The Zombie Pigmen might be a generation resulting from a band of survivors, albeit slightly mutated and affected by radiation, that found their way into the realm and managed to survive. This may explain their (mostly) passive nature towards the player--they're both mostly human.
They should adapt like the stonebacks, and be partly stone, that'd explain why they can resist fire,
OR
you could change fire to green bubbles from the waste, and make flint and steel a can of nuclear waste or something...

Yeah.. The Ghast is definitely going to be a large sentry robot. possibly something meant to carry things around as well. using the tentacles to justify that. I am starting now to play with the zombie pigman skins. It will likely be a survivor of sorts. Possibly wearing as Hazard suit due to the massive amounts toxic waste that will be in the area.
I think it was mentioned that the Nether might be the shattered remains of the Moon, making Zombie Pigmen some sort of astronaut workers from Orbital Industries. In this case, I think Radioactive Toxic Waste Sludge would be a perfect equivalent to Lava since they nuked the Moon.

So when you're in the Nether, you're inside what's left of the Moon? This is only a guess, because the Nether seems more of a really huge cavern than anything.
Still, that's a pretty good idea. But then how do the Portals work, you think? And is that glowing stuff on the ceiling of the latest photo Lightstone?
I think you guys should refrain from posting too much in this thread, since it is History's thread for the texture pack, so like posting random images and and large number of posts is unnecessary. If you want somewhere to discuss maybe one of you could open a "Last Days Discussion Thread". And this can be left mainly for History's updates, providing feedback on said updates, and suggesting things for the pack. Other off topic things would be left for another thread, so people can more easily find and see what History has updated.

Hm... It looks like our chances of finding it... *sunglasses* Just went up a Notch.
I wasn't sure how this was going to go down considering how the other guy who tried to do a similar, post-apocalyptic pack based off of Eld's thing got shut down pretty hard, but it's good to see this is going well.
This is totally amazing and good luck to finishing it off! :biggrin.gif:

It wasn't based off Eld's pack, Eld was just defending doku because the guy copied the texture from pictures because doku didn't release it yet.

Do you have anything planned for glass yet, if not i think it would cool if you could make it a bunch of broken shards of glass put together. Can't wait for release.
What do you mean what do i mean - Fine! :smile.gif: I meant Is the pack downloadable now? Or will it become downloadable upon finish?
Edit: Also, how difficult would it be to locate the appropriate sounds and copy over the old ones? Make it really amazing :biggrin.gif:
The sound files are not difficult to find. If you can find the .jar, You can find the sound files. The pack will include a new resource folder to replace the old one. I have been formatting the download in advance so it will be easier to get it out quickly when its done. You will need a mod so that your sounds are not auto updated but I will link to it in the OP when the time comes.
Yeah. I'm patinetly waiting on it's release so I can start on my underground HIVE system.
*twitch*.
Thats what Ive been doin with Dokus original pack. Ive been building a massive network just above lava level where it would be warmest. The caves link an above ground town (Rust town), an old abandoned Orbital Industries tower that can only be accessed by the tunnels and a cocoon town (Shelter Rock, That big hole I posted a picture of)
Sorry this week is busy for me. I will be posting more updates soon

quick question-
are you going to touch the font?
Unlikely, Its not friendly to being re-sized so there is not much I can do.

What do you plan on doing about noises such as the cave ones? Electrical noises perhaps?
This is my favorite of the sounds that Orange-Anything and I are working on. They are mostly going to be loud speaker announcements intended for Cocoon residents.

If I knew how to, I'd make an RP server based on this texture pakc
That would be awesome. Hopefully someone will be up to the task when the pack drops.

Please, Please, PLEASE release the WIP.
Please
I will consider releasing something before the full release. right now I don't even have the terrain complete so things are all over the place. When I have the terrain done. I will definitely consider pre-release.
Wow, amazing. The concept, the story and the art itself. So awesome. You've got everything thought out and there's that story that makes this pack so deep and it just looks amazing. I love it. Subbed!
it seems i am the only one who dislikes the wip release i hope you release it when everything is done so we immediatly have 100 percent fun to play.
No, I agree. Patience is a virtue seldom seen today. While I'm very eager to finally see and play this, I'd rather wait until it's complete before doing so. Which is not to say there won't be tweaks here and there post-release, but a fully formed pack as opposed to a WIP one seems like the better choice, even if it delays the beauty and fun.

Maybe.
They could look like golems, even! Well, not exactly golems...but I think the texture should be interesting to experiment with.
And maybe make flowers weird things like Venus fly traps or hardy things like shrubs
