Hi ShortStuf :smile.gif:
I signed up here so I could tell you how much I love your texture pack! I've been using it for awhile now and it makes such a difference! Cheers! :smile.gif::)
Very nice texture pack!
I love the Plain design. The HD textures are just too flashy for me. It takes away the effect of the plain design of the regular minecraft look.
I never understood installation. What's that Win thing everyone uses to load it onto there? I don't think my computer has that. [EDIT] Seriously, I can't figure this out. I downloaded WinRAR, but can't figure out how to open anything with it. This DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.
Hey, i really love your texture pack and i commend you for your hard work, though i stopped using it after i saw that the character looks like a toothless hick...
I don't use Winrar or any of that other stuff, and i'm not comfortable trying to fix this by myself. So what i'm trying to say is: Improve the character design from the original, or leave it alone; don't damage the appeal of your great texture pack.
Honestly, i like both yours and the default textures. My ideal texture pack would be one with nothing edited except the glass. If the glass didn't have the specs all over it, it would be awesome.
Haha, I've been thinking about changing him.. he definitely looks quite dorky and having a bunch of him running around can be pretty terrible! I'll consider redoing the character for the next update.

Have you changed the wolf yet because I just look at the update you did and they look the same.
Thanks
~Caboose
The wolf has definitely been added in and updated as of the last update.

Man, this texture pack is just amazing. I love everything about it, especially the ore's.
Thing is, I feel like the default water kinda clashes with the tasty textures around it.
So yeah, if you ever get the time, I think that coming up with some custom water
textures, and possibly lava, would be the next step forward.
Awesome work though.
I'm glad you like it. I do think the water and lava are a major next step, but I'm still waiting on full support from notch. I suppose I could eventually make both and have them for people to use if they'd like somewhere down the line..

My only complaint with this pack is that leaf blocks are too solid and it's hard to tell when there's wood inside.
I'll probably tweak that little aspect of the pack to suit my own needs. Really great, though!
I've gotten this complaint quite a lot, and I'm considering trying some new things with the leaves.

Heads-up to texture packers: Slot (15, 3) is now spruce sapling and slot (15, 4) is birch sapling (counting coords from 0)
So you can have the texturepack ready for 1.5 when its released
Interesting! Thanks for the heads up.

You actually don't need to have winrar at all to install a texture pack. As I show in my video on the main post, just download the zip file, open minecraft, go to the texture packs section, click 'open folder'. That'll bring you to the texture packs folder, now just throw the entire .zip file into that folder, you don't need to extract the zip or anything. Then go back into minecraft, open up the texture packs section and select the newly added texture pack and play the game :biggrin.gif:!
I'm looking forward to 1.5, it seems I'll have my work cut out for me with this one!
I added a donate button to the main page in case anyone's feeling generous. It's in no way necessary, but I've gotten a few PMs about it so I figured if someone wants to buy me a drink.. why not :biggrin.gif:
It's a really nice "clean" pack but I can't stand the cobblestone texture... the idea is good but it looks flat and I don't like it the way it is.
I love my cobblestone, so I double it'll ever be significantly changed :biggrin.gif:

when i download it it doesnt download as a .zip file? :/
If you save the file, it should download as a zip file, maybe you are doing "open" instead of "Save".. or you're on a mac, which does this automatically or something. The zip should be wherever you downloaded it to.

Maybe he need to add the zip file? or the zip file is standing somewhere else?
Whatver,
Really nice texture pack! use it alot and hope that you will update it in so many versions there will be =P
PS: Could you make a green bed? =P I really like green beds xD
I try to stick relatively close to the original color scheme, but maybe notch will eventually add bed customization.. otherwise I can always change the color on the bed and post the customized terrain.png (or anyone else can too)

I'm trying to mess with things, how do you make "clear" textures like glass? My client shows them as white boxes.. =/
The windows and such should be clear.. I'd guess there's either a mod you are using which is conflicting, such as a high res mod, or otherwise, or your graphics card doesn't support that kind of texture, or something. Or if you are trying to change the texture or make your own texture pack, and that's what you are referencing, you aren't saving the terrain.png with alpha(transparency) preserved, or are using a program which doesn't support it.
You should change the side texture of sandstone to that of the bottom; it tiles alot better:
Just my thoughts. Also, could you make a texture for the Piston mod? I'm definitley not the only one that uses it, and it doesn't fit in perfectly enough with this pack. Thanks!
I'll probably tweak that little aspect of the pack to suit my own needs. Really great, though!
