Forewarning: No, I am NOT about to stack on yet another "support the mods I like personally!" request.
Anyway, I've been fiddling with some new mods (see why I wanted that forewarning there?), including Nandonalt's trees and DrZhark's Mo Creatures, as well as the Syrup's Fancypack. Many of these use custom textures, as well as custom inventory icons. These work fine when running the game 'vanilla', despite not modifying/overwriting any existing graphics. But they don't seem to work with a custom texture pack. My question is, why? And is there a way to get Minecraft to properly "grab" these graphical resources to force compatibility with Misa's pack (or any other)? It just rather puzzles me, considering they don't interact with the materials a texture pack alters as far as I can tell.
Could it be possible that you patched with the old MCPactcher? Get the new one! MCPatcher
You have to use the Latest Version of MCPacther... Try again, he updatet it a few days ago...
Ahh, got it. I was relying on the texture support from Optifog/Optimine (so I wouldn't have to leave out any functionality due to its incompatibilities with mcpatcher). I'll give that a shot. Thanks a bunch for the help. Getting support for these is worth some minor functionality loss.
Edit/update: And yep! Your advice made it work out just fine. Thanks again!
I was going to do a big response post, but by the time I got finished typing out a bunch of responses I noticed other people had already made posts answering these so I deleted any of my responses that had already been done. By the time I reached the end of my responses, only one hadn't been responded to by someone else, so here's that!

I would be very happy if you would include support for the Better than wolfs-mod. It alters gameplay though but the author pays lots of attention to keep peoples save games intact and to stick to the "minecraft feeling".
It requires Modloader, that's another criteria that eliminates possible candidates of mods for me to provide support for. Modloader doesn't always play well with MCPatcher or other drag-and-drop mods that I do support. It's also just one more thing to install when installing mods, so yeah.. "Modloader required" = Instant turn-off for me. I do appreciate the requests for mod support. I possibly would've never found out about WildGrass, Dynamic Lights or Randomobs had someone not pointed them out to me - All of which I can no longer play the game without. So yeah, suggestions good. Just try to keep it within these criteria:
-Doesn't alter gameplay. (Or if it does, does so in a balanced or negligible way.)
-Doesn't add new entities or anything that'll affect saves when uninstalled.
-Doesn't require the dreaded Modloader or other mods that need to be installed for this mod to work.
I haven't been very active lately partly due to a shakey Internet connection, but yeah, thought I'd pop in to make it known that I'm still alive.
Did you bother to check it with the criteria I just posted? :/
-Doesn't alter gameplay. (Or if it does, does so in a balanced or negligible way.) Fails to meet criteria.(This mod alters gameplay by adding new mobs and items to the game.)
-Doesn't add new entities or anything that'll affect saves when uninstalled. Fails to meet criteria. (New items and crafting recipes that use new entities.)
-Doesn't require the dreaded Modloader or other mods that need to be installed for this mod to work. Fails to meet criteria. (Requires Modloader and audio mod.)
Hey Misa, I am just one of the many people on here who made an account just to say thank you for this texture pack.
I had been trying to get my wife to play this game for a month when i finally started messing with texture packs.
Yours was the clear winner and as soon as my wife saw me playing with your pack she started playing as well.
Now were both addicted Thanks Misa

Can you possibly look into how the GUI cursor for aiming is displayed, pre mcpatcher 2.0, it showed correctly at all resolutions except for the crazy small ones, now when I pick the normal size the cursor goes like 1/3 squished on the left side and the right side is normal sized.
I like the old obsidian better than the wrinkled one currently in use. The new one has spoiled my snow/obsidian checkered marble look in a save of mine.
Hmmm, she's the first female to make an ENTIRE texture pack, (terrain, armors, items, everything, etc). Jeezus guys, quit slacking off, you just got your a***es whipped by a girl, ouch.
Lolz, laterz.
LOL,:biggrin.gif: I say it's about time! Props @ Misa for the excellent work! Keep on moddin' and we'll keep on DL'n! :wink.gif:
Of course it would, as the original game was not meant for such powerful textures on the intended system(s) it was programed for, you will see this a lot with texture-mods. It's always best to DL BIG texture mods if you have an equally powerful GPU in order to run it!
PLEASE PLEASE REPLY I FOUND A 32X32 FOR THIS BUT IT IS OUTDATED AND I CANNOT FIND THE FOURM FOR IT. I REALLY LOVE THIS TEXTURE PACK IN 64X64 BUT MY COMPUTER CANT RUN IT, IT IS LAGGY WITCH IS DUMB BECAUSE MY COMPUTER IS NEW, ANYWAYS I REALLY WANT IT BUT FOR THE 32X32 BUT IT NEEDS TO BE UPDATED, IS IT UPDATED AND WHERE I GOT IT JUST DID NOT PUT A NEW LINK!!??!?!?!

You must have a crap PC, don't blame it on one of the best texture packs of all time.
Love this texture pack.
I just don't like the mob skind, a bit tooooo realistic.
