It probably appears to increase with this texture pack but it probably just looks better since there's less small details jumping around everywhere from a low FPS
You can not make Minecraft faster with a texture pack.
sure u can. 8x8 textures.
Even if 8x8 textures didn't crash the game, which they do, it would not make a whit of difference in performance when Minecraft's texture footprint is already less than 1MB.
I really want this texturepack and it looks kinda like qPack...
but when ever i put the zip file in my texturepack folder and I go in game and click texturepacks it crashes
but qPack doesnt :sad.gif:
do you know why this is happening?
Instead, unzip the files. Then go to your .minecraft and your bin and where it says Minecraft.jar Say open with Winrar Archiver
Drap and drop the Txture pack files into there.

great thing this along with the optifine mod means that i can play minncraft on my note book with on gb of ram
its a common myth guys, but it has been tested that 16x texture packs give you the same FPS, regardless of the amount of detail. the game still draws each individual pixel, it doesnt combine the parts that are the same color. If you want more FPS from a texture pack, than use optifine or the HD patcher and a lower resolution texture pack (8x,6x,4x, etc.)

I like how you say "would not" instead of "does not"
Just goes to show you haven't tried it and have no proof. The fact that it does exactly what you claim it doesn't is proof alone you're wrong.
