mate, the only thing borderlands about this is the GUI. everything else simply.. does not fit the theme of Pandora. but the gui's are good so 5/10.
I disagree with this statement. Aside from the GUI and the painting icon, its not a direct Borderlands copy, but heavily inspired by the artistic style design, with a few tidbits of Pandora's culture (the armor, for instance). As I often say, look at the bookshelves and iron door textures; you can see very distinctive box shapes on them that are everywhere in Borderlands.

If you read the thread you would know that this texture pack isn't trying to look like Pandora, but simply giving minecraft the Borderlands Texture art style. And that Ashley is working on a Pandora faithful pack in the background along side this.
OK!! Here's what I found doing my search... (note: I only looked at the torch and wheat, not looking for others until people find them)
First of all, none of the 3 packs had issues with the "White" bug, all worked fine, see the signs in screenshots.
I was able to locate where exactly in the terrain.png the offending pixels were so that Ashley can remove them in the next update. The 128x pack only has the Wheat dots, the torch is fine.
I can see some stray pixels, like the ones over the wheat (happens to be the bottom of the sapling above it), but I can't see the torch one, but like you said, could be opacity. I just erase where I think it should be.
The wheat gets rendered 4 times, I think Torch gets rendered 4 times when stuck in a horizontal surface, not sure, and saplings get rendered twice.
I just tested both the 32x and the 64x. All the mobs are drawn in correctly as well as the signs. However I have to reevaluate my opinion on the stray pixel. (BTW, for those of you who are unfamiliar with making TPs it is only one pixel. It just has been rendered twice). IF it were something to do with the smoke or fire particles than the pixel would move. Because it is stationary it pretty much as to be attached to the torch. It appears to be in the upper right hand corner but for the life of me I could not see it. This may mean that the pixel has an opacity of like 5% or something. Minecraft, is kind of obnoxious in how it reads transparencies. Anyway. I hope my observations help, at this moment I am near delirious with exhaustion so I hope that this is coherent as well.
On a side note my bro just bought me the Borderlands GOTY from steam for $7.50. Awesome deal! Dr. K. did you work on borderlands at all?

hi, will you please make sticky pistons distinguishable from just pistons? thanks
Sticky pistons have a dirtier face. Stick one of each side-by-side and you'll notice the difference.
There is only a very slight difference in the shade of the torch pixel which is enough to make it appear. But it's there. If you just erase the entire row of pixels below the line I drew then you'll get it.
It's possible the image I uploaded isn't the best quality so the colour information got reduced, but if you do what I did and overlay the image over a black background you should see what I'm talking about.
Or maybe my screen has slightly better contrast than urs? It's possible.. Although I doubt it since it's just a normal Dell 23" TN led screen. Not even IPS!

You know what? I think it's my cintiq. It's usually A LOT darker than my main monitor. That's probably why I haven't been able to see it.
I just realized, there's a stray pixel on the reed in the 64x pack. I never noticed until I chopped the top 2 pieces off and looked real close at the one remaining reed. I doubt I'll fix it, hardly knew it existed.

I'll take a look after work, which is over 12hrs away as I only just got on the bus to get me there :tongue.gif: I've never noticed it, altho again, I'm using the 128. Also, Screenshot would help alot!
All it comes down to is Ash will need to be vigilant when she resizes future updates. :smile.gif:
Wow Slothy, were you actually able to see the shade difference with the torch pixel? I still can't. It is were I guessed it would be but...
A little late but, if you can't see the difference between the pixels then you may need to tweak your monitor or buy a better one (once you can afford it) especially if computer graphics is your planned profession!
Third! There seems to be a problem with the bed textures. They don't seem to meet up at edges. We all use the 128x128 pack FYI. This seems to have happened since the latest update. We have used the latest High rez patcher for 1.7.2.
Note the see through bits :smile.gif: Of course if this were Microsoft you would be saying "it's by design" :smile.gif:
Totally a feature. Works as intended. :wink.gif:
Yeah. That bed thing makes me mad. For whatever reason, they decided to move the cake and beds down to the bottom of the texture space instead of the top where they've been since they were first implemented. I'm guessing that the cake is probably messed up. I moved the beds and cake for the 1.7 update but I guess the sizing changed as well. :/
I haven't been able to do any major bug fixing because my Minecraft won't load because of the default 1.7 update. I can only see the game if I patch the 128 version of Bordercraft (64 version crashes for some reason). I'm going to try some fixes when I get home...(I have fixes that I need to check before I upload another version >_<)
This is one of the only texture packs I use regularly (I use several different ones) and I cant figure this out but what are the shears? They look kind of like a brush or handle...
Well, I'd very much like to see you create a new texture pack that fits more with Borderlands. Go on, I'd like to see.

Here is a .zip with the images showing the pixel locations: BorderCraft_Stray_Pixels.zip
Happy fixing!

The other long running offender is also fixed! Pine Saplings now no longer have stray fire pixels! Whohoo!
He must be super human :tongue.gif:
lol, something like that. BTW, Still love this pack even though I have made my own. I switch between the two frequently. :biggrin.gif:

Yea Ashley managed to fix this one for the 1.7 update :smile.gif:

Dirtier? . . . I thought it was a blood stain . . . a sticky blood stain. :blink.gif:
