***Please See the change.log below for a list of updates.(Not up to date until texture pack is out of alpha) fixed the download link for the alpha version. WHOOPS!
I've listed all of my inspiration below. I highly recommend that you download and checkout their work before mine, esp. Ovo's.
Everything here is based off the CC-SA-3.0 license. Please go here, http://creativecommo...nses/by-sa/3.0/, to read the non-legal version. It's short and to the point.
**There are nine three new fonts. If you don't like the one I've set to default, you will need to manually change that by following these instructions:(back to the misa font until i finish the one i'm working on. It'll be worth the wait, i promise)
Unzip the texture pack
Browse to the font folder.
delete the default.png
Find the font you want to try and make a COPY of it, and rename it to default.png
Back out of the font folder
Reopen my texture pack.zip file
Drag the font folder into the folder listing of the texture pack.zip
close your windows
Run minecraft
Be happy
If not happy, start back at the beginning of these steps.
Still not happy, drink some beer ... liquore ... koolaide!
Okay go away now, I can't help you
Stop reading this, it's no longer helpful
FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
If you want the font names in a TTF file, i left the actual font name as part of the PNG file. You can download the fonts from this website: http://www.dafont.com/
If you've already been here, read and looked at everything below here and just want to down load the damn texture pack..... well CLICK HERE!!!
My main reason for wanting to post this was to thank all the brilliant authors that have created all the textures by scratch or heavily modified existing textures exemplify their awesomeness! Thanks to all of you, since it was your work that allowed me to modify and create my own texture pack.
Recognition to the real artists here:
Ovocean - Ovo's Rustic pack - The theme i'm basing the whole pack on.
Grugsy - G's 64x pack - Second theme that some items are based on.
Scuttles - LB Photo Realism - **Items were removed from compilation
Alree - Minecraft 4kids - ** based bed and fishing pole from this theme.
This is getting too addicting!!! I think i'm having more fun trying to create and modify the terrain than I am playing the game. Then again, I've barely played since I started doing this! I think I'm a good point now to stop and play for a bit before starting up again! :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:
Damn, that looks great, although too bad you can't post download link... Yet
Thank you! Hopefully sometime soon I will get all the okay's to post a link. I'll also work on doing a video so you can see how it really compares in game.
I hate remixes, since they dont bring anything new..
Some of the items are new and/or are so heavily modified that they look like nothing of the original. I can totally understand where you're coming from too, and so some of the major blocks that i've used are just slight color modifications to satisfy my tastes which is all that I was attempting to accomplish.
Sorry to have disappointed you though. :sad.gif: I really wanted to put this up here to show the original authors my gratitude and my modified version of their work.
looks pretty good.. thanks for asking before posting the d/l. I decided to answer here in the thread so nobody can hassle you, so yeah.. you can use textures from my pack. one suggestion though, make the color of the tnt match the other wood :smile.gif:

Thanks Grugsy! Oh and ya, i guess some parts are still a WIP. :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:
So Before heavily getting into this modification of textures, I played around with your pack an GLSL shaders but the stone in the new version was popping out at me like a mini pixelated ant hill (where it wasn't doing that on your video) and the version before that seemed to have no "3D" effect. So i gave up and decided to just try and make a really good pack of textures that my own eyes liked. I'm sure this is how it started for everyone.
I did get the normalmap plugin for gimp, and attempted once or twice at trying to get shaders going for me but, I just couldn't figure out the right combinations of choices and what I should do first, IE: create a BW image of my texture pack then apply or if i just use that for the displacement map... I dunno... so many options my head is..... sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh
:biggrin.gif: I might revisit that road in the future.

I know exactly what you mean! Start messing with textures and I find myself hardly ever playing the game.

Your pack looks great. :smile.gif:
LOL, it feels good to not be the only one! :biggrin.gif:
I also took a peek at your remix as well and it looks good man. The screenshots you took are great, and really compliment the features of the pack nicely!
I thought remixes weren't allowed. well correct me if i'm wrong
Not that I am aware of. I believe there are guide lines that are expected of those that mix and match to give proper credit and also request permission from the original authors to use their work, but other than that I think they are okie dokie. Honestly, I think 75% of the texture packs are remixes of everything out there.
Poop, redstone got cut off in the main texture track picture. Here's a better view of it all.
I also updated the changelog area, so you know what to really look for in the screenshots. I think it might almost be worth offering as a download. :biggrin.gif:
Looks very cool. Only thing that I don't like is the lock breaking texture, but I can change it when I download this great TP!
So I started to feel the same way as you, and I've changed the block breaking texture. No face, and more "realisticish...". It also gives you a better feel about when you're about to finish breaking the block.
Might I just ask, do you have permission from the original creators to use their work? I looked through your post and couldn't find anything that said you did.

I also have a personal PM from Ovo.

Can you see? Yes, yes I can! I think the effect is better in game than it is via screen shot.
