I understand the source of inspiration for the texture pack, but I honestly don't like the blatantly Legend of Zelda art. Whenever I get them in-game, I always take it down and try again. (I do rather enjoy the Sonic Adventure one though.)
One of the things that I like about the art in this pack is the mix of different things. There's art that would be fitting in a dungeon, banners good for lining a castle hall, and some that make for good secret hideouts or general rooms. If the art is changed to be all LoZ art, it would lose all of that appeal.
Just my opinion. Feel free to discard. It's not like making my own art file would be in any way difficult.
I'm with him, this pack is amazing but I much prefer the old art. I've actually stuck the art.png from 1.4 into 1.5 just to get it back :Pig:.

Haha, personal preference. Go ahead and change it. I dont mind.
I just tried swapping out the art texture, but it seems to break the entire pack. I'm not getting any of the Xai textures anymore. I put it into the same place, gave it the same name, and zipped it back up with no change in name.
It has the default icon, no description, all of the textures revert to default. Anyone else having this issue?
I can help you with this. When you re-zipped the files into a folder, you right clicked on the main folder for the texture pack and zipped. This creates an extra folder inside the zip and Minecraft doesn't know where to find the textures. Instead, from inside the main texture pack folder, drag your cursor over everything to select all folders and files, then right click and add to a zip. Minecraft will be able to find the textures.
I don't particularly like the art for this pack. While I do love Wind-Waker, the detail of the art doesn't fit it at all. If you did a little bit of editing to the pictures to get them a bit more like the pack that would be great.
Not a big deal, but if you could credit me as the original source/base of those, that would be keen. Xaiwaker's pack is heavily based on mine and he properly credits me, but when there are further iterations, things get a bit muddy. I appreciate it, and great work!

I would, but I don't actually have a "texture pack", or a thread of my own. Those textures I made are, you could say, part of the Xaiwaker pack.

I just tested this out, and everything is working just fine. Thank you very much, sir. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

Now I just need to finish my replacement art...
There ya go! See, no biggie to just replace the art file haha.
Nope, not really. And now that I finally have a decent pixel art program (I'm on a Mac,) I'm feeling inspired to play around with making my own texture packs to play with at some point. I suspect Xaiwaker will be far better than anything I produce for quite some time.
Speaking of which, I can't find a tutorial or guide anywhere, so you're getting a PM with some questions, Xai. Please don't hate me!
Kickass texture pack man, instantly became my favorite as soon as I saw the trademark spirals of Windwaker.
Only one problem I've encountered with it, update 1.3_01, as everyone knows, put in a bed. And since the texture pack doesnt have that texture its popping up as invisible, this is only a minor inconvienece in an otherwise godly texpack. Again thanks for the pack.
Can you make the bed blue with a tri-force logo on it....please.
I'll be leav...
SSSSSSSSSS
AHHHHH
Respawn....damn creeper.
Now I'm leaving.
EDIT: ....Baka...sorry for complaining. I didn't notice the update log.
The in-game armor textures are also ready!... with two notes:
[>>-i>] The in-game crowns are already near-perfect and I didn't have the patience to shiny-up the gems on them.
[>>-i>] I'm not including a screenshot. :tongue.gif:
Ahh man I LOVE this pack, it's sooo freaking awesome, but one question, how do I use the custom water? It shows the default minecraft water instead of yours.

I got it working when I loaded it with mcpatcher. You can find it at: viewtopic.php?t=46173
Also, this is a beautiful texture pack. Thanks for sharing it!
Thank you. :smile.gif: The custom water looks sooo beautiful.
