I'll be busy making sure that everything is 1.5 compatible. Please be patient and understanding. I'll get this up very soon. I just got back from college. =)

Disabling Aero actually won't change it by much.
I get quite a lot more frames when I disable Aero... I dunno.
Interesting. I just tested this on Shogun II everything maxed and actually lost 8 avg FPS. XD
I might just vary on what system you have... Eh, I've stopped caring, lol

Hi mate,
I've read through the post and i've seen people also suggest things so ill drop my opinion here too if you dont mind
I find the ore blocks to be a bit dull, more like a painted color of graffiti on the stone in gold color \ blue for diamonds
the coal and iron for example are perfect! that's the kind of raw ore I'd like to see in the gold and diamond ore block
when you find gold or diamonds you want to be thrilled and be excited by the very sight of it
I'd like the texture to convey this impact as well, and i was quite disappointed with how the gold and diamond ores looked like
overall, again, the most amazing texture pack I've seen!
I certainly appreciate critique. =)
I'll try to see what I can do after I update it for 1.5.
well..notch threw us a curve ball with the new stuff...gonna have some fun messing with ideas for the new tracks and redstone wire overlays..got them out with quick fix stuff already...lol

Sure did. I was feeling really confident with having just about everything already prepared. XD

It sure looks like a fun update. I'm an achievement *****, even if there is no way of sharing it :wink.gif:
Looking forward to your update Scuttles. Don't overwork yourself ^^
I'll try not to, but no promises. The achievement menus and very few other things won't be touched until I update it later this week, but I'm just trying to get a running version with HD textures and biome grass (finally!).
As for the bigger update/minerals issue... You could change the diamond ore block to look more like real diamonds, stuck in rock, rather than a blue smear. While pretty, the current block is not exactly what I'd term "Photo Realism". I still like them though...
Because of the new performance updates, I'ma start using 128x again. I hope rain and snow don't lag it to **** though.
Nice, let me know how the rain/snow looks. I actually never got to see it in-game. =/
Well, forgot about that...

Thanks for the update!
Quite welcome

Interesting. I'll mess around with it and try to get a better diamond textures. I'm a little uneasy about changing it because I'll also have to change the tools around to become more uniform.
Why does minecraft crash around every 4 minutes when I am using 256? It crashes usually when it hit 90 fps. I put the "limit FPS" thing on, but it doesn't help... anyone having this issue?
ok, so i downloaded the 256x version of the texture pack and i placed it in my texture file, patched it and opened minecraft, everytime i crash at the mojang title page, but when i take it out of the texturepack file, the game runs fine, what is happening?

Yes, I have the same issue. I'm a minecraft vetran and I've used a great deal of HD texture packs. I tried both the old 1.1.12.02 MCpatcher and the new 2.00 version, I tried installing it with the patcher and I tried putting it in the texture pack folder. Both the 258 and the 128 versions occasionally crash minecraft when inventory, chest or furnace is opened, the 258 does not work at all unless installed via the 1.1.12.02 patcher (when you place it in the texture pack folder as the poster above me said, the game does not even run). I've done the Java fix as explained in the video in this thread, I've tried deleting the bin folder altogether and thus running MC clean, I'm not currently running any mods at all, the result remains constant. I've never had any such issues with previous HD texture packs I've tried, the only conclusion I can draw here is there's a problem with the pack itself.
I've tested this pack on 3 separate computers and all of them are running it fine. Keep in mind the only method I've been using with the new patcher is through the texture pack folder. I can assure you, it's not the pack.
If you've done all that, the only thing I can ask is that you have a fresh install of minecraft before downloading and installing the patcher. Load the game prior to using the pack and then try placing the pack in after restarting Minecraft.
Bear in mind that 1.5 is a new update released today and will contain errors.

Nvidia GTX 260 btw. If that helps.
You using the latest drivers? if so have you done a coustom install and ticked the clean install option? Have you tried enabling the advamced opengl settings? Also you using the latest java 32/64bit?
BTW what version of the hd patcher you using im using 2.0 beta 4 and also removed the content of my .minecraft before updating the client to 1.5 (make sure you back up any saves)

Thanks. It's coming along really smoothly which means something is bound to go wrong. XD
Hopefully, because that's all I'm able to do in so little time, lol
Anyway, the update is coming along nicely and the new textures are working proper. Achievements are pretty cool and I have big plans on that GUI. =)
Lol, thanks. =)
Btw, the new biome grass is beautiful. It took like 45 minutes of me messing around to finally make it look natural.

Exactly, thank you Terak.
Linux generally produces better framerates than Windows or Mac. :tongue.gif:
Anyway can't wait for the 'Full 1.5 Update' for this pack that you said was coming later in the week <3
