I want the quartz to match pretty closely to other blocks, so right now it's using the same color as stone slabs. However I may either brighten both of those, or match the quartz to the white stone I used with furnaces and pistons. Or both I suppose!
Thanks! I should note that I have yet to test any of these in-game, so they are subject to change. The hopper is fairly simple because of the way the game draws the texture on.
I don't like the dropper moustache. That is literally my only criticism. It just seems so plain and indistinguishable in comparison to the dispenser's one. It's a great texture, and such a small complaint, but I thought it best to give feedback.
Again, I love these new textures. Great job as always Levaunt.

I think it looks fine... It's more geometric just like the hole in the default texture. Oh, and Lev. What kind of Motherboard did you end up buying?

That was mostly intentional, so that it is easier to tell them apart at a glance. The Dispenser face is very organic and swirly, whereas the dropper is more geometric with straight lines.
Is your pc just refusing to even boot up, or just turning off at random intervals?

Out of curiosity, will you be releasing a single terrain.png alongside the new format? You previously expressed desire to continue working on the textures in the current sheet format and then splitting them.
Also, I'm sure people would be willing to spare a few bucks to help you out, myself included. It's surprising you haven't included a donate button earlier considering you don't use any ad links.
Would there be an actual benefit to having a single terrain version? The only reason I could think is people playing with an old version of minecraft, but then they wouldn't need the new textures, they could just use an old version of the pack.
The reason I want to work on a single terrain is because I can easily see how textures look together, and also do mass changes easier.
Would you consider supporting the Twilight Forest mod? Has a lot of textures and the mod would look great with this pack.
It does seem like a cool mod, however right now I'm focusing on the default textures. A fan of the pack might take up the cause though, if not I may eventually get to it.
It is a huge pity redstone is remaining as archaic as it is. As someone who has been spoiled by playing with redpower, I know I can't expect wiring and such... but I wish Jeb and Dinnerbone would take some hints from what it does right. Instead of having to create elaborate layouts for various circuitry, you should just be able to build switches to handle functions like NOR and so on. As well as some easy way to create vertical transmission(in redpower they have jacketed wire, which resembles a pillar of stone, but carries redstone signal up it). They're even reluctant to fix bugs because they're scared of breaking designs people have created that exploit bugs . I was disappointed playing with the new light sensors and I still couldn't make an appealing lamp post that turns on at night. At least it seems like the latest updates are somewhat heading in a new direction... but I'm off-topic.
Sorry to hear about your computer issues. I can't imagine you had an old enough CPU that it's already hard to find a mobo that accepts it O.o Do you mind posting what model it is?

Mod support for DustyCraft?
(just kidding.)
On topic: I really like the Daylight Sensor and Quartz pillar texture. I see that you're trying to make it blend the Quartz better with the other stone textures, would you be willing to tie in Stone Bricks in a similar manner? As it is currently I find it hard to blend Stone Bricks in with other stone materials (except for smooth stone, since it's obviously not meant as a building material in this pack.)

I can't even touch redstone. Whenever I try to do anything that sounds simple, I make a mess of it.
I may have been able to find a board that supported it, but opted for new stuff for a few reasons. The big one is, I couldn't be 100% sure which one of my cpu and mobo was broken, so I played it safe and got new ones. I also wanted to come out ahead of this and get an upgrade at least, and my old CPU was socket 1366 which Intel discontinued.
Anyway, on topic, I agree it would be nice to have a donate button, or even an adfly link so who wants to support can do in a very tangible manner.
I'll never do an adfly, I find them obnoxious. Plus if only one person donated $5.00 that would equate to 10,000 adfly downloads. So this way you guys don't have to go through the adfly wait button.

I find the stone bricks go really well with sandstone and wood. However I have been thinking of brightening them up just a bit to go better with cobble. Not too much though, as I like having some variety.
Hey Levaunt, I started playing BTW again with Derivation (the guy who makes it updated it to pretty much the latest version)
And I found lots of faces in the stone when I was mining.
Good job! Made me giggle a bit.
Yes, I'm looking forward to adding some more rarely occurring blocks. I think I need to make the ones I have now a little more rare though.
Update on the PC stuff. I got my package today and installed everything, and I got it to POST! However it looks like I need to reformat before I can get to my desktop. So I need to boot to a linux disc and copy some files off my HD before I can clear it. With any luck I'll be up and running finally by tomorrow.
Sorry double posting, but my interview with the guys who did the awesome hour long review of my pack is up! You get to hear my soothing (?) voice.
JUST finished watching.
Yep. Your voice was so soothing my body melted and become a flower and then I took over the remote Galaxy SRKSAHF-254 with my minions of pure poop. I tried to smell sounds but suddenly the interview was over and I was teleported back to earth.
This texture is just amazing! I think, however, that these faces you do in blocks like gold, chiseled stone bricks, iron doors and dispensers could be elsewhere, like iron, diamond and emerald blocks. They are really awesome! And I think you could use a more clean logo, like the one you did which I use in the signature, along with a better Valknut symbol, such as this one (re sized):
Just suggestions, though. I really appreciate your work.
I would have done something like this:
Thats what I was thinking.

It turns on but it doesn't POST or beep. Since they don't make motherboards that support my CPU socket anymore I have decided to get a new mobo and CPU. Likely going to be these:

I might be adding a donate to the OP sometime soon for anyone wishing to help out.

Love the daylight sensor too, kinda a pity you can't put them in walls or something, I think they would make great decoration blocks like that.

That's nothing haha. I dropped 1.4k on a whole new build a couple weeks back. Sooo worth the performance.

That would be quite cool. I could just make a painting with a similar design instead. Hmmm...

Yeah I found 2 diamonds in that cave and like 9 heads in the stone.
What about replacing the "Window Painting" ?
Nooo!
Not my window
I love that.
