Yea it seems you're missing cow hide (below uncooked meat, left of the sattle).
Gotta say at first I wasn't sure about this pack because I'm too used to using Doku's RPG or Eld's and it seemed a bit too colourful for my taste, but once I used it ingame it was beautiful, really changes the feel of the game, thanks for the hard work!

Exactly how I felt. I've used Mixcraft, SMP Realistic 2, Painterly, and Doku's -- all very nice, but this one totally changes the feel of the game, I love it, just so clean.
Although, I still wouldn't mind the wood to be slightly darker, I confuse it with the sand sometimes.
I'm coming around to the wood being darker. A lot of people want it. I'll just provide alternatives. :smile.gif:
I felt like playing a lot of the dark, realistic packs made the game too serious. The leaping pigs and chickens and sheeps and blocks and humor just seemed out of place with a serious setting. The desaturated hues kind of land on you like a ton of bricks. I felt as if I HAD to make an alternative. I don't begrudge the others, (I love Eld's pack) I just think a good balance is something worth attaining.

I'm going to check on the leather armor now, doh!
It's not the armor that's missing. It's the cow hide. The stuff that drops from cows when you kill them.
I've never played it, but when it was first released I remember reading about it and the controversy surrounding its art style at the time. I liked the expressiveness of the Link character's eyes. I do a lot of detail oriented work for my day art-job, so relaxing and pushing some clean pixels is a good diversion.
Yeah, you REALLY should consider making the wool more distinguishable a bit. Like the above user said, I confuse it with sand alot. And as everyone has said, PLEASE PLEASE make the wood darker. It doesn't have to be much, just a bit brownier and not so sandish. =P Come on man... you have to. =P Hehe. Thanks again! I went over to my buddy's house tonight. I told him about your texture pack and he refused to switch his textures (he ALWAYS wants everything to be original, etc) until he went to take a crap. Then, I switched it on him and when he came back he loved the textures/items/etc immediately. I got him on board also. =) lol.
I'm still waiting the mobs, so I can try everything . lol
But hey, aren't the bricks too..square-ish? I meant, that's ok for the red brick, but the steel and gold one...idk ;O
Speaking of choices, here're some screenshots of dark wood.
As I guessed, they go a long way towards darkening the game and I'll not be including them with the default terrain. If anyone wants to nab it, though, I'll be updating the textures with dark wood as an alternate too, from now on. Here is the TERRAIN.PNG with dark wood.
This makes me wish that minecraft was more ambiently lit rather than directional as it is now, like a character would be equally lit over its whole surface depending on area light strength.
Currently I'm still in the games industry, but the swedish one took a hit, and grin where I was at the last time went down in flames.
I'm a hobbyist programmer though, so I'll manage to do a one man indie thing whenever I get around actually doing that.
I've been trying to learn Objective-C. I sort of assume that any good project I'll be a part of will have to be my own doing. It's slow going for me. I'm not much in the way of programming.
Frenden, I don't think you have to worry about the wood "darkening" the game. In my opinion, the wood just needed to be a little darker, or have slightly more of a brown tone to help differentiate from sand.
I thank you for the darker wood, looooove this pack!

Investigating the wood and starting MOBs tomorrow.
