I'm just confirming something. Do the sky/ fog colors use a special PNG or a text-based file? What is the file called? And can the color differ between texture packs? Where in the texture pack would I put such a file?

For the normal world, it's PNG based. For the End and Nether, it's in color.properties. The sky color png is called skycolor0.png. and the fog color png is called fogcolor0.png. Yes. Both of them go in /misc/.
You should probably read the "Information for Texture Pack Authors" section in the OP.
Would it be at all possible to add the ability to change the glow of experience orbs to the CustomColors mod? The green really clashes with what i'm using in my Texture Pack.
Put thanks anyway for your fantastic program! I wouldn't of been able to convince my friends to install mods if they had to do it manually!

I have encountered an issue. I am currently using the Minecraft Patcher 2.3.4_01, and I am unable to select HD textures to be patched.I have trouble shot and started with a fresh .jar numerous times. I can give you the log from my clipboard if you feel that that would help?
Hello, I'm using MCpatcher 2.3.4_01 on a mac, i patched my minecraft jar and minecraft works fine, but when i "test minecraft" all i get is a blackscreen test client. Please tell me how to fix this
Mac users who are having problems with the latest MCPatcher: I believe I have a fix in place. Please download 2.3.4_01 again and see if it fixes the problem.
HELP! I made a texture pack with custom colours making green redstone and that works perfectly but the problem is the colour of the breaking particals from the wire. When i hit the wire it breaks with red breaking particles instead of green like it should be. Anyone know how to fix this please reply?
MCPatcher 2.3.4_01 isn't working for me. I've tried installing only the default mods (HD Fix, HD Text, Random Mobs, Custom Colours) and it appears to patch without issue, however Minecraft then gives a blackscreen, and sometimes a crash screen, whether going through 'Test Minecraft' or through the Minecraft launcher. I think it is an issue with the way MCPatcher is modding the minecraft.jar, because I tried installing ModLoader ONLY, not even the default MCPatcher mods, and it still crashed.

Hello there.
I recently downloaded the MC Patcher for 1.2.3.
Now animations are forced into the resolution for the rest of the pack.
I like having a 32x32 with pro as water. Is there any way around this?

This is compatible with 1.1, right? I'm using MCNostalgia because I want to be able to use the 1.1 mods until they're updated to the current version. But when I try to add mods I get this error:

I keep getting this error when starting minecraft after patching. I believe it to be because of my graphics card.

MCPatcher-2.3.4_01 with Minecraft-1.2.3 ... I can successfully patch MC (ModLoader, ModLoaderMp, AudioMod, Rei's Minimap, a few others) ... but every time I relaunch MCPatcher, it wipes out its mcpatcher.xml file ... and therefore thinks no mods have been installed. (It is not restoring the original minecraft.jar but it is wiping/resetting the XML file.) -- Mac OSX 10.6.8

I took the advice from posting #4564 but that newer version wipes/resets the mcpatcher.xml file, too.
I can't acess my texture packs page on mc patcher it crashes then on the original minecraft it just turns off here's more information:

I'm no programmer, and in fact I don't know much about how texture packs even work on the technical level. I'm just an artist. But I know this is possible to implement.
Mojang said they wouldn't be able to increase the build height limit without a huge performance decrease, but then they did it and in most cases performance is the same or better.
I don't know if the idea has been mentioned before, and I don't care. It's still a good idea. I could make the game look much better with randomized textures - no more cliffs than look like cement walls, no more fields that look like astro-turf.
Well Iam not a modder but I have basic knowledge... and If it is random its ok the RAM could be enough, but if the game remembers all the random texture for each block, it would be a mess... I guess...

I don't have any complaints and important issues or anything, I just wanted to take the short amount of time it takes to say thank you, thank you for this wonderful, highly important piece of wonder, and thank you for being so good about keeping it up to date and helping users with problems. it really means a lot, to the whole minecraft community, I think.
and all the new stuff you're always adding?? amazing. it's just always great.
I saw the "animations for anything!" thing and nearly had a heart attack from the awesomeness. if that works with mob skins too... I.. the... I think... I just don't think I'd be able to handle that. as a TP artist who tries to find the most creative ways possible to use retexturing, I don't think I'd be able to handle the beauty of the potential of that ;_;
My Jungle trees look like they have snow on each block of wood. Defualt Tex pack and latest Mc patcher even tried an old one. fresh install of MC. not sure whats going on .
well could you possibly make it use your minecraft login when testing minecraft (i have the capes mod and i want to use it my pc i very bad i cant run minecraft.exe or in-browser but i can just barely run it though your "Test Mineccraft" button) please make the patcher use "lastlogin.file" please!!
