I searched a bit and i couldn't seem to find one. Is there any chance somebody can/is working on a Mirrors edge Texture? I think that it would need to be above 64x64, to reflect the images, but it's not a big deal.
Oh, my God, someone do this. I <3 this game and would absolutely love to see a Minecraftian version of sleek, geometric, boldly-colored buildings. A citybuild server with this would be a dream.
And yeah, I'm also inspired to make a Faith skin when I have time. How did I never think of this before...?
Biggest problem with a Faith skin would be the fact that both of her arms would have to be the same, which would be incorrect (she only has the tattoo, glove, and elbow thing on her right arm). You wouldn't be able to have the tattoo around her right eye because it's simply too tiny to represent on a Minecraft skin. Also, due to the lack of resolution, you wouldn't be able to really convey her ethnicity or the string she uses to bind her pants' cuffs (the single black line I tried using looks pretty bad).
Neat idea, I'm not sure how high-res you need, from what I remember of the game they seemed to be mostly flat colors. A skin based on faith could be cool.
EDIT: I haven't done anything original yet (just modifying posted textures for my use) but I might actually take a try at this project. If I get anywhere I'll post it :smile.gif:
Thanks! Any ideas on grass? There's really like NO grass in the original game that I remember. :/
I was planning on trying a cement type look for smooth stone, but I'm almost tempted to make the grass some type of cement. Gonna put that tile on the backburner for now.
The challenge of this texture is minecraft is all about natural suroundings which is the complete opposite from mirror's edge.

What about that greyish concrete texture found on the rooftops on some of the buildings?
Well here's what I whipped up today. Right now I have smoothstone and cobble both being the white brickwork because it looks good indoors but I'm unwilling to smooth out all my stone :biggrin.gif:
I'm trying to capture the colors right now, brick types are still somewhat up in the air (not sure where to put blue)
Now has door and lanterns (WIP)
The orange tile is sand and the green brickwork is grass equivalent. The white block on the left is dirt. The blocks on the bottom right are gravel which I tried to make look like compressed trash. I actually kind of like how that came out. Looks a little better in game than in the screenie.
A better view of how the sand, grass and dirt look in their natural setting. (water & duck aren't mine)
Gold, iron, blue, and wood. Not too happy with how the wood came out, especially when tiling horizontally but it seems to always be red in ME. This one is with leaves being green brick instead of grass. Dirt is actually grey on top but the sun lighting makes it look as white as the sides, hrm.
I'm open to input though any "you suck" comments can be kept to themselves. I'm no professional graphic artist and I know this.
Cronstintein, this looks absolutely EPIC. I'm looking into modding ManicDigger (yeah yeah I know, inb4 hate) to implement Mirror's Edge style movement/parkour mechanics, and using these textures. Just as an experiment.
Hey thanks bro. You can do a wall run by putting ladders side by side :biggrin.gif:
I really like the white and red color choices, (I have seen a good portion of the game) but I would recommend making the greens a little duller to emphasize the sterile kind of feel the game (Mirror's Edge) gives over-all. Maybe a darker green.
I like the white/ red blocks and the pipe, but I don't like what you're doing with the grass and trees. You should still make them normal grass and trees (I'm pretty sure I saw trees/ plants once in the game, I think inside a building?). I would make the grass, dirt, and stone normal, and then everything else different. I'd make the iron block into an air conditioner or something like that.

I'm pretty sure he requested a texture pack, not a skin.

Just to be clear, the grass/dirt/torches aren't mine if that wasn't obvious.
