SO I'm guessing the logic behind chainmail armor is that since you can only get it from villagers, it might as well follow their Cthulhu theme? Can't wait to see it!
I think I might run away from the leather armor though.

Funny thing; they're all actually finished. I'm just working backwards and slowly replacing them with the defaults...
Seriously though, no idea. Redstone wiring turned out to be a bigger pain that I had expected, so I set it on the backburner a bit.
And no, there's other ones with animations. Misa's Realistic uses them, as well as a few other ones I've seen.

I do really like the idea of Gobby's Pumpkin bombs for the throwable ones! It'll depend on whether or not I can get animated smoke to color correctly with the potions. If so, I'll definitely throw one is, at least as an Alt.

In vDC news, I'm not going to have an update this weekend, as everything I'm working on at the moment are large, complicated textures; But hopefully the next update shall include the finished menus, breaking animation, and at least one set of armor (hopefully more, but they're a pain)
I would love to see how you do your work you should diffidently do video showing your process

I've got a mic for the first time in years, a computer that could handle the recording... I just don't have a good capture program (fraps stops recording after a minute or so).
I'm also concerned over the fact that my "process" is basically a lot of trial and error and Macgyvering things together. I think any movie I do might come off more as "LOOK! LOOK how much work I put in!" as opposed to "this is how I do this"
I'd probably just speed the whole video up and add a song, so it wouldn't really be instructions so much; might still be neat though.
I'll look into it a bit more!
for M&B:Battlegear - i got risugami's armour stand just now think i might use it to make armour icons for knights armour...i can start on banners today, there is 16 todo.
also just made blood rain/water about to test. have todo splash particle and flowing still. i am sure if someone can work out the colour mod this could be in a certain biome only(swamp)?

Record with fraps. Just get a full version for free xD screw buying it, or getting the trial. You could maybe livestream it using xsplit program or something like that.. And the site should keep the video on your profile for viewing later..

a small issue: the coal is quite invisible at ur dark background, not such a big pain but it would disturb other people, i think...
(maybe alternative background or u evade this issue with an incredible and never seen coal texture )

For the coal, I was probably just going to snag one of the pieces from the Ore blocks and fix up the outlines, or something along those lines.

thanks i think it is cool for 'evil' screenshots- i have done all the textures to have ingame i might share? about the colour mod i will see what i can find out then, maybe i can work it out. i didn't even think of the mushroom biome- that would be perfect!
edit: i can't seem to find any info except to look into misa'a pack for examples (doing that now).
About the rain/water myselicum and that blood/flesh stuff that will be alt textures right? or at least it will have alt
maybe.... i recoloured textures so blood rain/water is everywhere. i'm lookin into the colour mod about biome-specific colours also. so emperor doom may include it or i might upload a patch.
edit: mmm colour mod in mcpatcher is a bit confusing to me... may take me awhile to work out biome-specific colour.... so far i know that it uses watercolourX.png and a colour.properties file....
edit again: ok found some helpfull info.... lets see what i can do.....
ok i have succesfully coloured biome-specific water and splash particles however i am having trouble with the rain. i will have something to show this arvo....

I haven't had much of a chance to mess around with the bloodwater yet; as the armor is turning into a giant pain in the ass. I'm on day 3 or 4 of making the Iron Armor, and for whatever reason, nothing seems to be working right for me.
So I may not have any armors in the next release; but I do still intend on finishing as many of the menus as I can and at least throwing in some placeholders for the Break animation and Redstone.
On a semi-related note, I've been taking breaks from the Iron Armor to 1) Keep myself from smashing my monitor 2) work on a couple HD skins for McKrawll and his son.
Neither will be public releases, but I think I'll use parts from them bother to toss together some that everyone can use.
Just thought some of you might like to see the skins, as I think they turned out neat as ****!
Shame about the armors, but at least you get a chance to make them even cooler now.

ok i have to redo the mods armour textures i noticed a couple of errors that can only be fixed by starting again.
