I really like this pack, but the download link seems to be broken. I tried refreshing the page, clearing my history and cookies, and restarting the browser, but this error code showed on all the download links: Anyways, this pack looks amazing!

Sorry I just up and disappeared, but I kept forgetting about this, I had high school, and practically everything got in my way, not to mention I started to move on from Minecraft. I wish you the best of luck, but I can't help.

Same goes for me, tho, I will probably release a new update when 1.9 comes along. I am having a lack of inspiration for Minecraft this current moment, 1.9 is taking too long to release, even modded is starting to kinda get boring. Next to that I also have issues on school currently with keeping up all the work and tests, so there's another problem. I will return, but it might take some time

All of us users should band our creative minds together and keep Coterie Craft as alive as possible! It should take loads of stress off you guys.
Yeah It would really help us out indeed! EnderMiner messaged me today with some new textures too, so I hope we are able to update someday soon.
Sounds great. I may look at the textures and learn the art style so I can fill in some of the missing textures. I'll send them to you guys if they don't look terrible, lol!

Well, considering I'm not looking after it like I used to... you could be right.
Should there be no one to continue its legacy, then there is no doubt that Coterie Craft is dead. However, I know that karst is continuing it, but I am unsure if he is able to work on it like he used to... so, that makes me wonder... will there be a new heir to continue its legacy? Or has this pack expired for good? I'm assuming the latter, but y'all can prove me wrong.
I've been wanting to texture again, but it may not be my time... I haven't been all into Minecraft since Beta 1.8... and it was always a chore to fit in time to texture a game I hardly cared for. But the game was surely something back then... something I'm not too sure I can enjoy again.
I think... if I ever were to texture again, it will be in the form of a remake, one that will take place in a different thread to signify a new beginning. And this time, I'm thinking (although this could change)... it's going to be 32x... but not in the way you may think. We are not going to focus on being photo-realistic, so as to get every pixel of detail that we can get, but we do want to return to our roots while being clever about the 32x parameters.
If I recall, the whole purpose of this pack was to give Minecraft the textures it deserves... but maybe there's more to it than that. We plan on respecting some of default's iconic and overall well-made textures, refining some textures that may be off-color or are not tiling as well as they should, and to scrap some of default's worst textures and replacing it with one of our own. But since no development has started at this point, please do not get your hopes up. We'll let you know if development is going on.
You do have to admit, though, it's come a long way, longer than either of us thought it would last. Looking back, you gotta admit that this was a fun experience. For me, I was in my tweens when I started to help, from the embarrassing overuse of "epic" (and its variants) to the lack of skill presented during my texturing. Hey, in all fairness, paint.net was hard for a kid who was just learning algebra.
And I think that if this pack were to die from the lack of a heir, so to speak, then it would be a fitting end. After all, it's been supported by the community for so long, and if it had to go, it would go when the community stops finding interest in it. Isn't that why you named it "Coterie Craft"? Because it was a pack that everyone had chipped in, working together and talking to make a pack that they all liked, with you leading the way? I don't recall what license Coterie Craft is under, but I would suggest CC BY-SA 4.0, CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, or even CC0 if you ever feel like it's done. I don't know how you feel about it, but I think that it's better to make sure that your licenses (as I recall you previously had a CC 3.0 license) are in order and visible on the OP before you leave. After all, it's better to have it be in dozens of other packs than just dead forever, right?
I don't play Minecraft anymore (and if I did, it would be modded packs only), so I wouldn't use this pack anymore. But it's funny to look back and see that after five years, it's still has retained textures I suggested from one of the first version of Best of Quandary -- I'm looking at you, lava bucket with a near melting top. It honestly makes me smile, seeing that some things are still here.
Honestly, I only remembered this because of a reddit post on /r/minecraft. I've made one of these posts before, back in 2012 where I disappeared for a year, and I felt like I needed to make another one to thank the people who are still actively working on it today. Because now Quandary Reborn (I'm still partial to that name, sorry >.<) is now one of the top viewed and commented packs, on par with other legendary ones.
Master7432, it's always been a pleasure to have made your acquaintance. (I hope Karst considers updating the license, I've never been afraid of people using my textures for their own creative liking if most of them manage to cite their sources.)
It's hard for me to illustrate how much I've appreciated this journey... To have had this unique opportunity to lead and collaborate with so many people who wanted to continue this vision I had set out for this texture pack. And though my glory days were years ago, it always feels nice to look back on this project and the community that came out of it.
If I were to say goodbye while walking down memory lane, I picture this music playing: "All About You" by El Huervo
I don't know what will become of this chapter that I feel may be closing... and whether it will become a fond memory that we will reflect upon when we look back at where we developed as individuals. If so, I know I'm okay with that. This pack's had its time, like so many others. I just wish that I am met with the same kind of acquaintanceship in future projects as I have had with this one.
And it's almost sad for me, it's hard to part with this community we've made... I always felt at home looking back at my involvement, and I just wish a feeling like this could last, even if we all go our separate ways in the years to come. I hope we make a future that feels like home as it did for me in the past.

