In this topic: People periodically bugging me for a 1.4.4 update, not realizing that all that was missing was a single damn icon of a disc that few people will even see outside of creative. Not to mention an icon that I already posted if they took a second to look.
Oh, and the pack's been updated...
...with a bit more than just the stupid little disc icon. (See Patch Notes for details.) Patience is a good thing.
Patience indeed goes a long way. :3

Do texture packs require a newer version for newer patches of Minecraft? Or do they work no matter what so long as no new content is added (so you must customize the texture on those new items or blocks)..?

I'm just wondering if this will work with 1.4.2
In general these textures support that 1.4.2 and 1.4.4.
Great work as always.
I especially like the creepers. But it seems that creeper12 does not spawn or atleast he is not listed in the properties file.
And another question: What's the difference between the two "steve" creepers?
Whoops. I simply forgot to remove 51-58 (Ignore them). Randomobs seems to only support 50 mobs tops. I thought the cap had been raised awhile back, but I guess I was wrong. There's duplicates because I originally designed 58 creepers and had them all well-organized on a spreadsheet for which biomes they belonged to. When I ran into the mob cap, I had to delete 8 skins (Went by ones that looked too similar mostly). After deleting those skins 51-58 were filled into the slots that the deleted skins were added. My organization got all screwed up. It's amazing I only left one skin out in the properties files. Anyway creeper 12 was made for the mountain biome, so just change the first line in creeper.properties to read:
Out of all of the different and ... unique.. packs out there, this is the one I love the best. It's not overcrowded with texture, it blends well, it works together. SO many "realistic" packs get too busy with their textures, and I end up not seeing what should be sstanding out, (pun intended.) They don't have the feeling of space and one-ness that yours does. I aplaud you with all of my strength! I love it, and everything I see in it! Best of all, I love that you keep up with the updates, even with your busy schedule. It tells me that you care for what people think of your excellent work, even if they are a little impatient.
Thank you, Misa, for being the epic person you are! Please don't leave us anytime soon! <3
Just popping in to drop a note on the new creepers and biome mobs:
Their designs and biome assignments are not final so don't get too attached to them or too hung up on their failings. I'm redoing all of them from scratch (again) with more varied and biome-fitting design patterns. Their general looks will also be slightly improved overall with better coloring to match the biomes they're located in. And I'm hoping to get more than 50 creepers working by the time I'm done.
Many of the new biome mob stuff included in this last patch was more of an experiment than anything. As I did not request this feature myself, adapting my pack to make use of it requires a lot of rebuilding of my randomobs roster. I'll be working on adapting it for other mobs in the future, but it'll likely be a pretty slow process (Especially with the holidays). Please try not to bug me about it as I'm not even sure what the extent of this pack's usage of this feature will be yet. I will however be open to ideas for actual randomobs skins. I'm looking to add new cameo/joke and biome-based randomobs, but they're not always easy to think up alone. Just make sure you can justify your suggestion to fit with the current scheme I've been using for existing Randomobs.

The big reason I even made that post was so I wouldn't get posts asking about stuff like this. Have some damn patience. Wait for the next patch when the creepers will be finalized and then you can ask away about their designs.
I've never really used this pack.. Because of the incompatibility with optifine (well, the various features i would be missing out on), but i want to give it another try because my computer is moody and sometimes runs minecraft good and sometimes doesn't.
Err, I run this texture pack perfectly fine with Optifine. I just don't use the glass features, and am not worried that water appears white in BC tanks/tubes.
It's an amazing pack, just because Optifine doesn't work with a small % of what this texture pack can do, doesn't mean you should abandon it all.
I personally cannot play minecraft without this texture pack.
Love your work Misa, Ive been using your pack as a template ever since I started texturing, Always in awe of what you do.
I'm releasing my new pack on Dec 1st Called Rise of Tredonia. I'd love it if you could check it out, I've even listed you and a few other Texture Artists as my influences.
So thanks for all you do! and please Never stop doing it!

Been a while since I've updated. Funny, of all the great changes to the textures, somehow I just adore the new fishies above all else.
Thanks for top notch work, Misa!
Originally I did do the Steve creeper with my player skin, but it was too creepy to look at for even myself--especially when I cut out the eyeholes. Also the face looked too realistic for a makeshift paper costume. I went with the vanilla skin because it makes more sense as something you could hand-make a paper costume out of. That creeper is intended to be more of a joke than super deceptive or camouflaged.
On that note I'm up to 70 working creepers (including one that required an animation) on the new roster and there'll be plenty of really nasty camouflaged ones to worry about. And by that I don't mean the ones with military camo prints. I've run into a few "holy shit" moments during tests with wooden creepers in forests. In some cases they're practically invisible until they move.
Regarding the military camo ones, they have been completely redesigned to look like one of the normal biome creepers, only they're wearing a sleeveless camouflaged field jacket with a hood. Some of them actually do blend in pretty well. The concept behind them is also intended to be more of a joke than actual camouflage though--as though they're trying too hard to effectively creep.
Patience indeed goes a long way. :3

Thanks for top notch work, Misa! Remember this has two dimensions, so 64/2x64/2 leaves one fourth of the original area.
This game is so oreing.
Very nice. Well done!
Almost fooled me for a second, then I remembered I was playing in SSP
