under "options and extras" i saw the terrain block png, and there was a section labled alternate textures, but the png was the same as the original one, how do i change the textures to those, (the different cobblestone and iron door)

You'll have to Use Photoshop, GIMP or Paint.NET or another image editor (one that supports transparency, do NOT try to use MS Paint) to cut & paste the alternates over the top of the normal ones.

Hi there! I'm absolutely loving your texture pack as it doesn't feel too drastically different from vanilla Minecraft yet looks very ornate at the same time. Just one thing I wanted to know: Is there any way to install clouds into this texture pack? I used xau's patcher and everything ran fine, just no clouds. I saw the "Options and Extras" folder and found the cloud PNG file. I then followed the instructions on exactly how to install it, but I feel like I did something wrong- still no clouds. I'll post exactly what I did so it may be easier to see what I might've done wrong:
1) Located Mixcraft HD file and unzipped it.
2) Added the cloud PNG inside.
3) Highlighted all files (like terrain, cloud, mob, armor, etc.), zipped them, and one new file appeared as compressed as the name "gui"
4) Renamed as "Mixcraft HD" exactly without quotes.
5) Cut the file and then pasted it where the original Mixcraft HD folder was.
After that, I just simply ran xau's patcher again- still no clouds. Anything that could throw light on this solution would be great. Also, if this has been asked and solved already, sorry for the inconvenience then ^^; Oh and I'm running windows 7 if that helps.
The Clouds.PNG has to go in the "Misc" folder, where the blank one is normally located :smile.gif:

hello, i love your texture pack... been using it for about a month ago. i use the HD version, but theres some bug like things...
bricks have fire, air, and portals within the bricks...
as do the pumpkins and gold blocks.
how do i fix this?
You obviously didn't read the instructions and definitely didn't install the HD patch, like you should have.

Why is it christmas themed still??? I downloaded it and installed it and the flowers were presents and leaves had lights!!
Aaand yet another fool who hasn't read the instructions.
Honestly, people. The instructions are there for a reason!
Why is it that when i download mixcraft, it makes it so i can't play minecraft online anymore? Once i download it, i just have to open up the folder and play it from there rather than the internet?

That's interesting, there's no cloud file there. Although thanks to your comment I did do some searching around and found the blank cloud file in the environment folder. Replaced it, ran the patcher, and clouds are now in possibly the best texture pack I've used, haha. :smile.gif:

Texture packs are not working with the browser version.
There is a custom Mixcraft texture pack for in-browser gameplay in the Alternate Add-On Packs folder.
It's called Creative Mode Pack, and it has its own instructions included in the folder.
I didn't ask for diamonds to look like eggs. I like the oval SHAPE of an egg, and wish the diamond had that SHAPE, not the jewely shape it has now. That's all. see it now? The oval shape?

I knew that already... but if Koolwitak doesn't want to include your idea (don't worry, keep asking if you want to), then it's ultimately up to him. He might be amenable to including it as an alternate, but again, that's up to him. If he refuses, then you have three options: put up with it, make your own oval diamond block texture, or use a different texture pack. I mean, we can all try to convince him, but if he doesn't like the idea, then it's up to him to decide whether or not he'll accept your idea.

Ah yeah, sorry. I forgot which folder it was in. Good job having the initiative to go looking for where it should be, instead of going "U IZ WRONG! IZ NOT WORKING!" like most people here.
Is the Grassmod supported and what's the IP for the server? I'd like to play on it.
I believe he says in the OP that you must PM him for the server, so please don't post about it. It's only in order to protect the server from griefing :smile.gif:
If by Grassmod you mean either Wildgrass or BetterGrass, then yes. They're both supported.
My friend told me that you also have a non-HD Mixcraft texture pack, but my pathetic reading skills can't find it. If you do have it, then can you give me a link or a clue as to where it is, and if my friend tricked me, can you please tell me? Thanks!

its in the zip under alternates, its called mixcraft basic
Vexx, tomorrow I am just going to answer ALL of the frequently asked questions in my first post; primarily the ones about fixing the christmas edition problem and about using the alternate textures in the terrain file.
Maybe then people will read those first and stop posting them here over and over again.
Also, Version 24 downloads are now OVER NINE THOUSAND! In fact, they're over 60,000 as well! =D

No one else has mentioned that they dislike the diamond texture, so it isn't fair to change it.
Unless either I agree with a suggestion or multiple people make the same suggestion, it doesn't pass.
(The red line in the last one was added by me to highlight the issue.)
So, what's going on? I've used this texture pack for a while now on another computer, then I put Minecraft on this one, put the texture pack in, and this happens. :C
I have a really bad bug :sad.gif:. And i can't fix them..
Honestly. READ THE OP. To fix your bug, READ THE DAMN INSTRUCTIONS. I don't even know why we bother helping people like you. No offense to you personally, but there are an incredible number of people with the SAME problem as you, none of them bother reading the OP or the instructions. NEVER assume you know what you're doing until you have read and understood the instructions.

Could you be a bit more specific in what the problem is?

Judging by the screenshot he seems to be bothered by the random jagged white lines on the outside of everything.

I have never seen this problem before and do not know how to solve it, however I have no doubt this problem is caused by your alternate computer and not by the texture pack.
Try going into your computer's display settings and adjusting the screen resolution to a higher resolution.
I love this pack. There's only one thing I don't like, and it's the paintings with arrows. Use those paintings for other pictures.
Problem is, trying to get a good-looking, 32x32 pixel picture is a bit tough. I'm guessing Koolwitak made those for people who explore caves and need a way to indicate the way out in case of getting lost :smile.gif:

Originally I did, but now I'm not sure if people actually use them... I don't even use them, I just use signs.
I could try to find two more pictures to replace them, but I might be messing up someone's cave system.
I really wish polls still worked on this topic so I could just ask if anyone actually uses the arrows...
