firstly,
I Love Your Texture Pack As It Makes The Mine Craft World So Smooth And Ordered, So Much So It Has Ruined Many Other Texture Packs For Me :tongue.gif:.
I Also Enjoyed Your Obstacle Course As It Was Challenging But Not Impossible, Whilst Improving My Jumping Skills Which I Am Very Grateful For.
However, Though I Appreciate The Work You Have Done On Making The Wolves Look Like Foxes, In My Opinion, They Just Seem Out Of Place In Your Texture Pack And Not As Smooth And Aesthetically Pleasing.
Feel Free To Disregard My Criticism,as This Is Your Pack, I Only Intend It To Be Constructive In So Much As You Can Improve The Aesthetics Of The Pack.
What Is It Specifically About The Wolves? They Aren't A Whole Lot Different From Other Mobs. I Made Them Orange Because If It Was White, It Might Be Confused With Sheep.
Maybe It Would Look Better If I Made A "new Grid" For The Mobs. I Just Haven't Done It Yet Because Mob Skins Don't Actually Form A Grid And It Would Be Hard To Skin Them Because Of The Way Textures Wrap Around Mobs.
I Think It Has Something To Do With The Earthen Palette Of Minecraft And Whilst The Orange Does Work On Snowy Terrain It Comes Across A Little Violently When It Is Compared To The Grass. I Think If The Colour Was Made Darker, To More Of A Red Brown Orange As Apposed To What I Would Call Now A Yellow Brown Orange.
Another Point Which I Know You Have Been Asked To Address And Have Knocked Back Was Putting Numbers In The Inventory Slots. I Have Tried To Come Up With A Solution That Fitted The User Who Suggested It Needs However I Too Found No Viable Way Of Making It Aesthetically Pleasing And Obvious What Number It Was. There Is Something Along These Lines However That I Would Like You To Do Which Would Be Largely Beneficial To All Players. As You May Know:
"a Large Chest Is Essentially Two Small Chests Which Can Be Opened Simultaneously; The Top Three Rows Of Slots Correspond To The Eastern Or Northern Chest Block And The Bottom Three To The Southern Or Western Chest Block, And If One Of The Chest Blocks Is Destroyed The Corresponding Set Of Items Will Be Dropped And The Remaining Part Will Continue To Function As A Small Chest. "
I Propose That You Possibly Add A Label Down The Side Of The Chest Panel That Says It Is The Northeastern Or The Southwestern As This Can Be Valuable Information When Moving Chests.
I Appreciate That You Have Replied In Such A Prompt And Polite Fashion To Criticism Of Your Work
The Second Praise I Have For You Is The Changes You Have Made To The Objects Whilst They Are In The Inventory I Have (Obviously As How Else Would I Have The Wolf Texture) Updated My Version Of Your Texture Pack And The Diamond Texture Particularly Caught My Eye For Being Aesthetically Pleasing.
Lastly The New Grid Adds A Beveled Effect Which I Quite Frankly Love.
I Was Going To Mention Something Else Which Has Slipped My Mind At The Moment But When I Am Prompted To Remember I Will Post It.
I Hope This Has Been Informative And Of Use To You.
*sigh* and something went wrong with my spell check

ETA on 1.5 texture update? this pack adds about 10FPS to my game, LOVE it, keep up the great work.
Side grass is working and I'm using placeholders for everything else. It's compatible now but it should take me less than a week for me to retexture everything.
I hope you know that simple textures don't increase FPS, it's all about how large the image is. And I only resized a few images so the FPS gain should be quite small.
v40 - 04/20/11
Updated for 1.5. I may change the new textures in the future, they don't look very good.
Also, changed all mob skins in New Grid to match the blocks.
Some of the mob textures might be a bit off but I'm waiting for the Single Player Commands update to test them.
Ok, I just added custom water/lava textures to terrain.png. I haven't tested them though. Can anyone tell me how? I hardly know anything about HD patchers. Also, are there any other textures I removed but shouldn't have?
Hey, would it be possible to change the doors back to how they were previously? I loved being able to see out the top and bottom of them, if not i understand. and i love your pack and will keep using it either way!

Cheers
Small update.
Lightstone was bothering me for a long time, but I finally got it looking good. Also changed the pack.png.
If anyone knows how I can get a generated icon like this but with a custom grass texture, let me know and I'll use it for the pack.png.
Also, got a video in the OP thanks to LzyFth.

While you're waiting, check out these old pictures I dug up from version 1.0!

Best Skin 16px
I wish I could, but the button uses the same texture as stone :/
Did you use a patcher? If so, which one?
It is likely because I deleted the water and lava textures from the terrain.png and for some reason you're game is looking there for water and lava.
Probably MCPatcher HD fix 2.0 beta4, as I got the same when having that installed.
No, that won't fix it.
I think the best thing to do is for Thinkr add the water and lava back to terrain.png.
I have experienced weather with the v41 pack.
I like the version v30, I'm used to it. In my opinion it is more convenient than v40. I added a GUI from another texture pack
