hello kahr I would want to ask you. How to make ctm for a fashion? for example for red power2. there is a rubber tree and I want that it was method ctm. I have a.png file but I can't write it properties. tell as to make it or enter it into mcpather.
I found a bug/problem
I wanted my dirt to be oranger in deserts and darker in forests
the dirt works fine... but sidegrass dirt doesn't change.
I did everything properly in the config file.
could you make it so sidegrass can be edited
cuz it seems that it is hardcoded that you can't change it
Actually what you need to do is change your graphics setting to fancy. The grassy side will then default to the color on the top of the block. Hope this helps =)
Please help - 65 yr old grandmother trying to install Dokucraft for my grandson. I already have too many items and Clay soldiers. For clay soldiers I had to get Forge. Now when I try to install MCPatcher I get the Warning: Your minecraft.jar appears to be an older version or is already modded. etc... Questions (2) Should I copy my minecraft.jar and minecraft-1.3.2.jar before I delete them? AND after I re-download the game using the launcher and then run MCPatcher, will Too Many Items and Clay Soldiers be available to "Add(+)", using the Add button? I'm afraid to continue with this until I hear from someone. Thanks!!! Carole
Khar is there a possibility of making this work with say multiMC where we can use it much like you do Optifine and drop it into the jarmods folder. I much prefer MCpatcher when I can.

I don't want a ton of extra stuff, just a couple small changes. If I just install HD Texture Pack (for the ability to customize water), and Better Grass, then delete MCPatcher, will everything be fine? Or do I NEED all this other stuff on my computer? Is there any way to simply install a single mod anymore?
Another question: I tried installing Better Grass, but the grass on the sides of blocks is a different color -- more saturated than the grass on the top. Is this usual? Is there a way for me to fix this?
This mod changes the textures of blocks of the same type when they are next to each other, but what about blocks of different types? Could it be possible to assign an alternate block ID that the block.properties file will apply to? If not in this release, then how difficult would it be to code this in a future release?
I think this would open up a lot of possibilities for texture pack makers.
I have MCPatcher and the latest Forge. The only problems is that better grass and better glass don't work. All of the other feature work though.
Better Glass only works with the snapshot, you should disable it for 1.3.2. (I think.)
Better Grass does not work with texture packs! This is only for the default. The mod basically put the top grass texture on all sides, thus changing the TEXTURE. This makes it pretty wonky if you're using texture packs.
Would it be possible to use both repeat and randomization for the same texture? As in, have a 8x8 pattern of sand that only appears 1% of the time? And if it's not already possible to do that, would this be something that could be a feature in a future update?

So, I was wondering if there was anything you could do on your end about a problem I'm having. There's an issue between CTM, and Bump/specular mapping using Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders. It's incorrectly applying the terrain_s and terrain_nh to anything with ctm support. Here's the result
And since more texture packs are starting to take advantage of ctm it would be neat if we could get them to work together. I tried just adding extra _s and _nh .pngs to go along with the ctm files, but it didn't work.
Here's another shot of ctm being applied to stone textures with bump/specular mapping enabled.
Ok...I've posted this in quite a few other places but I've been directed here since apparently those in this thread will hopefully have more of an idea on how to help
I recently formatted my computer, cleaned it and overclocked a bit. I've been getting everything set up the way I want it and today I was setting up Minecraft. I use John Smith texture pack that I've modified myself a bit and noticed two things.
1. The text is rather...more pixelated that it normally is. As though the font size has changed and lost quality or something.
2. Whenever I look off to the distance everthing's not as clean looking as it used to be. Like it's all of a sudden lower resolution or something. And during movement there's so much noise and static in the image it's REALLY noticeable.
Anyone know if there's anything I can do about this? And before the obvious responses come up...
Yes, I have the latest drivers for my graphics card.
Yes, I have installed Java (Both 32 and 64 bit)
Yes, I've used MC patcher.
Yes, I've tried re-installing the texture pack, other packs work just fine. I tried default and Inspiration and they both are fine.
Yes, I've tried with and without connected textures
Yes I've tried numerous times to do complete new installs of both my Minecraft AND the texture pack
Yes, I've even tried optifine and maxing out the mip-mapping or whatever. Helped a little but the problem was still there
Before formatting my computer I played with this exact pack for almost a year now with no troubles. I literally copied over my entire .minecraft folder and all of my data.
Those who posted in my thread dedicated to this issue have claimed it's on the texture pack makers end. Which I'm not thinking is true with so many other people using this just fine. Any ideas?
For those wondering if it's my configuration settings they are as followed,
I've tried it with both the settings all the way up and all off.
Yes that means the Anisotropic filtering too as well as Antialiasing.
I'm still getting this noise and fuzziness to the game. It seems to only be with John Smith too. Inspiration and Faithful are both 32x32 and they look fine. Default looks fine too.
If anyone can help me I'd really appreciated it. I've been looking for a fix for almost 3 days now and no one has any idea
well that's a pity, still hope to see this feature added soon
Praise be to Spode.

and forge will always conflict with mcpatcher.
use optifine it better than mcpather.

Please, in Minecraft go to Options | Video Settings and check if GUI Scale is set to "Auto".
Maybe it can solve the text problem.
I hope that helps.
