Well, friend, it is generally not allowed to share it somewhere as far as I know. The official place to get the pack is this forum branch. However you could give a link on your website for Glimmars original post here.
Still by far my favorite texture pack - and I, for one, would love to see it updated for 1.9.
I hear you on family - my good lady and I were married last June, still adjusting to it. (Married twice, if you count the handfasting. )
It still feels strange, but we spend a whole lot of time in each others pockets.
The Auld Grump
Hiya, Auld Grump.
First my hearty congrats on getting married and my best wishes for a long and happy life together. My better half is my best friend and soulmate, if that doesn't sound too soppy for these forums, so the past year, with some serious medical scares, and this past month her having a knee replacement op (suffers from arthritis amongst other things, from a young age), has made 2015/16 a bit of an Annus horribilis (horrible year) for us.
Well good news on the updating front, as I'm currently rather enjoying getting to grips with being able to randomize blocks since 1.8. Also, it was nice to see that 1.9 didn't break my big jukebox music/soundscape add-on pack. As mentioned above, I'm concentrating on seeing how much I can convert the MCPatcher side of things to standard MC whilst bemoaning the loss of things like Better Skies, animated guis and random mobs, etc.
There'll be a new more rounded 128x clock and compass, (as those were broken into individual textures in 1.9) higher res boats (without oars though as they just look silly to me - if I was clever enough I'd love to go back to having little paddle wheels on the side, but I have no experience of whether 'entities' like boats can be edited and I'm certainly not clever enough to mess with even simple code). There'll be a turn of the century blow dart gun - had to drop the loud 'bang' sound I'd created as the bow sample sound seems to be shared with the casting action of the fishing rod. New glass, new 64x random bookcase textures. Also fixed the font for non-MCPatcher use - didn't realise it was so simple to do! All the guis need editing so the new font fits in and as per usual Mojang/Microsoft have fiddled with some guis and changed their structure which means a lot of extra work for me. Still have stuff for 1.8 to do before trying my hand at the new 1.9 blocks and items. Also changes to some other blocks and items.
Having greatly enjoyed using the Feed the Beast Infinity pack I've also been tinkering with some textures for some of the included mods, not on the scale of the offerings by Megistus, but they might be of use if I include what I've done in the next update.
So after panicking about all the changes to existing stuff in the pack, I'm actually rather pleased with the changes in 1.9 (eg. I love the way glass panes can be made into vertical 'rods').
Mind you there is a lot to do so it'll be steady as she goes, and as usual I leave it so long between updates that updating my OP, making vids and uploading to Curse seems like I'm re-translating the Rosetta stone!
The positive thing is I'm rather enjoying editing stuff again, but negatively speaking I still have very little time with work and everything else around the house.
Well, friend, it is generally not allowed to share it somewhere as far as I know. The official place to get the pack is this forum branch. However you could give a link on your website for Glimmars original post here.
It would be excellent if you could feature the pack on your website and have a link back to the first page of this thread - just don't re-distribute the pack via your website. Feel free to use any pics or vids from my original post on page 1, so long as you're directing folk back here.
Once again thank you for posting and I'm very glad you like my 'vintage' pack enough to want to feature it.
Sadly, redstone dust as pipes seems to be totally nerfed for this pack!
My brass pipes can now only exist in 1.9 if I switch them from 'overlay' mode, instead using the more limited 1.9 overlay mode for the pulsing red glow. However, the pipes themselves are now hard-coded as brilliant red and even if I could change the hard-coded red colour, the way the north, south and centre parts of the pipe are overlaid means the various layers flicker/glitch at the joints as you move around, rendering it totally unsatisfactory.
Until someone comes up with a solution to the glitching and hardwired color, the only way forward for me for 1.9 is to be less individually creative, fall in line with the norm, and make redstone dust exactly that - crystalline dust! Very sad
Fixed a lot of the gui textures and particles last night and nearly finished up on my 128x new compass. All the different types of wood boats will take a while to complete though. Also didn't realize how much the command block/s have changed...phew! Lots of work there!
Just found out that Optifine seems to work perfectly well with Glimmar's Steampunk. Haven't checked everything of course, but connected textures, animated GUIs, random mobs, Better Skies, etc, etc all work really well. Made my day!
I will still work as best I can to add some randomness to the pack for non-MCPatcher/Optifine use, but this does mean the pressure to do that is alleviated and I can concentrate more fully on 1.9 changes and other additions. I'm just enjoying and familiarising myself with all the features of Optifine at the mo and having a grand time!
Sadly, brass redstone dust pipes are still a thing of the past for 1.9 use unless Mojang changes things.
Of course I will need to change my exclusive MCPatcher recommendations in the OP.
I'm also tinkering with the use of ShadowPlay (using my nvidia GPU) for better lag free videos.
Optifine always worked well with your texture pack!
I started using it back in 1.4.7, to give my game a power-boost in form of FPS while having lots of mods. Then, I've done the same, but with vanilla - and it was good - all texture-pack things worked as they meant to work.
As far as I know, Optifine has all the features MCpatcher has, but it improves options section, giving you the powers of configuration. And it changes a rendering somehow to boost performance.
Glad to hear that you have the time to enjoy the creative process!
I should listen to you good folk more often. I just need to familiarize myself with all the options...what works and what doesn't, but even I'm noticing a boost in performance this time.

