This is a richly styled texture pack adding a wonderful effect to the Minecraft experience and features blocks that are either encrusted or dusted with ores. This pack is the, far superior, successor to Richcraft, which in all honesty, pales in comparison to the beauty of GrandCraft. This pack adds a unique touch to the game while still maintaining the original Minecraft feel, making it an ideal pack, especially for those people who are used to the original games look and feel.
And now without further ado, I am pleased to present the download of: GrandCraft
The blocks are now diamonds! And everything is a little mmmmm richer.(lol, references.)
More screenshots:
This shot shows the UI changes in the pack as well.
This pack is dead.
Im not planning on updating it. Since this will never be on the sticky list of texture packs theres no point in trying to keep it going. Sorry to anyone who downloaded and liked this, but im done. I may try another pack sometime if I find a theme that somehow hasnt been alreday overdone.
Yeah sorry about that, the image hosting site wasnt cooperating well with me, I posted a link to a larger image, if that still doesnt look good ill go back ingame and take a close view screenshot of a few blocks for larger sample
The squares, in the best way I can manage on the original terrain.jpg, are to represent different ores from the game built into the blocks. Some of them I'm happy with, others I felt could use more work, and I couldn't figure out how I wanted to edit grass at all. Like I said this was a rough first attempt at a texture pack and its still a major WIP
Changed snow covered dirt to look like the rest of the dirt (should have been done originally but I must have missed it.)
Changed ore blocks so the ore is more visible in comparison to stone and cobblestone.
Encrusted mossy cobblestone with gold and diamond.
Gave golden stems to flowers and mushrooms.
New Richcraft version released! Pack Completed!
V1 Changes:
Encrusted trees with gold.
Added gold speckle to saplings.
Encrusted cacti with gems.
Health icons changed.
Armor icons changed.
Encrusted clay with gems.
Encrusted chests with gold.
Encrusted craft table with gold.
Encrusted furnace/dispenser with gold.
Removed some of the gem encrusting from the top of stone slabs as I felt it was excessive.
Encrusted sandstone with gems.
Encrusted sugarcane with gems.
Darkened obsidian.
Encrusted note block/jukebox with gold.
And most importantly: Completed the pack!
I no longer consider this pack to be a WIP at this point as I have done all I plan to do to the terrain.png file. I will do my best to patch this as any further game updates may require, and there may be updates in the future based on recommendations/requests as well. Thank you all for your interest in the pack, I hope you enjoy my work, and as always, comments and recommendations for improvement are more than welcome.
LINK FIX
Okay, im sorry to anyone who viewed this and couldnt download it. Mediafire isnt linking my new files correctly. I have a temporary solution for downloading here:Im terribly sorry for the inconvience, and I will try to see if I can fix the mediafire file link later.
Alright, ill take it into consideration and see about changing them or not when I have some time to get back into editing the textures.

Well, to each his own I suppose. When I set out to do this pack I decided on two aspects, that in retrospect are not turning out very well. One was that I would attempt to conserve at least some of the original look of the objects to make it an easier transition to this from the default Minecraft, as I have seen many packs where I am unsure what a block is until I destroy it to pick it up for the first time. And the other one was to try to make a looks to difficulty scale for the editing of the blocks (The more complicated it was to get a block to build with the better looks i would give it). I do agree that some of the blocks(dirt, sand, gravel) were not edited enough, and they did turn out looking like they had "sprinkles." I guess those blocks will have to be one of the other issues that I address when I get back into editing this.
Theres a revamp for this pack in the works that you can expect to see sometime in the next week or two, alot of stuff is being slightly redone to look nicer, and some blocks are getting total overhauls. I have a preview picture below to show the new torches and the edits to grass.
EDIT: Screenshot removed, did not represent the pack in its current form.
Now of course as this is still in the works these changes may not be eaxctly what is in the final pack as I may decide to go back and do a slight bit of retouching to them.
Anyway enough about that, if you have any feedback on these blocks, or other changes you would like to see, im glad to hear them.
After some thought I decided id repost a download link for the last version of Richcraft before it became GrandCraft. (aka Richcraft V1) This is just in case anyone wanted that link for some reason. So here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?yda6xa85yn7vdlt
