Features:
■ Simple textures
■ Cleaner GUI
■ Borders around every block
■ Sun, moon and clouds point in the direction they are going
■ Ore and clay is much more visible
■ Wheat turns gold when grown
■ Many more things
Actually, the goal of this pack is not simplicity but visibility. Simple textures are just a part of the equation.
Looks nearly exactly the same as the other simple pack...
Eh, read through his list of features, and actually try it out for yourself.
It actually *does* have a focus on practical, useful things that other simple packs might not have.
Many packs have the last stage of wheat looking virtually the same as other stages.
Many packs don't show the direction of the sun/moon.
Many packs don't distinguish between clay and regular stone very well.
Many packs don't have clear progress bars when mining materials.
This texture pack does a lot of practical stuff other packs don't - that's really what makes it stand out from other "simple" texture packs.
The last stage of wheat and the clay are actually pet peeves of mine - I don't like harvesting wheat while it's not ready, and finding clay can be a royal pain with some texture packs (and you can thank the default texture pack for starting the trend of making clay look like stone).
. . . and FYI, a lot of the "simple" pack authors will tell you that when it comes to making simple textures, detail matters. A lot of the "simple" packs may appear similar in many ways, but you choose simple packs based on the details, not just on the 10,000 foot picture.

They aren't supposed to look pretty, just have maximum visibility.
EDIT:
Updated mobs, more recent picture here - http://i.imgur.com/4Lpwv.png
Mobs are now updated and those pictures are very outdated.

Updated to v1.7, 1.8
Changed multiple things, and the pack is now 30% smaller, thanks to this.
Yes, I made the hoe backwards to better distinguish from the axe.
It seems like im hitting the dirt with a stick, not a hoe
Oh, whoops. I didn't think of what it would look like in hand. I'll fix it asap.
EDIT: All fixed.
Pretty much the only thing I like about this is how natural blocks, excluding ore, look.
Repeat daily for confidence boost.
