this is way too cool, andre.
jolicraft's come a long way since i first used it in 1.2
EDIT: the only change i noticed was water animations, is the sky and stuff included in the pre release?
FINALLY! I've been wanting to choose my own sky colour for so long, and now I'm finally able. Keep in mind you'll have to patch your game with the latest version of MCPatcher to get the new colours to work properly. These aren't final, and I may change a few things for the next release. For now, enjoy!

· Custom colours for sky, fog, underwater, swamps, and more!
· Added some zombie alts
· Redid the creative mode inventory slider
Is this hard?
I don't think I'd be good at it because I don't know what part of the image is for what biome...
Thanks anyways
Not hard if you use a map, like this:
In the words of my good bud Wessexstock:
The exact pixel at the center of each target is the color of the grass for every block in that biome. Everything else is just transitions between. This makes adding noise pretty useless unfortunately, leading to transitional areas being 'noisy' but biomes staying one smooth color.
So basically just use this as your guide, check out how I've done it in my pack, and you should be off to a good start.
Great job Andre! The game looks beautiful! One question though, can you run me through the process of getting my minecraft patched? Are there any good Windows tutorials? Trust me, haven't had much luck.

I'm working on the 'instructions' section of Jolicraft.com to explain the process, so that should be live in the near future. For now:
1. Download MC patcher (https://github.com/downloads/pclewis/mcpatcher/mcpatcher-2.3.1.exe)
2. Run MC Patcher (it's a .jar file, so just double click it)
3. MC Patcher should automatically select your minecraft.bin file, so don't worry about that. Just when the MC Patcher window comes up that you have all the options checked (HD Textures, HD Font, BetterGrass [if you want it], RandomMobs, and most importantly - Custom colors)
4. Click "patch"
And that's it. Your Jolicraft pack should now work properly with the new custom colours. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems.

Thanks alot! It's so hard to find good instructions now' a days :dry.gif:
Everything looks awesome! The fog really sets the mood. Now for MCPatcher to create the option to change night fog!
*whistle* Andre, the latest update is PHENOMINAL! Loving it so much! Thanks for all the hard work and love. :biggrin.gif: It really shows in the pack.
I also had a question. Have you ever thought about animating some of your textures? Like maybe grass so it "waves", etc? Ive been curious if this was something you were interested in doing possibly.

Love the pack as always!
I actually had given that a try, but it totally failed. I made some wavy grass that sorta bends back & forth, but it looked stupid because all the grass in the world was waving exactly the same at the same time. Like every single tile of grass did the same thing at the same time. It was ugly and distracting. I did the same thing with the tree leaves, I applied a ripple filter to give them a wavy look. Individually they look great, but when you apply it to the whole world and you have tons of textures all doing the same thing at the same time it just looks wrong. It works with the water I think because water is supposed to have a rhythmic motion to it. For grass and leaves and stuff it just doesn't work. There needs to be some randomness to the animation to make it feel natural, which you can't do when you have all blocks of the same type doing the same thing.

I agree, your pack would look great with animation!
Edit: i just saw your response, so true.. but maybe a furnace? things like the sun?(if possible) that would be amazing!
Might you consider adding more "armoury" armour skins? I'm not a big fan of going into battle against the ender dragon with neon blue sunglasses and a bedazzled belt...
Please take this into consideration :smile.gif:
PS! Im a big fan of your pack and have been using it since the first version came out!
come on you gota get ur bling on :tongue.gif:

Check the customizer. I have an alt for each type of armor set, and you can mix & match (choose your favorite for diamond), maybe one of those would suit you better?

Hey there! Me and my friend Kirby232 are planning on making Minecraft LP videos, and even our own adventure map! We've got a tumblr blog set up so one can stay in the news for updates on what we're doing, go check it out!
Too cool!
You can make a 'foliagecolor' style png for skycolor, watercolor, underwatercolor, fogcolor, etc.

Perhaps you could post them for a try?
Yes that overlay does apply to all the gradients.
*EDIT*
Nevermind! I tweaked the stuff in the patcher and it fixed the textures. Continue the great work in the pack, my favorite by far <3
