank the folks continuing this and all their supporters for helping keep this going. It's my favorite texture pack, to the point where I have trouble getting into the game without it. I wish I were good enough at art to offer to help out. The best I can do is cheer you folks on. Thank you.
I like the new spruce planks, I like the old ones better for hardwood flooring but the new ones let me do things like this:
I dig the iron bar accents. Maybe I'd tweak them to be a little less frequent, but they add to the dungeony-ness of some of the other textures. Again I love this pack thank you guys for all your hard work!!

Is there no version for 1.6 available for download yet? I realize this is a work in progress but is there some place I can go to download the beta version of 1.6?

Ok, sorry that took longer than I was expecting! Also found out the lead knot wasn't done so I've completed that too. While recolouring the last of the stained clays I've also decided I'm really not a fan of my texture for it so I'm going to be redoing that some stage soon. Probably when the next snapshot is released so I can test it in that new stained clay biome. Better grass and leaves mod support comes first though because it's an awesome mod and everyone should use it.
All you had to do was go back 2 pages and look. This is an extremely WIP 1.6.2 version of the pack and there will be things changing as people have time (and inspiration) to complete them. Now that Sheep has gotten his update to Pixel Perfection out he will probably focus a bit more on things for Derivation.
Also bad news from me Seems my new classes (despite my job being down to 16 hours a week or less now) is going to take up a lot more of my time than expected. So any/all work I do for mod support will be very very slow. (Also doesn't help that I'm low on inspiration ATM)
The problem with the villagers is that they have a huge head. Because of that, the player helmets simply don't fit on their head.
True but it doesn't seem to occur with all packs that's the problem. Why is it for instance working fine with Dokucraft TSC but not Derivation?

With some helmet designs, it's less obvious. The problem is there all the time, though.

Diamond sword, didn't bother to clean it up. So no in-game pics.

Please take the time to read the last 5-10 pages. Thanks.
