Got to say I adore using this pack. Everything just looks great. I did however size the images down to 16x16 since I don't think my laptop would handle them in HD well. The style shows through well nonetheless.
I do have one problem though, and I think I must have just done something wrong. Everything has changed and works but the water. It still is the default look, as is lava. Even using a customized painterly pack before the lava and water remained default.
What am I doing wrong?
It has to do with the way Minecraft animates lava. Try using the MC Patcher listed in the first post. You can still use your 16x16 packs, but it should add the new water. Also, make sure to resize the custom water and lava image in the root of the animal crafting zip file.
I lovelovelove this texture pack, my only complaint is there's only a tiny dot for the crosshairs. It makes it rather awkward to play as I can't see what I'm aiming at.
Yay! I'm excited. It sure is a LOT though, right? What will you be using for the enchantment table and the alchemy stuff? :biggrin.gif:
To be honest, I've been looking through AC furniture and can't really find anything that fits, so I'm thinking of just making them in the AC style. Like I did with the nether blocks.
Will you change some of the older blocks? To make them fit more? For example the fences are white on animal crossing? And bedrock/obsidian as the walls on teh outskirts of animal crossing? Perhaps some new paintings would be cool!
How about Gyroids? They could be something related to crafting perhaps http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Gyroid_(furniture)
The smooth stone is based on the outer walls, or at least as close to them as I could get in a small repeating pattern. Fences, unfortunately, use whatever wood texture you have, so to make white fences, all wood would have to be white. I do need to add some paintings though, you're right!
I wanted to start off by saying that I absolutely love this. It fits minecraft really, really well. Secondly, I love this enough to create (as close as I can) matching textures for other mods I've got downloaded.
Do you suppose you could include the second stage of a tree sprout? It would work really well for a small, berry-bearing bush if I add the strawberry bits off the cake block for the berries.

That's not really relevant to be honest. If you have 1.8.1, this will work, it will just ignore the blocks that aren't part of 1.8.1

This would be complete with gui edits that I'm thinking about doing myself :biggrin.gif:

I love Animal Crossing, and this really made my day!

Maybe even the different flower shapes?
Make sure you're using both Minecraft Patcher and the HD Texture support that comes with it.
