Please, just dont put 'Craft' on the end of he name, its so unoriginal and anoying. um what about, "scavare lama" it means "digging blade" in Italian (i love google translator :tongue.gif: )
oh, and will a golden apple actualy look like the apple? and a gold sword like the staff?
Edit: also "minerarie morte"="mining death" "lama del silenzio"="blade of silence" or if you really want craft in it "assassino mestiere"="Assassincraft"
but these words are hard to say, so maybe not lol

Ooo! Or how about 'Caverna della morte', the caves of death?!
Or 'Spada dell'architetto', sword of the architect?
Or simply 'Assassino Costruttori', Assassin builders?
I hadn't thought of the golden apple thing, but that's a good idea! Maybe I'll turn the 'useless' golden weapons into the pieces of eden....*cackles madly*
Why? Because now... I'll never have time to find a life, marry a nice girl, and raise a gaggle of sprouts before I die.
How could I, between the urge to build an Assassin's Creed world, work on my Steampunk world, and fighting monsters in my High-Fantasy world?
So much epic... so little lifespan.
If only I had been given another thousand years!
All I need now is a Fallout-themed texture-pack... and I might never leave my room again.
Here... take these, you terrible terrible monster:
*Grins evilly*
I feel no remorse. Not a drop. You poor minecraft slave you.
*telepathically sends messages to carry through with plan to build as assassin's creed world*
It'd be cool to have the Stargate as an Animus, but I know thats impossible with the shape of the thing, but now i can so imagine an Assasins creed Server, and there is one in the making, they should so use this, this is too good, man. Can't wait to see mobs like, Zombie =Templar guard with sword, Skeleton =Templar Archer with crossbow, Spide r=.....Spider? Creeper =I dont even want to know. Chickens should be Eagles and you collect their feathers (AC link), which is of course is what you had in mind, right? I imagine cows, pigs, sheep and squid to be the same, just with a little redone colouring to look less childish.

There's an assassin's creed server? That's so cool! Why haven't I heard of this....and how can I advertise to them?!

there is some clan about assassins, I told them about you but I didnt book mark the thread so I might be to lazy to find it again and see if they replied :tongue.gif:.
Oh, I forgot to mention-- no artwork is included in this pack. I wanted to wait until I had finished all the paintings to post it rather than put in an incomplete png.
This is really beautiful work. I'm not really interested in the theme and I prefer higher-res packs but this artwork is so well done I can't resist swapping this pack in and looking around.
That smooth stone is gorgeous. And you did a really nice job of making the ores look embedded in the stone; the diamond looks especially cool. Your cobblestone looks great too, although that one large round stone sticks out a bit much, especially on steps. The stone half-step has a really nice trim on it and makes beautiful checkerboard patterns with the full smooth stone block.
That dirt texture works better than it ought to. It looks like it would produce unnatural-looking stripes of thicker/thinner dirt clumps, and it has a little bit of that, but I guess the contrast in the colors is low enough that it doesn't stand out as much as you'd expect. The clay looks cool, but pretty unnatural in a large deposit. Probably works better as a building material.
I love the way you turned cacti into shrubs and canes into grape vine trellises. Just look at those shrubs. And that bed looks so luxurious. And I'm gonna have to steal that iron gate and use it in some of my other packs. Your wooden door looks good, but I would want one with a window. Should it match the wood block more? Not sure. I'm not really a fan of wood blocks with that kind of edging, but you make it look really good, and it definitely fits with the rest of the pack. I like your candle/torches too.
It cracks me up that you did those climbing-wall bumps for the ladder (and I notice you included a really nice looking regular ladder as an alternate). That evokes Assassin's Creed more than anything else in the pack.
Again, this is very impressive work. Have you done any other texture packs? I'd love to see you do a more "vanilla" one. And I look forward to seeing how this one turns out. Thanks for sharing it with us.
(P.S. -- please do make some alternate non-AC-themed textures for the Nether, most everything else works fine as a generic Italian pack, except maybe some non-Crusader chests?)

Thank you very much for the detailed review! I've been on pins and needles over here waiting for someone to download and comment.
I agree with you about the clay-- I'm still trying to find a way to make it look better in deposits while keeping the psychedelic swirl I like so much. And I would politely request that if you DO use my iron door, please give me credit somewhere (and point them back to this pack XD).
This is my first 'real' texture pack. I fooled around with a 16x Egyptian themed one before (based around the idea of water and the Nile), but gave it up when I posted screenshots and nobody gave a damn...and, in retrospect, it WAS a little fugly.
...I'm not too sure about doing a vanilla pack. I'm rather morally opposed to all the 'simple' and 'clean' packs that have been going around, since any six year old could do the same with an hour and a smudge tool. I was, however, considering working on an Atlastis themed pack (tenatively titled 'Atlantica-- Before the Flood') that would radically change the color scheme and landscape in Minecraft. I'll consider it, though.
EDIT: Might you be interested in the plain-jane Renaissance alternate textures I mentioned at the beginning of the post? If I get enough people who want it, I'll do a set of textures and paintings (and probably weapons/armor too) that don't have to do with assassin's creed.

Oh, no. I just meant the mix-n-matching I do for my own personal use. I wouldn't dream of releasing a pack using someone else's art without their permission.

Yes. Although as I said, pretty much everything in your screenshots already works fine as generic Renaissance (including that Assassin's Guild banner, which could just be some Italian heraldry if I didn't recognize it from the game) except for the Nether blocks and maybe the Crusader chests.
This pack is great, thanks for the upload! I've never gotten into Assassin's Creed but look and feel matches the tech of Minecraft to a 't'.
I can say that this is my new default texture :biggrin.gif:
Anyone have an idea for a distinctive title?
CreedCraft, RenaissanceCraft, BrotherCraft, AssCraft xD
And the new dirt/grass looks great!
