Apologies if this has been said before, but is there a known bug for the mipmaps and anti-aliasing to revert to defaults midgame? Usually shortly after loading my world, the mipmaps and antialiasing are working but then after a short lag skip, it reverts to defaults. Does this sound familiar to anybody?
What I'm seeing with 16b is that it finds that the version is different when you run the launcher so it reinstalls 16b at runtime.
To get around it for now, all you need to do is run the mojang launcher. Update and run 16b once. Exit out of the game and go to the Development Console. Look for "Running: "C:\Pro~ Yadah Yadah
Copy everything after the semicolon up to, but not including the "---- YOU CAN CLOSE THIS LAUNCHER IF THE GAME STARTED OK ----" message.
Paste into a command prompt (cmd.exe. Right click to paste).
Press enter, you're good to go for now. Putting it in a .bat file might make it work but idk how often their session ID's update.
Ok so i recently got mc patcher and sortex fanver
and now every time i long of Mine craft then log back on all my blocks are invisible so i end up havinv to repatch Mc to get the Textures working. Does anyone know why this keeps happening?
well running the patcher on the jar file (which is not called natives) and then clicking the test from within MCPatcher gets me a nice launched game with the patched look. Running the dev launcher and then launching the snap and no CTM, so I assume not patched...

Yup.. same with me and if you look at the dev console you cans see the re-download

Now that it overwrites the jar every time, I had to completely redo how I handle versions with the new launcher. MCPatcher now creates a separate versions/ subfolder for the patched jar. Once you patch, it should show up in the launcher as a separate entry with a -mcpatcher suffix, e.g., 13w17a-mcpatcher. There's some attempt to convert the old <version>-original.jar backups to the new format, but if you run into problems, it's best to delete the version and let the launcher redownload it.
This is very much experimental, so use at your own risk.
Is there a way to disable animated textures? They bug me. Thank you.

just an FYI for those who us the Better Than Wolves Mod with MCpatcher, BTW recently majorly altered block rendering code in order to optimize performance and many of the patches available in mcpatcher are incompatible ATM. As stated in my post on the BTW forums:

Ok just thought i'd pipe in my test results using a new BTW overwrite of all MCPatcher additions. At the current moment all patches save for HD fonts are overwritten to some extent and for the most part are useless. Custom Colors may or may not be working, I was unable to test it. Here are the overall results that I got, keep in mind that some portions of these *MAY* work with results that are difficult to observe:
Extended HD: Status: uncertain ; Mipmapping may be working but otherwise there is not much I know about the state of this rendering code
HD Fonts: Status: Working Properly without any overwrites
Custom Colors: Status: Uncertain (unable to test ATM)
Random Mobs: Status: Total overwrite by BTW ; BTW overwrites this code completely so it is just deleted upon patch
Connected Textures: Status: AFAIK all base classes are overwritten by BTW and so it is deleted upon patch
Better Skies: Status: Base class Overwrite by BTW ; deleted upon patch
Better Glass: Status: Completely and dangerously broken WARNING! installing BTW over Better Glass initiates a rendering war between the two codes. Chunks will constantly fight for rendering and Minecraft is essentially unplayable. DO NOT INSTALL!
CTM's are totally broken by BTW
Sorry about that, I was unaware of the way the patcher alters the code, rather than replacing it, and now know that they work properly when BTW is properly installed
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way glass looks and connected textures!
FlowerChild is optimizing rendering code of MineCraft. Is there ANY way that you and maker of Connected Textures could work with him so that I can get my awesome-looking glass back?

How did you get it to work? What do you mean, "properly installed"?OK, reading thread in BTW Tech Support ;-)
when i run the beta mcpatcher all it can find is the 13w16a-natives, and not the jar.
how do i fix this?
I imagine i need to add something to color.properties, but what?
Settings used:
Mipmap Max Level: 9
LoD Bias: 0
Anisotropic Filtering: 8
Anti-Aliasing: 2
There is no 13w16b-natives.jar

Yay thank you It worked

Download MCPatcher 3.1.0-beta3 jar exe.
Just make the texture pack contain 1 frame instead of them all.
seems to bewas ninja-updated, MCPatcher complains about being already modded. The 1.5.2 downloaded last thursday can be patched, but a 1.5.2 downloaded today by the new launcher cannot be patched.

Just asking ;-)
(I already know the answer is probably - no) ;-(
Thanks anyway for your efforts.