So will there be no more updates? I just found this pack and there's nothing like it. Just know you have people who love this project and if I was a good artist, I'd try to update it. If no more updates are planned, then I thank you for giving the Minecraft community one of the greatest texture packs ever.

Resourcepacks and mods come and go, it's a shame but that's life. Remember Quandary? Well, several people have taken it over, but then it died, and repeat. Right now it's dead again, and someone might continue this pack. We have to wait and see. We can at least be thankful for what Cpt Corn and the other guys has done so far!
The community loves this resource pack. I love this resource pack. I'm not going to stop using it just because the maintainer decided it's not worth his time anymore. So I fixed it as best I could.
If somebody really wants to try and sue me over it, they're welcome to.
For everyone else, enjoy.
Changes:
build 0:
Fixed creative inventory (survival inventory tab)
Fixed survival inventory
Fixed brewing stand (sloppy job, better fix later probably)
build 1:
Fixed the brewing stand a little better.
Fixed the "old version" error message.
build 2:
Stole attack cooldown graphics from vanilla.
Off-hand inventory slot now has a box around it in the HUD.
build 3:
Fixed enchanting table's off-by-one.
build 4:
Got an unreleased v5s.41 from karstvgl. Not all changes merged, but...
Several blocks that weren't retextured before, now are.
New sunflower textures.
New enderchest texture. (fits better with the obby texture, and no more vanilla green tint)
New attack cooldown art.
New angry particle.
New end rod particle.
Arrows added to the achievements UI texture. (no idea what they're for, but they're there now)
Reworked the brewing stand UI again. (much improved, thanks to karstvgl)
Updated enchanting table UI. (lapis icon! woo!)
Updated crafting table UI. (missing highlight on the grid is now there)
New icons in the inventory UI texture. (new potion effects, I think)
Also:
Fixed the furnace fuel slot being overlapped by the "Inventory" label. (now consistent with the brewing stand)
Thanks to karstvgl for dropping me that unreleased update.
build 5:
Fixed a mistake in the brewing stand updates from build 4.
Stole three potion effect icons from vanilla.
Lightened up the inventory slots in all container UIs due to constant complaints from everyone that "it's too dark".
Did a consistency pass while I was there, because it's basically free.
Reencoded all the textures with a better encoder and managed to smash the pack into less than 6MB. (over 1MB reduction, you're welcome everyone on a slow connection)
I think I can get the pack even smaller. I'll have to write a custom PNG encoder, but I'll probably have a go eventually.
build 6:
Fixed the dirt rotation problem.
New sand and red sand textures from the unreleased v5s.41. (from karstvgl)
build 7:
3d models are all fixed up, both in-hand, and in-inventory.
Trapdoor texture fixed. No idea how long it's been broken, but it's all good now.
I found a model editor that works in linux and doesn't suck. I do wonder when one will be built as a webpage, though. Until then, updates!
build 8:
Rebuilt the acacia door for practice. Textures are for sure right now.
Rebuilt the trap doors. Textures are again for sure right, but also, two less cuboids!
Rebuilt the torches, removing many faces and cuboids.
Rebuilt the redstone lamps (lit and unlit both) reducing the cuboid count by nearly half.
3d-ified the oak door.
3d-ified the iron door.
Fixed cullfaces for all the models.
Wrote a little script to clean up model json.
The script does three things right now:
Fixes the cullface bug in opl's Model Creator.
Strips __nonsense nodes (comments and advertisements).
Minifies the model json.
Very nearly released a broken iron trapdoor. TIL texture swapping custom models is a thing minecraft does.

I'm probably a month late in writing this comment,
but I think that with karstvgl's approval (mine is lacking since I'm frozen in time), Pegasus_Epsilon should run the pack alongside whomever else that would be interested in it. Hell, I'd be okay with whatever creative direction you care to go in as long as it fills that need for a pack that's "sprucing up the default textures," as our old ExtraNoise would put it. And if absolutely necessary, give it a new name if the old one doesn't fit anymore (as was the case for me at one time).
And I am kind of speaking to everyone, if you want to put some new coal in this old million-viewed train, then a channel should open up to make that possible. Otherwise you have my permission to rename it Corpse Craft.

I concur! And I'd be willing to help out as well.... though, I'd probably only contribute so little due to laziness (and I'll be getting a full time job soon). Adding to the laziness part, I still haven't actually studied the coterie textures yet I'll get to that... eventually.
Seems I found an issue with the connected textures feature using Coterie Redux V9. It might be caused by the fact that this is being used on 1.10.2, or maybe it's caused by OptiFine 1.10.2 C3.... Any ideas?
