that is some really nice stuff, if biomes used different texture.png, i would combine this with my current one
I have no idea how biomes is gonna work but hopefully its still totally mod-able after the update.
I plan to re-texture every single biomes type to match my current theme.
EDIT : On a side note I can't play minecraft till the update because I'm too excited..
I want to see and use the new features so badly that the old stuff is boring. Though once I've tried it all out I'll be able to play normally again.
This sorta thing happens to me a lot with games =P
EDIT 2: Aquamarine water! Yays!
I'm not sure why things turn purple in the distance though.. (EDIT: I fixed purple haze refresh if you still see it in the picture)
I really like my water to be transparent so I wont take advice to make it darker hahahaha =P
My first post, which I'd like to use to congratulate you on a wonderful texture pack. I so prefer the lighter colours as they provide a feeling of openness and not the doom and gloom of some other packs.
If I may, a couple of comments. As one other poster mentioned, I'm not very keen on the glass. i have a lot of glass in my buildings and, for me at least, it needs to be clear. It's not a major problem, I'll modify the png to suit my needs.
Second. Will you be adding animated water? I love the colour but it cry's out for animation.
Thank you again and I look forward to future updates.

Well it is animated but I can see how with slightly different monitor settings the contrast would make it impossible to see, I'll experiment a bit with it.
I might redo the glass to have less in the center but I'll still do a bit of designs around the edges.
EDIT: Oh oh oh oh and thanks for the great feedback I love to hear when people like my work!
I didn't actually realize I had used all lighter colours until most the textures were done it sort of just happened.
Also I'm itching to update this thread with every new texture I make as I go but I'm worried about getting banned for double posting frequently... Is it alright if I let my compulsiveness take hold of me? or is it shunned upon?
First of all I think your texture pack is stunning! I actually preffered the original windows. Reminds me of egypt, so if there was some egyptian wall art it would be perfect.
Quick question I tried applying the texture pack and it kind of crashed my minecraft! Luckily i'd already made a copy of the bin folder. Is this because my computer cant handle it do you think? ( it can handle minecraft fine and some of the other texture pack )
While HD packs aren't my thing (32x32 will be the highest I go), I can always appreciate the time and artistic effort put into these packs. I've seen the other "desert-y" packs, but this one is truly beautiful.
I, like some others, really liked the older glass (with the designs), and thought it felt Middle Eastern. But I can understand that, with buildings made from glass, such a pattern could get old/troublesome/take away from other things.
Also, as some others have said (and I certainly will not claim to be any type of expert on this), I think the edges of some of your blocks could be a bit softer to blend better. However, in the large pic you posted (of your old base, to show the various blocks mixing and matching from afar) everything looked really well together. I love the color palette you've chosen, especially the water color.
I can tell you've put care into this pack, and I wish you tons of luck finishing it! Also, I'm hoping what a previous commenter said (about HD textures not being usable after the update) was just a rumor. I'm personally running Glimmar's Steampunk tex pack, and I know many were clamoring for yours, and it would be such a shame for some of these amazing HD texture packs to be unusable (and all that time wasted!).
That looks very good! Great work. It really reminds me of a desert environment.
I personally wouldnt use it, just because it wouldn't fit my building, but its awesome!

Just Trying out the texture pack on my world
I really like these textures, and even though the world I used these on was made as a very green, forrested world I think it works really well, and if you started again but used a lot of sand and went about building differently, it could look even better!
That's awesome! great to see someone finally use it, even if its unfinished! =D
and I redid planks (again) and I'm still not sure about them....
The bricks are more marble like then sandstone (as suggested by a fellow miner) because I figured my cobblestone already looked like sandstone blocks.
Anyway tell me what you guys think!
(IGNORE FIRST IMAGE BRICKS UPDATED BRICK IN SECOND PICTURE)
I made the bricks grout more defined!
Here is just an image of an old old base I have using my texture pack. Its was a good test for mixed textures.
EDIT: I'm so proud of my leaves I took 2 pictures!
They are nicely transparent in thin layers and turn decently opaque in thicker areas.

Well you will need this to try it out....
Lets just call this the beta release. Half of the textures aren't done and belong to someone else =P
Laterz.

oh yeh... the tile breaking thing isn't mine >.<
I think I made a list in my first post listing what I have done so far. The rest belongs to someone else.