Well, having played with the most excellent 'Norzeteus Space' pack for the best part of two days...pretending it was Christmas with lots of new toys and gadgets to discover, I find Norzeteus has indeed overcome the 'overlay' problem I thought would be impossible to fix. Woohoo!
I've tinkered with my textures and the genius 'Norzeteus Code' and managed to get a most satisfactory fully working redstone pipe again...if only i could understand .json instructions!
I still spent a day making a rather nice traditional animated redstone dust that I quite like, but I think brass pipes would still look better.
I am wishing that I had never updated to Minecraft 1.9 - vanilla MC just looks wrong!
Ye gods and little fishies, I miss seeing your textures!
The Auld Grump
Thank you, both.
Sorry about the long delay on updating!
I will endeavor to get most things repaired and working and perhaps upload an interim pack before trying to finish absolutely everything for 1.9. I well understand your frustration, AuldGrump. Mojang excelled themselves in the number of textures that were changed and expanded, aside from all the new additions.

Good thing your updating it though, the map I'm creating will be for 1.9. It's called the "Mechanical Chicken" it's a adventure map, this is the summary so far: There was a very dangerous weapon meaning to destroy the moon, the inventor realized what he built. He took it apart and built the parts into Mechanical animals, such as the Mechanical Chicken containing the first part. Then he scattered the animals through out the world, the Mechanical Chicken is some where in the old west near a small town called "Squidston". Your mission is to find that chicken!
I hope it sounds interesting. I also hope I won't lose my inspiration and quit. I'm still working on it and I don't know when it'll be done. But when it is done, I'll recommend this texture pack.

Megistus, Vermillion, Overjay, RadiumBlue and all the interest and kind compliments and support from others, both regular visitors and casual acquaintances, you are all amazing. Seriously, guys, I've just been looking back through the thread and am only now beginning to realize what a cool bunch you all are!
Megistus, Vermillion, Overjay...I am totally blown away by all the work you've put in by way of supporting textures...so much!!! And they are all of amazing quality. Thank you so much for keeping the interest going in the old pack and for all your efforts. I'd totally missed the 'chisel' contribution, Vermillion, that is a vast mod! Megistus, the Thaumcraft project looks awesome! After a winter of mucking about with FTB and wishing I had time to support Chisel and Thaumcraft...lo and behold you two pull off multiple miracles.
Anyways, thank you one and all.
When I see such dedication and support I wish I could do more, but I'm not sure I can match the scale of the above efforts now, however I have been hard at work the past week or two when able and at last I've got some pics to show off new stuff building up in the GSv.18 update. Just uploading and arranging in an Imgur album at the mo. I just wanted to pass on my thanks first to everyone before I go around showing off my own meager contributions.
Hang on in there...
Here's one pic to wet your appetite while I figure out how to make Imgur albums and use the forum editor again!
Right click and open the image in a new tab, or drag the pic to the desktop, if you want to look at things in more detail. There's probably about 25 out of 44 different textures on view in this pic. Just my little experiment with randomness in .json files.
My my, the old man returns....hmmm i mean me not you, or do i? I forget I'm old like you you see. Keeping up so far? I doubt it, excuse this rambling old fart.
Now where was I?
AH YES....errrrm, so how the devil are you good sir long time no see/speak?
Are you going to be tackling the wonders of 1.9 and all the things Mojang likes to change just for shits and giggles??
They tease us with this big Ice cream of updated Minecrafty goodness with lashings of chocolate sprinkles but unbeknownst to us beneath the surface lurks danger, headaches and the hellish sounds of "WHY WONT THIS WORK CURSE YOU MOJANG!!"
I love 1.9 its a PEACH!:p <---please read in your head with FULL sarcasm mode activated

Wow!
I thoroughly enjoyed it...absolutely enjoyed it...you have a great and humorously infectious style, Mr BloodveinHD!
Many thanks for the time and effort you put into making it and thank you, thank you, for using Optifine/MCPatcher to show off all the extra textures.
I shall definitely be putting this in my OP.
